Why my computer won't open a program I downloaded?

I downloaded Synfig on internet, it did not open because I had value preferences from the apple app store, so I changed it from anywhere and still not opening, the button that says open anyway does not work either. Please notify.

Of course, you have downloaded Synfig Studio for Mac? See: Synfig Studio for OS X (development Version). And you are sure that it is compatible with Yosemite?

  • My computer will not open certain programs, and the system does not.

I have really no idea what's wrong with my computer, so I'll just list the symptoms.

The first and foremost problem is that my computer won't open some programs.  First thing I noticed when I tried to open iTunes and it did not open, no matter how many times I tried.  I went to restart my computer, and that opens up a host of new questions.

My antivirus - Windows Live OneCare - software does not open.  I tried to turn on Windows Defender for malware, but it crashes when I try to do.  Not only does iTunes opens, but neither a few other programs I have on my computer--mainly those who could help me to solve this problem, such as the restoration of the system.  When I try to uninstall a program - all - nothing happens and he refuses to let me try to uninstall anything else, insisting something is already uninstall.  And my computer can't detect my printer.

Which leads to my other problem: I have two computers connected to a network via an Ethernet cable.  The other computer is fine and can access the Internet fine, but when he sends something to the printer, nothing happens on the end of the printer.  It is a red 'X' the symbol of my network on my computer in the lower right corner (next to), so I guess this confirms my concerns about the network.  I don't understand what exactly is the problem, just that the other computer cannot print (it is not connected directly to the printer, mine is).

Because Windows Live OneCare and Windows Defender does not work, I can not scan to see if it is the result of spyware or malware.  And because whenever I click on the system restore, nothing happens, I can't restore the computers to something else.  I'm completely stuck.  More critical functions simply do not work.

I wanted to download Facebook messenger for my office, but it won't work. (don't ask why I want it, I know it's what you thinkthe small bar at the bottom of my screen pops up and had only save and cancel optional.) If I hit, it won't download because it can not open the backup file. If I hit Cancel and then it freezes just straight up. What happened to the "Run" option and why it wont download? It's the same thing the other day, trying to download my songs on Amazon. My computer doesn't have that program to open an .amz file. Once I found a link to let me download Amazon downloader all of this came together and worked for me. It's almost the same thing. Download instructions say to click "run" when it happens, but it's not even an option for me. Then, as I said earlier, if I come out or cancel everything freezes and I can't do the little box go away if I close Internet Explore completely to dismiss as nothing shows in my downloads folder... I am running Windows XP SP3 with RAM sticks of 256 MB (2) on an old eMachines T5026 desk top.  I added strips of RAM 1.0 GB (2) for the two slots open and computer would not start.  I tried with stick (1) 1 G and (2) 1 sticks and it still won't start.  I tried to mix and match the 256 with 1 G in each combimation, but it does not start.  Won't start with one or two sticks of 256.  Best Buy had PC3200 DDR RAM but the spec above States use PC2700.  Geek Squad says that PC3200 is OK instead of PC2700.  Is this the problem or I had to do something besides just insert new RAM?   Suggestions welcome.  Thank you.

Thank you for confirming that. I still think that the above tips are relevant:

Because what you bought doesn't work, my suggestion is to stay within the plug (PC2700), like this:

original title: the feature of the taskbar

Why a very useful feature has been removed?  Auto-hide is very probably the most annoying feature ever;  I prefer to be able to allow windows to open the taskbar and if I need press the Windows keyboard direct, we have been able to do for almost 10 years.

It's like being able to drag the elements around the area of all programs on the start menu.  You can do it, but they just re - get an alphabetical sort themselves even if you put ' Menu all programs sort by name "OFF - why he lost us this feature and what is the point preferably to be here at all if it's going to sort without worrying?

  • Computer won't open the Task Manager, paint, HOWEVER I would like to click Restart on the start menu.

This problem started a month ago. my computer stopped to let me restart my system via the start menu, so I had to rely on a hard reboot which I don't do often. just recently I realized it won't let me open the photos in paint and every time that I right click on the taskbar and select taskmanager it does nothing. When I right click on computer > properties it just indicates that the Page failed to load. When I download pictures off google it does not show a bar at the bottom of the Save as window to change the name of the picture or even see what it is.

Try to perform a restore of the system before you start, facing this problem.

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: rstrui.exe

    Press enter

Follow the instructions on the screen.

If the system restore is also blocked, you can try to start safe mode and it started from there.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

If you are unable to load Safe Mode, I suggest that you scan your computer for malicious code.

    Download ESET Removal tool

Burn it to a CD or create a USB bootable thumb with her:

    http://www.eset.com/us/download/utilities/

ESET are Live is a live Linux distribution which can scan malware and clean infected files. It runs from a CD/DVD or a USB device, regardless of the host operating system, but has a direct access to the system disks and files. This will eliminate the threats which, under normal conditions, can be impossible to remove.

Download and create your ESET are Live drive

You can also try to do a system restore before you start experiencing this problem:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/HT/system-restore-Windows-7.htm

There are some that will hide your files/folders so that you don't normally see them. I strongly suggest to run a scan on your computer with your antivirus/antimalware software. If you need to, you can also use the Microsoft Safety Scanner, it's free:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Also, if your files are hidden, check out the following article on how to display the:
