Why my battery isn't down on my MacBook Pro retina so fast?

Hey, I went to the Apple Store on the fact that my computer's battery does not last long. I have 2 years and more than all the battery health has declined by 10 percent. I formatted the computer and I am aware that Chrome consumes lots of RAM and battery. I talk when I do light work which lasts only battery 4 hours even if I did a new install of Mac OS X. Any suggestions? Thank you!

You just bought a macbook pro retina. Why the resolution of the camera is terrible? Is there a solution?

The facetime camera is only 720 p, which is 0.92 megapixel. Same 1080 p is only 2.07mp.

It's really designed only for video calls, if you really want to make HiRes video on the internet.

  • Go to bed before exhausted battery MacBook Pro retina (mid-2012)

I hope that someone in the community can help with this question.

I have a MacBook Pro (mid-2012) with a battery 3.2 old Yes and less than 300 cycles. I think the battery is depleting faster (which is natural after 3.2 years) but benchmarking between percentage left and the unit goes into mode 'sleep' is meaningless. For example, tonight the battery came into sleep mode with 16% left on the screen - sound almost if the MacBook thought it was exhausted.  I have heard do NOT need calibration for that MacBook Pro, but it feels like it does.  Which leaves me feeling very concerned on what continues.

    Things I've tried so far:

    1. full reset SMC and General reboots.

    2. a full discharge and recharge (attempted calibration despite says that's not necessary).

3 using the activity monitor to see if something is sucking energy unduly.  (Which there isn't, and everything seems normal).

4 using the battery health app to look at the State of the battery - said its 87% in good health and no calls for service or replacement.  ('Normal' status).

Anything related or apparently wrong - but certainly go faster down and switch mode 'sleep' around 16 to 19%.

All the words of wisdom of the community?

    Thanks in advance.

    Brad.

A full release just the risk damage to your battery. Are you sure that the Mac is not just go to sleep as it was designed to do? Try to reset your default energy-saving preferences. If that does not resolve the problem, maybe it's a problem with the operating system, in which case you should try to reinstall OS X by pressing down the command key and the R key as soon as you see the Apple logo at the start of your computer to the top and then clicking "reinstall Mac OS X" and following the on-screen instructions.

I hope you find this information useful.

    Best regards

  • How can I find my battery cycles? I have a MacBook Pro under windows in Bootcamp.

I have a MacBook Pro running Windows 7 in Bootcamp. My battery indicator says I should replace my battery. How I 1) know how many cycles my current battery on it and 2) know what battery I should seek to replace?

I found the system hardware, but it only shows the Windows information, which included no battery cycles.

Go back to the side Mac and look in the system (accessible via the about this Mac) report on the Apple menu

I'm running OS X 10.11.4 on my mid-2009, 2.26 GHz Core 2 Duo 13 - inch MacBook Pro, updated updated to 8 GB of RAM. For these last days, a process called 'VTEncoderXPCService' has been constantly running like crazy on my Mac, using about 150% CPU. This slows down my Mac to a crawl, especially Safari, where I usually end up with beach balls every 20 to 40 seconds. I need help [figure out what is the cause, as my Mac is basically unusable because of the drop in performance.

This is a background process that converts the video in a photo or iMovie library. If an iOS device is connected, please disconnect. In the iCloud system preferences pane, uncheck that marked Photos. The activity should stop.

  • That's why my macbook pro battery drains much more quickly than in the past?

The life of the battery of my (end 2013) 13 "MacBook Pro (OS 10.10.5) decreased a lot, very quickly, in the past months. There are 390/100 amount remaining fresh and the State of the battery is 'normal '. I do not leave the appliance plugged, "over" charge for long periods of time. I drained the battery fully before recharging for a full charge. Although wifi is usually left on; Bluetooth is usually disabled. I am running the same programs I ran for years.

Meanwhile, the battery for this machine seems to have declined precipitously.

I hope that others can offer advice on how to evaluate what is happening and what (if any) can do to improve the life of the battery.

I drained the battery fully before recharging for a full charge

This isn't a recommended service action. It can damage the battery if done repeatedly. I charge when mine gets below 20%.

You can't damage the battery by leaving the charger plugged in for long periods. There is overload protection very intelligent integrated in the battery and power on the computer systems.

† - the battery life is time, usually years, before the batery fails and must be replaced; battery life is how many hours the pathophysiological dough power the computer before requiring a recharge.

  • End 2011 13 "MacBook Pro battery capacity

I noticed the battery on my end 2011 13 "MacBook Pro does not seem to hold charge for a long time, I can take the machine off and he will die in about 90 minutes of light use from 100 to less than 10%

I tried a full cycle of discharge and recharge and checked the number of cycle in the details of the system (screenshot below):

Any ideas why the battery loses capacity so quickly? I'm not under all the apps that are starved for power and it drains quite quickly sleep when disconnected from the power supply.

It is certainly far maximum cycles count > https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201585

  • For a 15 "old MacBook Pro battery

I just need a new battery for my old 15-inch MacBook Pro. The battery is model # 10.8V 60Wh A1175.  The Apple store told me to go to their website to buy a. Why is it so difficult to navigate the Apple site?  It took me 30 minutes to be able to find a way to ask this one question.  Somehow, I thought that I could go to their website, find a search box and type in the battery, I need.   HA! HA!  Silly me!

If I were looking for a battery like that, I would check the well known as Other World Computing hardware vendors.

(I hae no financial interest in this company.)  I've made purchases with them, even if it has been there quite some time).

  • Retina of MacBook Pro battery SUPER fast, please help?

I have a MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, beginning 2013) and recently the fan was spinning VERY fast and I did reset smc, cleared up a bit on my laptop and now its good but the battery has fallen like a madman. It was 50% in the evening and I put standby, but I wake up and its 0%. In the sound class always 98-40. Help, please?

Why not leave it plugged all night and plug during breakfast or during the course, it is not necessary?

Load circuits will prevent price hard.  My MBP stays connected when you do not move, but used up to 30% of battery once a month if not more often.
