  I'm not sure from your post what version of Vista you are using or if you use the Viewer for Powerpoint as opposed to full Powerpoint (2003 or 2007?), but I can try to give you help to fix.

  For. Files PPS (Microsoft PowerPoint slide show)

  • Click Start, type regedit.exe and press ENTER
  • Navigate to the following branch:

  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PowerPointViewer.slideshow.11\shell\Show

  • Click view , and then click Rename
  • Type the word Open so that the show is replaced with the Open command
  • If you have the PowerPoint 2007 Viewer is installed, repeat the steps above in this key, thus:

  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PowerPointViewer.slideshow.12\shell\Show

  • After having changed from Show to Open, close the Registry Editor window.

• How to enable automatic session restore after a crash

  I'm trying to enable automatic session restore after a crash. I put browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash to true, but it is false. Is there is a dependency on another parameter that is the cause of return? Or other means to enable automatic crash recovery?

  The option 'When Firefox starts' is set to ' show my windows and tabs from last time '. I'm not under any session management extensions.

  I am so angry with my computer because I paid 1.5 k for a computer that is not able to make the task easier for a modern computer. Even a €50 computer has embedded software that can handle a resume from sleep without having to restart the entire software... Imagine if you had to do it on your iPhone, you will eventually get a refund within a week or less because it is not normal in 2015 to have this kind of problem. I hope that I have no problem with safari on my 6s and I don't plan to spend my browser because Safari is part of the Apple ecosystem and have the perfect sync and battery management.

  So I need to get this fixed a problem and I really need your help because a lot of people had this problem on the internet, but NEVER seen someone who explained how it happened is the correction of a problem. My Mac running the latest version of the software which is 11.2 starting today.

  I think you're looking in the root folder not your home folder.   Tilde ~ in front of the first slash indicates the folder.

  Try this...

  Quit Safari.

  Open a Finder window. In the Finder menu bar, click go > go to folder

  Type or copy paste the following text:

  ~/Library/preferences/com. Apple.Safari.plist

  Click OK, and then move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the trash.

  Restart Safari to test.

  Try to reset the settings of Safari:

  1. open Safari

  2. click on the Safari menu at the top (to the right of the Apple logo)

  3. Select the Preferences/Privacy tab

  4. click on remove all data from the Web site
