  I have a single catalog LR 4.1 (Win7 x 64) with a picture of total, 186475 County, but the number of individual folders only adds up to 186280, and that's all I can see in the display of the grid for "all photos".   I've always wondered this, but now it's starting to annoy me that I'm experimenting with stacking to reduce/change layer noise.

  If I have 2 layers at 50% opacity and a layer of white below, these combined layers must be equal to 100% opacity and so I would not be able to see anything under the bottom layer.

  Instead I think it is that you have to stack layers of more than 15 to 50% until they begin even to appear opaque (and 15 that they aren't yet).

  What is the calculation behind here? I would have assumed that, with an image to 8-bit, 256 levels of transparency so at 50%, you have the two layers of 128; 128-128 = 0 or no transparency then why does photoshop still allow something to be visible under who? While we are there, why 100% completely opaque air, but 99% is radically different without layer below? Maybe math is adding up but an opacity of 50% is actually more like 5% opaque?

  There is a blending mode that I can use this desire similate the accumulation of opacity with more precision? I am really annoyed by the fact that I can't really predict how the layers will interact according to their opacity; I wish I have at least understood the science behind him so I could modify my process to produce the results I want.

  You were correct. If a layer is opaque at 100% and others are less opaque, then the layer 100% will have more than influence other layers. You do not have to calculate an average image in this way.

  I scored over there because I misunderstood what is meant. I guess it will give an average of layers if each layer has a percentage of opacity of 100/n, where n is its position in the stack, 1 being down.

  PS CS6 and CS5.1 (and perhaps earlier) extended characteristic image stacks that can calculate an average image.

  With a standard version of the Ps, mode 32-bit floating point to calculate an average image by adding your images and dividing by the number of images. The gamma in the process settings are necessary if your source images do not have a linear color profile because the Ps will convert it to linear on opening in a document of 32 bits.   Yet, as shown in the photo below, my iPhone backup size is only 2.2 GB. I use iOS 9.3.2 and have only an iPhone 6 64 GB, which is not jail broken, on the iCloud account. I iCloud drive, but I use it for only four apps and the total size of their files is only 14.2 MB. I do not use iCloud photo library, My Photo Stream or iCloud, photo sharing.

  What can be using the other 2.7 + GB of storage iCloud?

  I recently had the warning that my iCloud storage is running low.

  When you go to manage storage on my iPhone, it shows the current size of backup as 3.4 GB and the size of next backup as 64.4 MB.

  

  Looking at what is happening to back up, the most important is 148 MB of photos.  By adding up everything on the list that will appear I get about 250 MB.  I understand there are things like messages, mail etc. to go on top of that.

  First of all, how is my next backup size only 64.4 MB when it shows clearly more than that in the list below?  What is the amount of data needed to bring the backup to this day?

  Second, I'm not sure how to reach 3.4 GB size current backup.  What has always taken a lot of place are my photo library, but for about a year now, I don't have "My Photo Stream" and "iCloud Photo Sharing" voluntarily to keep my backup size low.

  My iPad back is up to 1.1 GB, which is what I was waiting for my iPhone to be.

  To answer your first question, backups are incremental.  It is, essentially, that the data/parameters have changed since the last backup are added to the current backup.  And, yes - 64.4 MB would just bring your backup to date.

  As for your second question, I'm not sure either, based on what you have demonstrated.

  I live in France and I have the same problem with the Xperia for Windows companion software. I bought the new XA Xperia a week ago. I connected with USB on my computer, I started companion Xperia and I launched the backup point. I selected all the boxes (documents, contacts, photos, videos, music). The backup process took several hours (4 hours precisely) and stopped at about 50% without any error message. So I cancelled the process of backup at this stage.

  I tried a new backup process by selecting only 'music' backup piece (I 314 music this cost 1.3 GB on the Xperia XA) and here, it worked and the backup process took about 5 minutes and finished.

  So, there's a big problem with the companion software when all the boxes of the savepoint are checked.

  I'll add a little technical add-on:

  ContextMenu is items that provide options available depending on the situation (selected text is different from the 'normal' text), location (in plain text, a table or a hyperlink) and the features supported (Word has a more extensive option set that Notepad).

  Context menus referenced to in this forum generally apply to Windows Explorer. You open a folder and right-click on the PDF file and want to have your features offered by Acrobat or any other tool. Now comes the idea: How does your system know about acrobat.

  Generally, the application is installed, and references are added to the system. To do this have keys added registry (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\pdf) or DLLS which are registered with Solution Explorer. In the distribution of ThinApp application however this is not the case. Yes, the references are made, but as native Explorer has no access to information (files/settings/registry) in the package to the full integration option does not work, even after a thinreg.

  To enable all of the features, the application (Explorer) should be started via the level of virtualization. However, there are 2 problems:

  #1: you don't want to load all applications as extensions because it would allows you to link (read: applink) all applications you want context menu link to. This will add a major performance hit, mainly the speed of loading of the application.

  #2: Windows allows 'not' have several versions of the Solution Explorer, as a native browser will always lead to other Aboriginal explorers. And the office is your first instance of Explorer! You would by default Explorer to be one who has all the features (contextual menus =). If you want, you will need to replace the Manager of the shell (office, registry entry) by reference to an Explorer.exe thinapped with applinked applications, you want to integrate.

  The disadvantages are worse than the benefit you earn.

  As an alternative, you can check what are actually used context menu additions. Some are just (already possible using thinreg) registry patches, and maybe some can be achieved by the publication of minor elements (a dll) with the native system. One option could be to have a mini-Setup started on the native system providing the desired functionality (and from the packed app if necessary). You might need some manufacturers of software managers/developers / application...

  And sometimes it's just not possible...

  I think it is normal.  The same thing happens to me.  In my view, once make you a first backup to iCloud, other "backups" are incremental.  Only changed data on the device (since the last backup) are added to the existing backup.  If I am wrong, perhaps someone could correct me.

  You can add another drive to accept backups Time Machine... assuming it is correctly formatted for Mac to Mac OS extended (journaled), but things are not exactly "continue."

  You have not indicated if you intend to add the player to the USB port on the Time Capsule, or connect directly to your computer using USB or FireWire connections. Or the other method works, with the option to connect directly to the computer being the faster connection.

  Once the disc is added, you would go in Time Machine preferences (click the "clock" at the top of the screen on your Mac) to add the disk for Time Machine backups and delete the old Time Capsule disk, since backups will go is no longer this destination.

  Since you have a new drive, Time Machine will do a new full backup of your Mac and then go forward with incremental backups.

  The path of the file is the full description where the file is located in the language of the operating system, including drive, directory and file name and extension.

  

  In the above example, the file path combines the two circled items-"E:\Webpix" and "BleedingHeart.JPG", the path to the file would be "E:\Webpix\BleedingHeart.JPG".  If you do not have an equal sign in the name of the file, you must have one in the folder or the equivalent.
