Why CF11 seems to sleep after no access in a few minutes?

I used CF10 and my site response time was fast, especially on my local development machine.  I upgraded my development and live servers CF11 and both seem to have a delay in the first bout.  It seems to be customer and possibly specific browser.  If I walk for about 10 minutes and come back, then when I try to load my site (on my local machine) it takes about 10 seconds to load.  As long as I continue to use it is fast and responsive, but if I walk 10 minutes again and come back, it seems to have to wake up.

Is there a setting I can adjust?  Is anyone else seeing this?

I'll also do note that even if a Web site that I am developing is fast and responsive, as soon as I try to access another Web site using the same IIS and CF11 then there a wait time.  It's like this is to find something with the browser until it's ready to charge.

This is no doubt hardware failure. The laptop could be overheating and/or other components could be involved. Contact Lenovo technical support or take to a competent local computer Tech do not use a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place.

If you have a pretty good level of computer skills, you can test some components yourself although it is more difficult to make accurate material on a laptop computer troubleshooting.

  • 360 13 inches x spectrum: spectrum x 360 8.1 Windows stops to get into sleep after a few hours

My x 360 spectrum stops to get into sleep after a few hours of normal behavior.  In other words, when the computer is started first, he put on standby and Hibernate mode then normally after the specified idle period.  It can then be woken up and work normally and then to go back to sleep after inactivity - during a few hours.  It stops working after the computer has been for a few hours.  I don't know exactly how much time must be in place before this problem starts, but once it ceases to be able to sleep, the only way to solve the problem is to reboot the system.  Once the problem occurs, the computer turns off the screen but that's it.  He will sleep if I do it manually by pressing the button of power or a click on the Windows button and forcing them to sleep or hibernation.

I found a thread on Microsoft answers community web site.  Unfortunately, it seems that Microsoft has not fixed even though this thread is over a year.  This has been driving me crazy.  In any case, the problem is with Windows 8.1 and is caused by the use of a Microsoft account to connect to the computer.  If the account is not connected, after a few hours the computer stops to fall asleep.  If you close the MS account, then the computer will sleep normally.  My dose is to convert my connection from the local computer to a local account and disconnect from Microsoft.  This process is easy to do, go into the settings of PC and disconnect the account.  It will keep your original profile.

Here is the link to the thread that got clued in the solution:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows8_1-performance/Windows-81-refuses-to-sleep-automatically-idle/6ab4aaaf-31bd-4baf-ABC6-62ba8c8260aa?DB=5&page=2&rtAction=1452178632575

I consider this resolved issue that HP is concerned.  Microsoft needs to address the issue.  I'm not interested in switching to Windows 10 for compatibility reasons and, in this regard, the same problem can exist in the W10.

  • After a few minutes of use, Firefox becomes suddenly unable to access most of the sites.

Firefox running on the latest version of Fedora, after a few minutes of use, Firefox becomes unable to access many Web sites. It seems to be limited to the Web sites I visit frequently, but it is difficult to say. It affects all sites, however. It also affects the same sites every time. Restart the browser fixes it, and that it will often resolve itself given sufficient time, also.

I tried to clear my history and cookies, reset the browser and navigation without any active modules, but nothing seems to have an effect.

    Try disabling IPv6.

    Check also for other issues.

    Hello

Is it in laptop mode when Toshiba keyboard Dock is fixed or in tablet mode only?
Is it if the adapter is connected or only when the adapter is removed?

The computer will automatically mode 'sleep' according to the sin of setting power options. To access this click
Office-> Office help-> Control Panel-> system and security-> power options options
(or Win key + X-> power options)

Here you should find the option called display auto power OFF
This feature automatically cuts off the power to the screen when there is no input of keyboard for a while

You can also see the hybrid sleep feature that appears also in Power Options.

