Why should I set a global_name = * "TRUE."

If I create public database link must be TRUE, what's the logic here?

SQL > show parameter global_name;

VALUE OF TYPE NAME
global_names boolean FALSE

SQL > create public database link mydba connect to scott identified by Tiger using "ORCL".

Database link created.

SQL > select * from emp@mydba

Select count (*) in the emp@mydba;

COUNT (*)
14

Even I put global_name = 'FALSE', I can create public database link. then
Why should I set a global_name = * "TRUE."

To access remote DB (security context) which one is recommended?

Have you looked at the diagram in the last link I provided?

It shows an environment with MANY databases.

In that environment, you would use global_name true so the link name must be the name global. Make sure that you connect to the basis of correct data because the global names MUST BE unique.

If your environment has only one or a few DBs with simple names that are in conflict, you can use FALSE if you want to.

    If your new motherboard came as a replacement for Acer warranty, then they need to help you fix the problem of activation.

    If you bought the motherboard yourself out of warranty Acer, then, you are responsible for your operating system (OS).

    If the operating system is installed on the computer, you may be able to use the key on the back of the computer (25 characters in 5 sets of 5) case to activate the product but you have to use telephone activation.  If this does not work, you will need to purchase a full retail version of an OS that works on your new computer as products OEM are linked to the original motherboard which has been installed by the manufacturer and cannot be changed with a like type motherboard.

  • Should I set up my Dell 3008 in Adobe RGB monitor mode when calibrating it with i1 Display?

    Hello

    Should I set up my Dell 3008 in Adobe RGB monitor mode when calibrating it with i1 Display?

    Thank you

    Thomas

    It depends entirely on what application you use to view the file. That's the key. Without - a complete remapping in the monitor profile - color management is displayed correctly. Yet once, IE is useless and you can just forget about it. Use Firefox with color management mode 1.

    With a standard range screen you out without color succeed because the monitor is pretty close to sRGB it will be roughly right, as long as the file has number of sRGB. That's why sRGB became the standard of the internet.

    But if you have a string of color management complete the source profile may be what you want and the monitor can be standard or wide or whatever it is between the two and it will display properly without worrying. That's the whole point of the color management - a color space (the file) be remapped in the other (the monitor).

  • Need a way to test how a property should be set.

    When I set the enabled property of a layer, the format is "myLayer.enabled = false;

    However, when I set a property as "acceptsShadows", the format is "myLayer.acceptsShadows.setValue (false);"

    I was wondering why these properties cannot be defined in the same way and (B) would like to know if there is a way I can test whether a property should be set to one way or the other? Is there some sort of way to know what properties are defined how?

    The context for this is that I have a general function that takes a property and a value then sets for a layer to give or a set of layers. So if I send this feature, the 'enabled' and 'false' property, it would set the layers property enabled to false, and if I send 'acceptsShadows' and 'false' set the acceptShadows property to false layers, but this becomes a problem if the properties must be defined in different ways, at least I have start to add if statements for the properties that must be set which way.

    Thanks for any help!

    The distinction is that the attributes of an object can be defined with the '=' operator. Properties are defined with setValue(), setValueAtTime and setValueAtKey(). Basically, if she will accept keyframes, you must use setValue(), etc..

    I have not tested, but you can try something like this:

    function setProp (theProp, Val) {}

    If (theProp instanceof property & theProp.canVaryOverTime) {}

    theProp.setValue (theVal);

    } else {}

    theProp = Val;

    }

    }

    var myProp = myLayer.property ("Opacity");

    var myVal = 50;

    setProp (myProp, myVal);

    If you have used any other processor of professional quality (for example, Microsoft Word), and then just go ahead and use the current culture of free (financially) applications on devices you mention. It will not take too long before you understand point Apple of giving them. No application in the world can open documents Pages but the most recent version.

    Free will begin to erode when Pages for Mac forget how to open a perfectly fine document that you saved an hour or two ago. Or you realize you have to press the SHIFT key every time you want a first word in a sentence. Or you can not bind the text boxes to the text layout advanced stream. Or you can't do data merge / e-mail. Table of contents page links or comments will not export to PDF.

    Pages is not a clone of Word, and you'll quickly realize that Pages input/export deal with the translation. Open a blank document. Type the letter "A". Export to Word .docx. It will be 494KO in size. Do the same thing in LibreOffice or MS Word and it will be 8 KB.
