  Kind of off-topic here.  Instead of storing your project in a network folder, you must use CSC (control of software Code) like Tortoise SVN software.  The repository that you store on the network.  This would allow you to work on your local project on your computer and the validation of the changes.  And if you really mess something upward, you can perform a simple revert back to the last commit.  This is really handy when you work with a team since then, so you can perform an update to get all the other changes involved as well.
