Why does'nt this new version works with Norton worm 6? My old version of Firefox is!

My old version of Firefox worked perfectly with Norton Antivirus Version 6 just bought. I have updated to you application to the new version of Firefox, which now claims I have 5.5 Norton which is not supported. It makes no sense at all. My secure connections and auto password doesn't work anymore and I want that protection through Norton. Please advise me.

Symantec needs update their Firefox Add-ons to make them compatible with Firefox 4. They indicated that, for Norton 360, they plan to release a update of Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early may - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web & docurl = 20100720113635EN & ln = en_US

I don't know about the time scale for the updates for other Norton products. Waiting for the update by Symantec, if you want to use Norton modules, you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.

Downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first of all uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option 'remove my Firefox personal data '. If you select this option, it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.

Then you can install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your favorite courses, passwords etc.

I recommend, to avoid possible problems with decommissioning, accessing your profile folder and delete the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Delete these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, check their compatibility and cancel the toolbar customizations.

  • I get the following message:-Firefox 35.0.0.5486 this new version of Firefox contains important security and bug fixes and page offers much improved making it

I have received several messages inviting me to download the software updates that I use. I think they are attempts to get help with phishing or such. The last "software update available" amplifies - "this new version of Firefox contains an important security and bug fixes, and much improved page rendering times offer." Is generated by anyone at Mozilla, or automatically in Mozilla? Mozilla distributes these types of messages? That Firefox is updated automatically, then these messages should have no useful function except to help with the download of some intrusive camera, which I did not need. Are there plug-ins that I should throw?

Upgrade to Firefox 35 is currently limited and not everyone gets the new update offered at this time.
If this is the case for you, then you can manually update via help > topic.

    Solael,

Best is to ask the support of Comcast directly.

    http://forums.Comcast.com/T5/security-and-anti-virus/BD-p/13

Are you aware that Firefox 21 is scheduled to be released next Tuesday, May 14?

    https://wiki.Mozilla.org/RapidRelease/calendar

Comcast & Norton are already over 5 weeks of delay in the release of a compatibility update for Firefox 20.

Norton being the update compatibility Firefox 20 for their retail security applications in the 2 hours 20 Firefox being out, my guess is that Comcast is a delaying the update for their version of 'brand' of Norton.

See this response from a Manager Norton at the forum in support of Norton on April 29.

I apologize for not replying sooner. We're sorry for the delay, and we understand how frustrating this situation has become, however Norton & Comcast are working hard to resolve some recent changes for the Comcast Norton Security Suite. We want to reach a commercially viable resolution together in the best way possible, and do that as quickly as we can. I'll update you on any status change or additional information as it becomes available. Thanks for hanging in there with us.

I read 'commercially viable resolution' , as they are worth some money, and Comcast is dragging their customers dry for almost 6 weeks now.

  • How can I change the size of the tab in the new version of Firefox?

    Hello

Thanks for any help in advance.

Of course the new Firefox is to play with me... But I have a question...

    Facts...

    (1) I have an iMac... 17-inch... So I can open many, many tabs at once.

    (2) I just restarted my computer again.

    (3) I am working on the research of all the old stuff, but I can't seem to find two specific items...

In the previous version, and before I restarted, I had about 40 tablets (including the Cluster Tabs) open up whenever I started a browsing session. But now, I can't seem to control the size of the tabs, so they get less close I had?

I have already downloaded "Vulcanize tabs" but is no help... I think it was a specific theme which allowed me to do this, but many of the topics do not work with this new version of Firefox.

I think I'll have to wait until the themes are updated? Or, you have a better idea?

    Also...

I want to get rid of 'X' on each tab and have only one button close the tab on the far right of my navigation tabs bar.

    Any help?

    If so, thanks again!

PS... Is it possible to reverse my download of the newest version of Firefox and to return to the previous one, until this new one gets lots of bugs a worked-out?

To do what you want, you need to change some advanced settings.

