Why Autocheck.exe takes 3 + minutes at startup

Salvation;

I've recently set up a new build (the end plug) and after installing the win 7 updates that were available, I started having a recurring problem starting sloooooooooow.  I seem to have two options now, and none of them are perfect, that's why I post here.

1. I can restart and wait 3-4 minutes, and when windows starts, everything seems fine
2. I can remove autocheck autochk * of the BootExecute registry entry, then it starts fine, but then windows is locked for about 3 minutes after logon. Nothing does.  After that, it works fine.

In the investigation of this situation, I blame first SMSSinit, but I discovered later that this routine is rather a chaperone for the other processes that are running before Winlogon support functions of escort.  With the help of MS SDK, I found that it is Autochck.exe who is the culprit, taking 200-220 seconds on each boot.  I have done the following (and more) for this problem:

1. check all readers to forest Sales - none found
2 DAB check on all connected not discs - no error found
3 disabled Checkdisk in "task manager".
4 disabled Checkdisk on the register (when I do that, I get the scenario 2 above)
5 restart the computer in every way that I can imagine
6 tried a repair of windows with my stick UEFI (no love - don't say it found no problem)
7. I tried to go back to a previous restore point (I only had one and it has not resolved)
8 deleted all the updates of windows that I did (and all Win updates are set to manual only)
9 autochk.exe caught another install and put it in the folder Windows/system32 (after correct ownership of both) with a new name autochk_safe.exe and made the registry BootExecute entry to this application checkdisk (thought that was a smart test I found on another forum)

10A ran sfc/scannow - no problems found
11 set the registry BootExecute entry "" autocheck autochk / k: C / k: M / k: S k:R k:G * '. "  I tried this (which should skip autocheck at startup for C, G, M, R and S readers), but it changed nothing.  And it's a deactivation of all disks in the system.

If anyone knows what steps I can take here to stop this autocheck scope and not suffer the consequences, it would of course be appreciated.  And Yes, I know that I can do a thorough cleaning and reinstall, but it isn't necessary that something is the cause and needs to be identifiable and solvable IMO.

See you soon ~

Update Specs:
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1 (all the critical updates installed until I removed them to try to solve this problem)
ASUS X 99 Sabertooth Mobo

Corsair ForceGT 128 GB SSD (secondary drive and drive work when running on hand)

At this stage of installation the installation program has not yet copied all files or written a basic configuration register.  You can see the drive because the drivers are loaded into memory to allow the Setup program see the disks at this time there hadn't even told it the installer where to install Windows, how he knew where to put the files?

    Question:

Why oracle.exe takes 8 Virtual G; bytes, memroy target may not go beyond 5 G. How to minimize the virtual bytes perfmon

Thank you for your time and help.

When you talk about Oracle.exe you seem not to take into account

    -L'executable memory will too

-Oracle is a multithreaded Windows process, so memory consumption goes also to the different client that are connected to the database session.

This means, you consume approximately 3G of memory beyond the LMS, and it is quite reasonable.

So if you want to make sure that oracle consumes less than 8G memory, you have two options

    -reduce the SGA

You spend more than 50 percent of the memory of the SGA. Oracle has never recommended that

You might be willing to v$ sga_target_advisor allows you to see the impact of this change.

You may also set your SQL queries

-the second option you have is to stop Oracle.

For sure it will use less than 8G in this solution.

  • Why - what is take a minute to connect to an Apple TV via AirPlay?

We have recently updated our iPad Pros 10.0.1 and one of our Apple TVs to 7.2.1 (he is described as the Apple TV software version). We found that the Apple TV would go to a white screen as it linked. See how we were minutes a meeting where it would be necessary, I ended up swapping on the Apple TV with another. The second APPLETV logged a lot more quickly. I took the first Apple TV at the office to work with and test. I found that it it takes 30 seconds to act as AirPlay logs when it goes to a white screen. It takes another 30 seconds before displaying the iPad screen connection. It seems very long.

Hello. You are maybe not on the same network as the ATV WiFi slow? In this case, you can use AirPlay-to-peer that implements discovered via Bluetooth (must be activated on the iPad). The discovery of Bluetooth is slow because it has to wait for the answers. Connection may be slower, because the devices to implement a direct connection via an unused WiFi channel. 60 seconds is a bit long, however.

  • Why the first takes 10 minutes to start?

I mean, really, whenever I run any Adobe application, it loads all the fx, along woth a whole bunch of other things.  And it takes literlally open 10 miutes to the App!  It's crazy to me.

Is there a way to avoid this?

    A

I realized that it does this after the application is upgraded, for the first time it loads all the fx and other things (what ever they are).  After the first time the launch of the app in 5-10 sec.

    Everything is good.  Mahalo!

  • Why is it so slow Firefox! It takes 10 minutes to load, then 5 minutes to change between different pages. I have version 22, it is getting worse.

