Why Java makes my slower system?

A few weeks ago I was looking on Google images, and after a left click to display, I was taken on its Web site. When I tried to save the image, I was prompted to download Java. This confuses me because I assumed that it had already been installed - but no, so I downloaded it no problem. Java has changed the way some of my usual pages respond or display - some I like better... some not. The biggest difference has been the decrease in overall response time if I am offline or online. I went from having almost instant responses to a left click (whatever) to wait 10 seconds or more (usually more) for a new online page or tab to open... time sometimes. Even offline, open the folders and files used to flash immediately, but now, some take a few seconds sometimes - as they are "stuttering".

Everything I do is filtered on Java, somehow, slowing down the system?

Certainly, it won't hurt to try JavaRa, but I suspect it happens something else that Java doesn't have normally this effect on performance (even if a Java exploit would give...).

I think the chances are that your problem is more over-zealous antivirus program or malicious software.
In any case, try JavaRa and reboot and let us know how things are and we'll take it from there.
Finally, this behavior occurs in several browsers? (What browser and version do run normally?)

  • Why are the plugins Java required by medical systems not allowed to be reactivated, allowing medical facilities continue to operate?

The problem with the more recent blacklist of the East, it is that the health care industry is behind in technology. Many medical systems is old and need older versions of Java to work. The blacklist because of countless facilities to lose the ability to water rescue medication order. Even my tech support office was bombarded with phone calls about this for the last 2 days. What can be done to allow these older versions of Java work in Firefox and restore the facilities to full operation?

    Hi JRChadwick,

Sorry to hear about lag in technology of the health industry. There are older versions of Java Active. Oracle has released a update in February that resolves the security issue. What does Mozilla has been a softblock on it, which means that users get a notice this plugin it will be disabled and give them the option to activate it. To enable:

    1. Go in Tools > Modules > Plugins.
    2. Next to Java, click Activate.

If the Enable button is not available, the block lists should have been updated before that Mozilla has changed to a softblock instead of a hardblock. In this case, follow these steps:

    1. Go to help > troubleshooting information.
    2. Click Open containing folder. That should open your profile folder in Windows Explorer.
    3. Closing Firefox.
    4. In your profile folder, delete blocklist.xml and pluginreg.datfile.
    5. Launch Firefox.

At some point after that, you should then get prompt blocklist, but this time the ability to not disable it should be there.

But I can't really emphasise this point: these versions of Java are actively used and the latest version is not vulnerable. If there is no chance, you can use the latest version of Java with the medical systems, this is the way to go.

  • Why "Effects make in bench" goes so slow?

I was working on a project using multicam, and I made my cuts before my color correction and went to the color and make the multicam directly sequence. After opening in the timeline and tweaking the color for a while, I went to render the effects by using the command 'Render effects in work area. This was very fast at the beginning and had probably done 75% of the way through in a few minutes. However, once he touches a point, make it slowed down to only a few frames per second and the last 25% would take 2 hours. I cancelled and began the process, but this time make it whole progressed slowly.

    A few important notes:

-The total length of the sequence is 1 hour 20 minutes, is not a short thing

-J' tried this on two different computers, the second I went to slow from the get-go courses

-The first time while doing this, I went (foolishly) to another program and (foolishly) attempted to restore the entire clip at a time (instead of using a smaller area of work). With the help of a small workspace makes no difference in the speed at this stage, however.

-Multicam sequence is composed of two elements, one with a corrector of luminance effect and an effect curve luminance, the other with a corrector of luminance effect and an RGB curves effect

-J' tried to empty the cache

    Data sheet:

    Premiere Pro CS6 (not cc)

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 M 512 MB graphics card

Working from a USB3.0 1 TB LaCie rugged drive

    Anyone have any ideas?

I guess speed earlier was an anomaly, and the current speed is to be expected.

  • X140e why it is so slow

Why is it so slow? This was my first purchase of laptop in 4 years and I think the NEW Lenovo is slower than my last (an hp computer that cost $300). I got this x140e recommended by a computer scientist at my college, after the death of my old laptop in a flood. so why this computer costs $500 if she is so slow? and what I can do to fix this? is there something or am I stuck with a computer that takes 10 seconds to switch between the tabs? and I've been to 3 separate internet connections, who had the same result, super slow X140e. I'm doing something wrong?

