  I solved the problem!  I uninstalled two programs (the current ver.11 and one old worm 5, which I think caused problems), went to the registry and deleted all records pertaining to the programs adobe and adobe has decided to re - install the latest version (ver.11) for a clean install.  It seams to go around.  Thank you for your concern.  Either by the way, it's Internet Explorer, Windows XP and versions of Adobe were 11 and 5.

  Problem: An old page from 21 April kept showing instead of a current update page.  It would not update of the current page.  My solution fixed it.

• Race on the police does not have crisp display in PDF digital format

  I have a situation where I have to use STROKE to "BOLD" characters rather than use a bold font. Whenever I use the race on a font, in the digital PDF, there is white space between the character and the police (see below). It prints fine, but it's really ugly and unacceptable for a digital PDF. I tried changing the settings in Acrobat and also tried all the options of the running app, but nothing moves not white space. I understand that InDesign uses tiny lines to make a run, so it cannot be rounded the corners of the police properly (fonts is 8 PT if a bit small, but still more large fonts seam to have the question too)? Is there a way to change that or a work around? Using InDesign 5.5 and Windows 7.

  Working on a Mac OSX 10.11.6 (15G 31) by using InDesign 11.4.0.90

  I made a preflight profile to detect inaccessible URL links using the preflight Panel. I typed in a URL that generates a "server not found" error in any browser internet and used 'new hyperlink from URL' to create a hyperlink in InDesign. In the Panel links of Adobe InDesign, the hyperlinks panel shows as red link... well. Why then does InDesign preflight Panel not report this as an error?

  I think that the "Links of URL Inaccessible" option has been introduced in InDesign CS5, back in 2010.

  At that time, it was a feature called 'Place of Buzzword... '. ' and the 'inaccessible links URL' option to check if a linked Word document was inaccessible and used to report this error (if the option is checked).

  I don't think she ever worked / subject links Web site even in this case.

  Go in Edition > Preferences > Security (enhanced)

  Uncheck the Enable Protected Mode option

  Click OK and restart.

  While the implementation of the links, if you choose to open the file in a new window then you will not experience this issue, then you can simply switch to the file view and previous bookmark will remain as it is.