It seems the newer version of Firefox, it gets the slower. What is the BEST version to download to use? This used to be a fast browser, now it takes 10 minutes to load. I did all this mentioned on the historic authorized help page, hides, scanned the computer, deleted Firefox and reinstalled, but it does not work.

Chrome runs circles around Firefox, it will load in 10 seconds approximately and will work in MANY games better Firefox - using games is totally impossible with Firefox. I need to know which version is the fastest and has the best notes. It looks newer, it gets, the worse it works.

    Help!

I have the same problem with Firefox 25.0.1. It happened months and I'm tired of it. I can't even watch a video in Firefox - YouTube or something - because it is always too rough. I don't have this problem with Chrome or Opera. And Chrome is lightning fast.

I won't try Firefox in Mode without failure. Why should I? I will not uninstall other browsers, remove plugins (I don't really have a lot and they work very well in Chrome and Opera), or remove a file called User.js, if I have it. It is a bunch of nonsense. Firefox 25.0.1 works, or is not, without having to do all these things. So, I do not use Firefox any longer.

  • Windows 7 takes 10 minutes to stop

I can't work out why my laptop takes sometimes up to 10 minutes to stop.  It's an Acer 5920 G with a Core 2 Duo (T7300) and 2 GB of RAM.  It is currently running Windows 7 Home Premium that I have updated to Vista Home Premium (the two 32-bit).  It's on a small home network but the problem always occurs on the move to another network.

The delay seems to be longer if the laptop has been pressed for more - that is if the laptop was only for a few minutes then it stops very quickly but if it sat for a few hours then it can last from 10 minutes to stop.

The event viewer does not seem much help as creating even a newspaper custome of information at the time of the delay it shows nothing - here are the messages from and on the other (nothing appears between these times):

Information on 2010-02-02 22:09:14 general kernel 12 no

Information on 2010-02-02 22:00:20 general core 13 no

I ran full anti-malware scans and am pretty confident, that nothing bad is lurking.

I saw mention on some forums to clear virtual memory on shutdown, causing delays, but Windows 7 Home Premium does not appear to be the gpedit.exe utility that is recommended to treat this.  Also I looked in the registry and find a button labeled ClearPageFileAtShutdown which I guess would be that of seam of gpedit, but the value is 0x00000000 (0) - I think this definition means that the swap file should not be allowed to stop - is that correct?

I tried to adjust the WaitToKillAppTimeout registry key to two 2000 and 20000 but it seems to make no significant difference.

Does anyone have any ideas what else I can look for to find out what is the cause of the delay?

As a last thought - while the closing screen is sitting doing nothing for 10 minutes, I noticed some of the traffic network and slow disk, but I can't say that.  As I said earlier there seems to be nothing in Event Viewer records - at least that I can find.

I would be really grateful for any help with what I'm stuck what to try next!

    Thank you.

  • ASPX pages simple 8.5 IIS takes 10 minutes to load

I'm under IIS8.5 on Windows Server R2 2012 and have 9 websites operational. Some are MVC4, and some are classic ASP. Three of the ASP Web sites running perfectly, however, one of them takes 10 minutes to load. This is a simple web page with a single blow to the database and is very similar to other sites running on the same server ASP that work very well. I have reviewed the IIS and Windows logs and have enabled Failed Request Tracing. In the generated FRT for this page AspNetPageLoadEnter has a timestamp of 16:26:03.598 and AspNetPageLoadLeave has a timestamp of 16:36:08.739. The load event of the page on the page just sets a few variables and makes a call to the database to populate a grid of about 20 to 30 lines. This same database call is used on other pages in other sites so I don't thing is the problem. Each site uses its own application pool, but they are configured identically. Other sites Web ASP load in less than 10 seconds. Anyone has an idea why the load event of the page for this page takes 10 minutes? Could it be a setting in IIS that I'm missing somewhere? I tried to access this page several computers and directly on the server with the same results.

Here are a few lines of the FRT.

I found the problem. Try to connect to a server database that I do not yet have access to caused the delay of 10 minutes.

    Hi KanhanIblah,

1 Windows operating system you are using?

2 did you a recent software or hardware changes to the system?

    3. What is the brand and model of your system?

    Method 1:

If you use Windows 7, then try to run the troubleshooter of performance and check if it helps.

    Open the troubleshooter of Performance

If you use Windows Vista or windows XP, then try to run the Fixit from the link:

Difficulty of Windows system performance slow computer problems

    Method 2:

    Step 1:

You can try to boot into safe mode with network and check if the problem occurs.

See the articles to start in safe mode with networking:

Start your computer in safe mode

    Startup options (including safe mode)

    Step 2:

If you do not experience the problem in safe mode with networking, you can perform a clean boot and check if that helps.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

    Hi schuylerwoods,

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. You have a third-party security software installed on the computer?
    3. When exactly the computer freezes?

Msmpeng.exe process is used by the Microsoft Windows Defender to perform the procedures for scanning of spyware.

It is also possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
