• Laptop cursor jumps back to the top whenever you press SPACEBAR

  Where I work, we have 6 laptops Toshiba Tecra, a few M3 & some M5.  We have one (an M3) as the cursor jumps at the top of the screen whenever the space bar is pressed, in any program (other non-Microsoft), & no matter how lightly or hard the space bar is pressed.  The machine has been completely recreated several times without any change.  The same image is on all our office & laptops.

• When scrolling or paging down, guard cursor jumping back to the top (occurs in all programs including email, words, etc.).

  While I'm working in an application program, it seems that certain keystroke (s) (shortcut keys I'm not aware and not intention to use?) causes my cursor jump to the top of the page and getting stuck there. When I scroll or page down to go to the point where I want my cursor to continue working and entering text or data, it doesn't let me do; it jumps to the top of the page.  Simualtaneously, if I try to solve the problem by making CTRL + G to go to a page says, the view goes to very large print (more than 100%) as soon as I hit him CTRL and that's all that happens.   It often happens in Word and when it happens there, it does also in my e-mail and Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer software.  I havde printed the list of keyboard shortcuts to see if I can detect what I do when typing that can cause, but so far I have not been able to know what could be.  I don't see any description of this type of behavior associated with any shortcut key; and I don't know what keys are causing it (by time, it starts to occurring at that I don't know what type, I used maybe inadvertently).  Someone on my team to support the University suggested that maybe it's my mouse; I changed my mouse and it's the same thing.  The only thing is that I've not seen what pops up is when I use the ball of keyboard to navigate (not the mouse); Since I ususally only dispenses with the mouse by send away from home, I'm not even sure that it won't happen that way either.  M HERE to loss. It is very annoying since I have to close the file, I'm trying to stop the behavior. and sometimes it will not even do this, I have to open a session

• Satellite P300 - cursor jumps back

  Hello

  I have a Satallite P300 - 19 p and when I type after some works the cursur jumps to a place randomly in the text that I write. Is very annoying because I have to look at the screen all the time, I tried to type very slowly to see if I tap on a button by accident, but then it never happens.

  If anyone knows if it is a fault, all other computers that I use if I hit a wrong key, I just get a bad character not the cursor jump to a point prior to writing

  I think you touch the keyboard as you type and so the cursor jumps to another post.

  Therefore, you must disable the tapping function in the touchpad driver. After that, you can only use the touchpad for moving the mouse but not for the left clicking (tapping) more.
  Check Control Panel > mouse > advanced settings.

  Here, you can disable this feature.

  Some Thunderbird problems can be solved by make a clean reinstall. This means that you remove the Program Files of Thunderbird then reinstall Thunderbird. Please follow these steps:

  1. Download the latest version of Thunderbird from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/ and save the file to install it on your computer.
  2. Once the download is complete, close all windows in Thunderbird (click on Exit/Quit the menu button on the right).
     • Windows:
       • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\
       • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Thunderbird\
     • Mac: Remove Thunderbird in the Applications folder.
     • Linux: If you installed Thunderbird with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Thunderbird on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package of the Thunderbird Download Page, simply remove the thunderbird folder in your home directory.
  3. Now, go ahead and reinstall Thunderbird:
     1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
     2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Thunderbird after you click the Finish button.

  WARNING: Uninstaller or the use of Thunderbird and not run a third remover as part of this process, because who could permanently delete your Thunderbird data, including but not limited to, extensions, email, personal settings and the saved passwords. These can be recovered, unless they have been backed up on an external device!

  To better understand the question I would like to answer a few questions.

  (a) is the problem only with Windows Mail or cursor problem in Microsoft Word or Notepad as well?

    Method 1:

  Try to put the computer in a clean boot state to see if third-party applications are causing the problem.

  To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista, follow these steps.

  1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

  2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

  3. under Selective startup, clear the Load Startup items check box.

  4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

  5. click on OK.

  6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

  7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

  As you said that the problem started after the update you can also try a system restore to see if fixing the problem. Follow the steps below to do a system restore.

• Why keep the Archivelogs after Archivelog backups?

  Greetings. I'm a long time SQL Server DBA operating on the dark side.

  So we are taking (AL) Archivelog backups every 30 minutes. However, it seems that it is not "empty" the former AL the way in which SQL Server would be "empty" when it backs up the transaction log. They still exist, consume space of course.

  The excerpt below shows me that it is not necessary for the latter to retain once they are saved. Of course this would free up space, but I guess there is a good reason not to want to delete them as well? My belief is that a restoration can occur faster with them still existing locally, but hoped someone could confirm / deny here? If this isn't the case, otherwise why would we want to keep them once they are saved?

  No, not really. you do not raise a point that if you had to do a restore/recovery operation, it would be faster if they are already there, but this should be a rare operation?

  You may want to delete all saved archivelog 2 times (or 3 or 4, etc.) where your backup is bad - this way you ensure that you have several copies autour.

• Why keep the view that I would not 'probably' remove old updates?

  I run XP Home SP2.  I have 1 million of updates for this and other programs using disk space.  Whenever I ask if I can delete the 'old', the answer is probably 'no '.  I want to know why not?    And I want the answer to be more definitive that "well, the new updates a day can depend on the 'old' to run '.  Isn't that or Don't they?  Thanks for the definitive answers

• Why keep the desktop version appear on my phone?

  Hello!  I searched the answers here, but what I found is a lot of questions about this and no solutions. Anyway...

  On my site of Muse, the desktop version is very good and looks good on the office. On the phone, however, my mobile site will come first, which is good, but when I use the menu to navigate to the different pages permanently, he returns to the desktop version. I have tested on several phones now. Sometimes to empty the memory cache will make me return to the version of the phone, sometimes not.

  Make sure the menu links are properly used (phone version).

  If any link is to the content then it would open the desktop version of office, in order to check for content and links used on the page, they should bind content not phone desktop content.

• PowerShot sx720 hs - when I zoomed in, why at the top of the screen can range up to 160 X, not just 40 X?

  Having just bought this camera, partly because of its ability to zoom, I was surprised to see the range shown on the screen, don't stop at 40 X, but continue to 160 X I just took pictures of trees in the distance at 40 X, 80 X and 160 X, and they seemed to be equally clear. This isn't, right? What understanding I'm missing? Also, is there a consensus about the disorder of the image that the device exceeds 30 X to 40 X?

  Because, in my essay, I seemed to have the good resolution of images up to the limit of my optical zoom 40K, I'll let the digital zoom on and see how much I get out of use.