In addition, I recommend check you the settings of Intel Display Power Saving technology.
    This feature is enabled by default and controls the current consumption b< optimizing="" the="" picture="" contrast="" and="" internal="" lcd.="" this="" can="" be="" used="" if="" notebook="" is="" running="" in="" battery="" mode="" and="" using="" the="" internal="" lcd="" display="">

To access this feature, he must right click on the desktop, and then click graphics properties
-> Select battery from the drop-down list in the power source, and then click Power.
Then, clear the checkbox display energy saving technology and lick OK.

  • Satellite P10 automatically goes to sleep after 15 minutes

My Satellite P10 automatically goes to sleep after 15 minutes. This is a setting that is controlled by Toshiba or the Console of Toshiba power management settings.

When I change the settings it the system will always standby after 15 minutes. When I go into Control Panel control/Performance and Maintenance/Power Options, it tells me to go to the Toshiba power management to change the settings, but I still see the parameters in grey indicating the standby time of 15 minutes.

But in the Toshiba power management, I can't seem to be able to adjust the sleep settings, so that they work effectively. There must be something for her...

    Can someone help me understand?
    Thank you very much

    Hello

The fact is that if Toshiba energy saving is installed on the laptop Toshiba, the Microsoft OS power management doesn't work. You must use the Toshiba power saver to change settings.
In power save you will find different modes.
If the power supply is on if you need to change the power mode in the power section. Here, you simply mark the mode full power and click for details.
You can now find mode properties. Select the Power Saver tab.
You will find various controls that are responsible for different functions. Change the settings on the standby system controller.

  • Why Vista won't sleep?

My Windows Vista laptop will not fall asleep (a bit like my niece of 3 years and his nephew).  I press the power button and it shutsdown, then the moon just above the keyboard lights, which indicates the mode 'sleep'. Then, there is a beep, and he "wakes up" and asks me to connect.  Why he will not sleep and how to fix it?

Then, when I fall asleep, the computer is idle for a certain time and set power options my PC in "standby", then it will beep and power back on - all night long (the situation is even worse if I close my blanket and he travels between going to "the sleep mode" and turn on/off.)

Also, I read in the help file on a different type of sleep called Hibernate (or something like that). But the help file didn't tell you how to turn on hibernation. There is no Hibernate option on menu close of session/stop/restart on the start menu (what you call). How do that (after I fixed the first problem)?

    Thank you

    Hello Jeff999,

Please use the Forum for answers.

    Solution:

    > Enter the Device Manager.
    > Right click on the wireless network device and click Properties.
    > Click power management.
    > If 'Allow this device to wake the computer' was not selected, select it and click OK.

Also check with the following link.

    That should solve the problem.

    Thank you.

I installed the HP4620 wireless printer, now OSX you waking up from his sleep after about 15 minutes, it didn't happen until I installed the HP4620.  So I opened a terminal and did a search for why the printer wakes up, the result was:

Wake up the reason: GLAN HDEF EHC2

I couldn't find any information about it, so I turned off and unplugged the printer, then turn on the computer sleep (which "now takes about a minute to sleep), now OSX wakes up after 45 minutes. So with the printer off and it's wake up yet, I think it must be something to do with the HP software installed?

Does anyone else have this problem?  Any suggestions to correct sleep would be appreciated.

    Thank you

Thanks for the reply but reset the SMC did not work, I have reinstaled 10.8.3 OSX then the printer and sleep works again.  Forgot to mention, I am running a Hackintosh on a Gigabyte H77N-wifi Board but never had any problems with sleep or HP printers, it not was not up to what I have installed the HP4620 sleep has become is down with insomnia.

If you want just a report of chkdsk on your C partition select Start, run, type "cmd" without the quotes in the box and press ENTER. Type chkdsk, and then press the ENTER key and a report, stating, among other things, a summary of how disk space is used, is provided. If you want a report on a partition or one drive other than C, you need to go to this partition. To access F, where F is the required partition you type F: and press the ENTER key.

Copies of the reports from a command prompt can be tricky. Right click and select mark. This allows to highlight the selected text, and then click on copy. You will then open Word, Notepad or similar file, right click and paste. The selected text transfers your Clipboard to open the file. You can paste directly into a response message to the majority of the forums.
