  Well I just installed Sims 2 on Windows 8 and despite warnings of incompatibility, I opted to start anyway. He threw very well and the woman had just had a solid 1.5 hours of gameplay without a hitch, so even though it is not officially supported at least my Setup seems to work quite OK.

  My GPU is checked, and I found the problem. One of the photos in the slide show was missing. As soon as I removed the missing picture in slideshow, it works beautifully.

  Are you talking about 5.5 PS reported 16 years ago? I think I heard someone say that they got that work, it is that such an old program that it is not intended to be run on modern OSS. It is a 32-bit program, and I think that you must have your hard drive partitioned off less than 1 TB, or it will not be installed. There is also the review of folder names. The default is to load the programs (at least in Win) in the folder c:\program files, which is intended for 64-bit programs. PS 5.5 must be loaded in the (x 86) folders, but its installer has no idea about it.

  There is no suggestion that Win98 is supported, and I don't know where you got the impression as is. It can work if you try to run your projector in compatibility mode (right click on the executable, select Properties-> compatibility)

  Just about everything works except the secure digital memory card slot.

  Until I installed Vista I ran the Compatibility Wizard and he said a few things that may not work, but the one that stood out was "SD Memory Card Format Utility.

  Maybe the new operating system Vista doesn t include the compatible driver for the SD card controller.
  Right now the Vista is not supported by Toshiba because this OS is not official on the market.
