Why is my pixelated text in Illustrator when I want to save for web?

I added a grunge effect to this policy. He is moving up and down and very well, but when I preview the it in the 'Save for web' option, it is pixelated. I tried making an object, but I got the same result. Illustrator should we can't measure these without problems?Screen Shot 2014-08-11 at 6.20.17 PM.png

This is a screenshot of the text first. Illustrator is open and zoomed in to around 600%

This second example is when I tried to register for the web and the zoom in almost 600% again.

arcbo,

If I (put) understand, what you see is simply the image rasterized pixels.

If you save for Web to the exact size as it is used for, pixels correspond to use and it will look nice.

Any raster image looks pixelated when scaled beyond its actual size.

  • When the batch of save for Web, Illustrator also records the .ai file copy

This question has been asked and abonadoned here, so I write because it also happens to me.

    CS4 and CS5 (I tried both), Mac OS 10.6

    1. I select action 'Save for Web PNG', which is part of the package by default, and select "batch".

    2. I choose a source folder and choose a destination folder and check "Override Action"Save"commands."

3 illustrator then performs the backup of Web action, but puts the .png files in the destination of origin specified in the action. It also puts copies of .ai files in the destination folder, I have created and specified in the batch dialog box.

I want the .png files in my folder, and I don't want copies of .ai files.

Pulling my hair out on this one, go to lunch. Thanks in advance for any help

Hello, you might want to re-create the backup of the levels of web preferences:

According to http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/preference-file-names-locations-photoshop.html, you must remove the file "Adobe save for Web CS6 Prefs"

located in Documents and Settings / [user name] / Adobe/Plugins/Adobe save for Web CS6/Photoshop

I've seen cases where Photoshop has no permissions to change this file, so the errors you got.

    I hope this helps you.

  • Where the file is saved when I "save for Web?

When I'm with 'save for web', (AI 2014 CC), I get a "Save" button, but no button "save under". " After hitting the 'Save', I can't locate the new file on my drive. What is the trick?

    John,

Maybe it's time for the list: obviously, you should give the opportunity to the save location. unless it's a new feature just send it somewhere on the internet.

The following is a general list of things, try when the question is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media. You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

    (1) close Illy and open again.

    (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

    (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

    4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you can find the file here:

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Illustrator/KB/preference-file-location-Illustrator.html

    5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

    Even worse, you can:

    (6) (check the box to delete the preferences), run the cleanup tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC) to uninstall and reinstall.

From my experience, when the app desktopp starts to work, the only thing that will fix it is to run the cleanup tool:

    1. Uninstall the desktop CC application.
    2. Restart your computer.
    3. Download and run the CC cleaning tool: use of the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems
    4. Follow the instructions in the cleaning tool - you want clean Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop.

  • Whitespace around image when you save for Web

I have to draw a simple square in Illustrator CS6 then export it to a PNG using save for Web. The preview shows 1px thick of white space on the right side. Sometimes it's on 2 sides or more.

No other hidden element is around the image. Clip on the artboard in not clicked.

Why is it happening and how to get rid of him?

For once I want to meet a good post and say somehting about snap to grid of pixels.

Your image now align with the pixel grid

Turn the power off when you do not not web work, or will you crazy in the car.

  • Bug in CS5 render anti-aliased text in "save for web".

Looks like there is a bit of a bug when using 'save for web and devices' with light weights of type in CS5 for Mac. Although the slim type looks good while working in Illustrator, as soon as you enter the "Save for web" dialog, it gets seriously distorted. It seems that this issue has been present at least since CS4. It happens not in Photoshop. It seems particularly bad for light text on dark background.

Some people may say ' of course, Illustrator is not really intended for work intensive bitmap. However, with features like "look pixelated" and 'hold on to the pixels', Illustrator is (usually) become a very effective way for web design, and personally I prefer it to Photoshop. It is also clear that Adobe intends it to be used in this way. In order to make anti-aliasing bug is certainly a problem. Just surprised that they don't have not address it when CS5 is born.

I have implemented some images on http://www.thesheep.co.uk/2011/06/24/illustrator-save-for-web-anti-aliasing-problems/ example to illustrate the problem.

Are there any smart workaround for this? It's a bit annoying to have to hover over stuff in PS before exporting, but maybe that's what I have to do. I hope that Adobe will address this soon.

In save for web go to the "Image size" tab and select type optimized menu. It takes the smoothing parameter that you selected in the character Panel.

Get better when you do it like that?

  • Save for web and devices png suddenly pixelated

I've been using Illustrator for several years and upgraded to CS5 (Mac) this fall.  I had been using 'Save for web and devices' and save my graphics as png files using preset png - 24 format option.  However, they are now save as very small files (< 5 k) and incredibly pixelated.  I don't know if I've changed in some way and option preference or inadvertently, or if it's something that makes CS5.  I need the files to come out clearer, but when I export and use a resolution more high that they are too big for my client to use, because it is pulling them in Photoshop on a PC.  Can anyone help?

CS 5 there are three options for how the art is optimized, none, which is what you have selected, art and nature.

  • Save for Web file default in Illustrator CC 2015.3

Following the upgrade to Illustrator CC 2015.3, whenever I want to export my work using ' export > save for web... "it is by default in GIF file format In previous versions, it is lacking in any format that you used previously, but now it always goes to the GIF format.

I have made online and product and can't find anyway to change that. It's a minor change, but when you are exporting multiple images in the creation of digital assets for marketing campaigns is incredibly frustrating and lose time when you must always choose the type of file you want.

I've noticed this time when you use Illustrator at home on my PC and Mac at work. There is the option "Export for screens", but that can be a bit of a faff, especially when you have to go and rename each file after export.

In short, is there a way to change the default file format 'save for web', says PNG?

We have released a fix for this problem. Please update.

I wanted to save the result to the web / devices and if I still get some white stripes in the .gif image. I have a jpg image file that I placed in my Illustrator 5 file to use as background and then created several vector buttons on the top.  When I try to create an arboard around a single button and then save it to the web, it ignores the size of the artboard and shows the dimensions of all jpg.  If I create the same file without the background jpg image, I am able to use work plans to record only a single button.  Every time I place a jpg image in my Illustrator file and try to use work plans, work plans are ignored and the entire area of the jpg is saved.  I am able to use the tool cuts to the economy, but I prefer using work plans.  Anyone have any suggestions on how to get the work plans of work when a jpg is placed in the file?  Thank you.

    Hello

In Illustrator CS4 when I create a chart on my work plan and click on save for Web, the 'export' area is trimmed to fit exactly to the work.

After the update to CS5, it is no longer the case and I have to adjust the size of the artboard manually before using save for Web.

Can't simply uncheck you the "Crop for artboard" option in the save for Web dialog box?