I had the same problem. The problem is that the system of stock only comes with 2 GB of RAM, and integrated graphics subsystem takes 512 MB off for video application. If you have only 1.5 GB free memory left!

Since the X140E has two memory slots, I added 4 GB of RAM so I with the existing 2 GB 6 GB total. Now the machine is much more responsive and faster. I am running Windows 7 64 bit and it is not nearly as slow more.

Check the Task Manager, I can see the average BONE needs from 1.7 to 2 GB of RAM for light loads and > 2 GB for heavy loads. So the 1.5 GB available in a stock system is not enough RAM to all!

If yours has only 2 GB I would add a little more. I really think that the X140E should come with 4 GB as a default, because performance is hampered with 2 GB. I can say in my situation as adding RAM helped.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

I have a MacBook Air with active FileVault 2012. There is no significant difference in performance. Note, however, that there will be a performance impact until the original encryption is complete and that it doesn't have a way to stop it.

  • Scroll smoothly makes very slow scrolling

Since the version 15 (I think), the functionality of scrolling smoothly in Firefox makes very slow scrolling. Before that it was a much faster way. With the scroll wheel makes it easy to just go up or down a page, it is smooth, but terribly slow. With smooth scrolling turned off, it is all back to normal speed (as in Windows Explorer, but also in Internet explore when scrolling is quite normal speed). Downside with people with disabilities, of course it's all more jerky now.
All the drivers are up to date. Everything where I scrolling is not serious, the normal speed. Only Firefox is way to slow down with scrolling when Smooth Scrolling is enabled.

Is it possible to change the speed of scrolling with active smooth scrolling?

Well, did some experiments and found a setting in everything: config that makes Smooth Scrolling fast and smooth: look in: config for mousewheel.min_line_scroll_amount. By default, which has a value of 5. I changed only in 50 and now smooth scrolling looks and feels like before.

  • Why the update did slow my MacBook pro down so

Why the update did slow my MacBook pro down so much? What could be in the last update of El Capitan to slow my Mid 2010 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro 2.66 down so much?   He has never run it slow before! Everything takes more time in all areas. Could I have made a mistake during the download and installation?  If so is it possible to force a re - install the latest update?

I don't know if I can restore back after an update of this size. Everyone has similar problems or have thoughts on what could be wrong? I know it's far from being a State of the art Macbook Pro. But it was working fine before the update.

Any thoughts would be really appreciated. I can't afford to buy anything newer right now.

  • Is the another great category why my computer is slow?

I get a lot of beach and the General slow balls spinning this month.

One thing I checked last week my storage status. 237 free GB to 999 GB and 618 for which is the category "other"!  I hate this wave "other" category. Here is a screenshot.

You can see that I have barely keep anything on my internal drive. I don't have a lot of applications. The ones I use regularly is Mail, Safari, Lightroom and Photoshop.

A few years ago I learned about a procedure in disk utility to completely erase the disk space, but when I went to do, I couldn't find more, as El Capitan got rid of him. Is there something similar I can do?

Is this large amount of yellow on the bar as alarming as it looks and probably why my computer is slow?

    Thank you!

p.s. in another thread, I will post about a glitch that happens with my trash. Maybe it's related.

The function of Secure Erase of Trash was removed to El Capitan. One of the reasons was that it worked as expected. The other is that it reduces the life expectancy of the SSD.

I would suggest your download and install OmniDiskSweeper. When you rum ODS, it will tell you the names of the files and folders that use the most space. You can then decide for yourself or ask us what can be detected or moved.

The first step in the process must be a full backup of everything.

  • How to make the autonomous system?

Hello, I want to make my autonomous system (means do not need a pc to run) using myrio 1900 board.so is necessary to use FPGA of myrio or it can work with programming level RT?

Use of the FPGA depends only on your application.

If your application requires no development of FPGA, you can have only one part RT and create an autonomous system. To create a stand-alone application, you create application RT for your share RT of the software, to run as a startup and deploy on your hardware.

Of course your RT code should not have dependencies on the host, that is, network flow, variable network shared, party etc. Or at least, you must handle errors, related to lost communication.
