• Why can't copy and paste text in DW CC 2014 certain programs?

  Since the update earlier this week from CC to CC 2014, I am unable to copy text from Notepad, NotePad ++ or Chrome (3 apps that I use a lot).  FireFox, Word Pad, and IE 11 work very well. I can copy and paste text from DW and DW to any porgram but not vice versa. If job code or mode Design seems not affect the result. Of course, my productivity dropped, please advise a solution or at least a workaround solution.

  I am running CC on 2 months, Asus notebook, Windows update 8.1 1, haswell i7-4800HQ, Geforce GTX 860 M, 8 GB of RAM.

  It is a known issue with Firefox 12. You can see the bug here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=749527

  It is set at 13 FF which should be released very soon. If this is the big drawback, you can download the beta now.

  Looks like you've changed your JPEGs for Picture Manager associations.
  In other words... If you left click a JPEG, it will open in Picture Manager.

  Because you are running Windows XP... it might be a good idea to change
  return to the default Windows Picture and Fax Viewer associations.

  Try the following steps...

  Right-click on a thumbnail of the image or the file name and choose the menu...
  Properties / change button... Select... Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
  OK / apply / OK.

  It is enough to select the URL by dragging your mouse over it & then use the keys Ctrl + C to copy & then paste it using Ctrl + V keys.

  I honestly have a hard time understanding why I can't layers Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V, or folders (with styles and properties) in Photoshop, although I can with other elements in Photoshop and with almost all elements of all software published by Adobe (including the insurmountable more complex layers of an After Effects composition). My only option really is to visit the source document containing my watermark layer more than thirty times to retrieve a single item of data which could and should only be required in my Clipboard and available with a simple keyboard shortcut (note also that my brand fusion styles will be also adjusted according to the photo, excludes a selection of brand that can be copy and paste but only as a raster with an alpha channel layer).

  Also use ctrl/cmd-J to duplicate (copy) a layer in the same document, which will retain all of its attributes. And as Trevor mentioned, you can just drag the layer in the layer panel to another document tab to replicate to another document - no menus, no workspace rearrangement.
