  My MBP 15 "mid-2015 retina stop completely during sleep. Often when I get back to my MBP, I have to start from scratch because it stopped during sleep. There is no message in the log to indicate why it closed and no error messages or indications of kernel panic. Sometimes the power and battery and with or without the lid closed. Latest OS X with all updates applied.

  Recently updated my BIOS Dell XPS 13 L321X-the worm 8. Since then, whenever I close the lid and put the laptop to sleep for several hours, the processor seems to come and the backstory is very hot. When the cover is opened, the screen remains blank and no wake mode 'sleep'. The only recourse is to make a hard stop with the power button and then restart. The laptop restarts then black screen troubleshooting, or select the normal startup of windows. Since then, I tried to update all the drivers, but still no luck.   To review, my problem started when I updated the BIOS to ver. A08. Before reading your solution, I ended up flashing my BIOS downgrade - worm. A07.

  I spent some time studying the reports. The cause of your problem is not clear at present.

  DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE bug control has a value of 0x0000009F. This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state.

• Why Vista won't sleep?

• How to keep the USB to USB UPS during sleep (Win 7 64)?

  Still no response to painful problem with connection to UPS for sleep loss system.

  New desktop (Dell Studio XPS 8100; Intel Core i-7 860 2.8 GHz processor; Win 7 Ult 64; 8 GB OF RAM; ATI Radeon HD 5770, etc.).
  Brand new APC Back UPS XS1300LCD w/power falling Personal Edition v. 2.2. (Win7 compatible).

  As with my old system to Vista Ult SP2 (32 bit), sleep cut power supply for USB devices, including the UPS.
  Thus, if a failure occurs during sleep, the APC software could not perform his managed system shutdown.
  Which defeats the purpose of having the inverter with its software to stop.

  TS: the manufacturer of my computer (Dell) and APC were useless.

  The only viable solution "circumvention" of Vista has been to implement a diet plan that NEVER put the HDD to sleep.  Not a very good solution, but at least it allowed UPS to stop software do its job failure.

  Apparently, it is the only solution for Win 7, as well.

  If I disable the USB selective suspend in the settings for a plan power which puts the HDD to sleep, will be this or do not solve the problem and allow the computer to maintain the power (and the link with) the UPS during sleep?

  Follow these steps and check if that helps:
  1. go to start and type in Device Manager in the start search box and press on enter.
  2. in Device Manager, right click on the USB device and select Properties
  3. click on power management, then uncheck to Turn off energy-saving and activate the option to wake up from its sleep.

  You can try to disable USB selective suspend and check if it solves the problem. Disabling this option has corrected the problems of connection with the devices USB mode 'sleep' for many users.

I have a couple of diagnostic CD, then run the tests is the same thing, but I ran the seagate diagnostic tool and the HDD OK passes, as does the main map, but cannot perform detailed testing that the system shuts down during the tests.

  I suspect an overheating issue but would like advice.

  Hmmm it s very strange. I thought that the HARD drive could malfunctions but it of very impossible if the HARD drive has passed the Seagate diagnostic test.

  However, it would be very interesting to know if the installation of the OS would end with another HARD drive.
  You know, it of always difficult to provide an exact solution without any diagnostic tests.

  For me, it really looks like a hardware malfunction. So perhaps it would be advisable to contact the authorized Toshiba maintainer for a control of the laptop.
  Guys could run tests and would situate the fault quickly.

  To be honest, all that you have done is correct and I might suggest already listed the things you have already posted. Problem is that there is just no much you can do. If you really think it's hardware related issue you must contact the Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

  They have diagnostic tools, and they may know what the problem is.

  We have just a fresh delivery of 30 x monitors HP E19Oi. Why HP stopped their expedition with DVI cables? They always used to but sudenly stopped. Clues behind this? They come with VGA Display port and USB cables but not DVI. Just annoying when you used when installing the moniotrs on PC
