  Well - which is not true as says the quote from doc. As the doc says the of ' means "action, table lock" - share the table. If several sessions to share the table any of the sessions can be updated.

  SX and S are not compatible because the of ' is a table lock and "SX" is a line lock. If a session snaps a row then this session MAY update the line even if other sessions have locks on the other lines. Several sessions may lock the different lines and update.

  But as the doc said ' means sharing the table and you can only update it is you're the only session the ' lock.

  Do not forget that you modify the menus.xml file (or any file) in the
  User, not the folder for Configuration of Application Configuration file.

  There are 2 reasons for this:

  1. the files in the user configuration folder replace files in the config of the App
  folder and DW copies menus.xml in the default user configuration folder.

  2. If you change the application configuration file, then it is more difficult (or impossible)
  to return to the configuration by default if things go haywire. Always
  Copy to the user configuration folder and edit it. Then just del; eting
  the user configuration folder returns DW to the State of origin.