    1. Open Firefox.
    2. Type of topic: config in the address bar.
    3. You see a warning message. Press on the I'll be careful, I promise! button to continue.
    4. In the filter text box, enter browser.tabs.tabMinWidth
    5. In the entry which appears, browser.tabs.tabMinWidth, right-click and choose Edit and enter a value more high. You'll need to experiment with this one. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.tabs.tabMinWidth
    6. To the close button, replace the filter browser.tabs.closeButtonsvalue, right click and click on modify, then enter the value 3 . See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.tabs.closeButtons

You may need to restart Firefox so that these are taken into account.

    Decommissioning:
Note at the top of the following link (where you can download Firefox 3.5.9, the latest 3.5.x version), that support all 3.5.x versions that should be completed in August 2010.

Sorry, this is a message from the heart function. She undergoes a bug right now. Better to turn it off if you can get immediate relief.

To turn off the heart rate:
Talk openly about: config config in a tab, then search for browser.selfsupport.url and double click on it and set it to an empty value.

You may need to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.

  • Why so many major new versions?

Why did we have so many new versions of Firefox this year? A milestone was reached when 4.x came out at the begging of the year and since then, we have had versions 5.x, 6.x, 7.x and now 8.x within a few months. It seems that version 9 is already in beta...

Most of the updates seem to be minor or intermediate in nature - and certainly nothing that would require a major version release - so why so many new versions this year?

In addition, given that the installation of update don't does not automatically move you to the next major release, are all these versions still supported?

Updates have been replaced by a quick release cycle and that means an upgrade every 6 weeks for the next major release.

The new version replaces the previous version and that version is no longer supported.

Only Firefox 3.6.23 and Firefox 8.0 are supported.

Currently, Firefox 7.0.1 is always available as a result of the investigation of reports of incidents.

  • The new version of FireFox in Windows 7 does not accept an address typed in the address bar

    Windows 7
    New version of Firefox

When you type a website address in the address bar and pressing ENTER it nothing happens. I go back to the previous version of Firefox, and this ability works very well. This is a feature I use a lot.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

Try to open a new window to see if the address bar works in this new window.

  • How can I customize the new firefox so I can see all of the HTML "title tag"? Its sky partially obscured in this new version.

I am a webmaster/work in site development and need to see the FULL "title tag" or the browser title to each of the pages I visit. It is now partially hidden and I have to "view source" (the source html code) in order to see the FULL title tag. Before it was completely visible; now, I see only a small part of it. How should I do if I can see the whole thing? I can't drag the tab bar to make it bigger.

I don't speak of this < title > ask a Question | Support Mozilla < /title >; some some pages title tags are much longer and obscured now in this new version of Mozilla. I need to see the full thing! Help, please!

    Method 1

Simply hover the mouse over the tab until the ToolTip appears.

    Method 2

    1. Right-click on a zone empty of the tab bar and select Customize.
    2. Click the button on the title bar in the lower left corner to activate the title bar.
    3. Click the Customize output button when finished.
  • Why disable common features and hide completely to use a new version of firefox

When a new version of Firefox comes out the end, all to often when there new features or a programmer has a different idea of what they like from the previous version, the features are enabled by default and things are rearranged without any choice by the user. A concrete example is that when I installed Firefox 24 on my wife's computer he disabled the menu bar and put the tabs on top. To add insult to injury, there is no settings option to put the hind below! I do not how much someone loves the tabs on the top, the right way to handle these kinds of feature upgrades is to leave everything as it was in terms of parameters and display a web page that contains a button that says what each change with a Yes and no button so that the user can try if they want TO or not , and not just say (effectively) "we are the Lords and ask you to use this and we know better. If this method is too difficult then just don't change the settings and leave a page "what's new". I know it is free SW and contribute many dedicated, but to do your darnedest to confuse or annoy your users is not the way to do it. Imagine if you took your car to have a new mounted radio and when you got the brake pedal was in the backseat and the guy said "we like better that way.

BTW, to have the tabs just above the web pages you are watching way makes more sense to have the 3 lines now.

    Hello

Most people answer on the support forum is volunteers of Mozilla (including me) so we are not able to comment on that kind of decision. We are not involved in choosing how new versions are gone.

The best place to make a comeback would be this page:

    https://input.Mozilla.org/en-GB/feedback

If you want to make Firefox v24 v3 looks like, then you can use a theme such as Firefox 3 theme.

I hope this helps. Let me know if not.
