  You try to open a document to a newer version?

  If so, you should get a downsaved version instead. Even if it was saved with PDF compatibility you'd lose probably important editability.

  In view of the breach of huge customer info, I decided to connect to the CC page instead and review my payment information there.

  When I tried to update, I received an error message saying that something was wrong on the side of Adobe.

  Can someone advise please? It becomes frustrating.

Then I talked to Mac and they told me to ask if adobe has a compatible version for OS Sierra... went back to adobe they gave me icon apple steps - system preferences - security and privacy - blocking - click on download from anywhere - unlock - it did not work and they said the problem is that I use a beta version of the software (Sierra) that's why the error shows and that the solution should have said fixed operating system has not been started and is not tried and tested...   Hi, I think I might have a solution, I'm busy now installing CS5 premium on a new installation of sierra, but will let you know if there are problems! I had the same problems as Britz00, very frustrating!

  After I had run the patch to allow 3rd party applications will be installed, (in a terminal such as suggested by K Perkins) instead of a double click on the installer in the terminal I dragged the exec 'install '. by opening a Terminal window and which seemed to work? (open the "Adobe CS5 Design premium Installer", then right click on the 'install' folder and click on "view the contents of the package in the menu drop-down down that pop-up, then double-click the"content"folder, then double-click the"MacOS"folder.") The exec 'Install '. file is the one that I dragged by opening a Terminal window) hope it makes sense. (Sorry, I'm terribly inept to explain technical things in computer)

  I upgraded to CS5 Design premium creative suite design standard CS6 (which adobe online store said told me that I could for a such upgrade) and by typing my series CS6 and then to qualify the update the CS5 series he told me that he was NOT a product of qualiying.

  I called Support and they told me to click on the yellow field and give me the number. I got a code to type and it worked until about 30 days later... so Acrobat X Pro and ceased to distill from.

  I ran the Acrobat cleaner and did a reinstall of only Acrobat X Pro... He started... but prompted me to inter my serial number... I did, but then I came up with this message:

  Other programs cs6 was still installed, only acrobat X pro has been removed. And guess what... Also, I got the message that the series has been revoked on Indesign, illustratoer, photoshop, and bridge.

  So here I am... once again.

  Please hurry.

  I called support and they fixed with a new serial number.

  I upgraded to AdobePro in 2008 and still use the product without problem - until recently.  Because of my hard drive crash, I need to reinstall the application, but my serial code was denied.  After almost 2 hours on the cat, I finally learned the reason for the support rep - apparently some 'record of account"on its end shows I'm 'back' the product, although I would have no reason to do so.   I asked for more details - how 'return' has been authorized, when, what was the reason?  How is it I always have used all this time?  This product is listed as one of my products registered in my Adobe account.  It makes no sense for my code to be disabled!   I understand that Adobe has decided to go cloud with Acrobat and refuse to support the older versions, but I should not refuse ACCESS to the FACILITY for the program I bought years ago.   Why bother to register my products if that's the case?

  I am trying to install Acrobat 9 - standard as one of my products registered, to see if the loading which firstly allow me to load the Pro upgrade.   A few weeks ago malicious adware attacked all browsers in my computer and Adobe Flash Player so I uninstalled, downloaded the new antivirus (Avast Premium), antimalware (Malwarebytes) programs, adware cleaner, HitmanPro and down them several days; they cannot detect something wrong now. I think that the computer is clean, but it is impossible to reinstall Adobe Flash Player, even on the official site of Adobe (I have no problems with Adobe reader). Whenever I click the icon, instead of the "Run" button opens the security warning: "this editor is blocked from running on your computer software. And as long as I have the downloads icon or in the sandbox, Avast warns me that there are files that cannot be scanned. The status of these files in the chest, said: "error: Archive is password protected." (42056). This means that I still have bugs hidden in the computer? Are there opportunities to recover the Flash Player or I'll have to miss a lot of interesting videos at the time where I have to buy a new computer?

  Fortunately, I found the answer to my problem, thanks to Bruno_Dude and now I have installed AFP. Somehow Adobe Systems Incorporated has been listed as untrusted Editor. Here is the link with the means to remove it from the list.
