Why Thunderbird remember my settings of the printer?

I use a HP1050 inkjet printer. Normally I like to print using only black ink cartridge. Whenever you want to print an email, I need to select to use advanced printing black only. It takes seven mouse clicks. The next time I feel, it is default to color printing.

Is it possible to load up Thunderbird to use black ink by default, unless I say otherwise?

Go into devices and printers on your Start menu.
Select the printer and right click
Set the printer preferences and default properties

By default Firefox will be "reduced to adjust." You who can disable in layout in a regular window or in print preview, but it's hard to call Preview in the window pop up in print, because the menu bar and the toolbar are removed. If it is a common problem, you can use a different add-on (!) which puts the print preview before printing and Page Setup on the shortcut menu.

  • HP6500a more (e710) how to change settings on the printer itself to scanning? Or the new shortened scan do?

I want to scan a document with 600 dpi to the pdf - A format and send it to the computer. It is not a shortcut with this option in the printer menu. How can I change the settings of the printer itself?

I know it's possible to select this option in the HP on the PC Solution Center, but then I have to walk between PC and printer for each new document. The changes I made in the solutioncenter do not affect the scansettings on the related printer.

I have read that it was possible to ad or change shortcuts on the old version of this printer (HP6500).

I've found a workaround. When you change the settings of the daily analysis in the HP Solution Center and start parsing a time from the PC, these parameters are passed to the printer.

The following analysis started with the icon daily analysis on the touch screen of the printer is then performed with the new settings.

  • OfficeJet 6700: change the default settings of the printer

I want to change 'Gray levels' to 'Off' to 'Black ink only' and 'Output quality' to 'Normal' to 'project '. I went to the Panel of control permanently change my default settings of the printer, but whenever I try to print, the parameters began to 'Off' and 'Normal '.

    Hey @arican55,

I see you have some problems with the definition of default values on your PC of Windows 10 when printing to your Officejet 6700 Premium e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

    To clear all default settings:

    1. If the printer is connected via USB cable to your PC, delete.
    2. In your search type in printers bar and open devices and printers.
    3. Right-click on any icon of your printer listed.
    4. Click on remove the instrument.
    5. Repeat for all other icons of your printer listed.
    6. If you removed the USB cable, connect. If this is not the case, click on add printer and follow the prompts to add a print to your printer queue.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you can set the default values, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • Windows Vista x 86, and Windows 7, losing by default settings of the printer after install updates day or end of remote session.

We have been troubleshooting this issue for a while and we didn't have a patch even if it's a known issue.  When a workstation is set up as a network printer, even if the default settings of Windows (xps document writer) has been removed, the workstation will lose the default settings of the printer after that remote desktop sessions or windows updates have been installed.

We tried MS FixIT and a registry mod that changes the order of the printers without success.

We are hoping that there is a fix available before finalize us our Windows 7 image for deployment.

In our reg mod, we have changed the position of the device at the same time Ne00 and Ne01 without having an effect on the loss of the default printer.  The mod set the default printer, but the settings do not stick.

  • Hello world! I try to print my indesign booklet in pdf format, however, is greyed out in the SETTINGS of the PRINTER to set the CUSTOM PAGES.

Hi everyone! I try to print my indesign booklet in pdf format, however, I have the option to in the SETTINGS of the PRINTER to set the CUSTOM PAGES is grayed out. I already tried to use the Acrobat 9 PPD here: https://forums.adobe.com/message/5819369#5819369, but still it does not work. I chose the PostScript file and in the next menu, the new preset, I downloaded does not work. When I export to PDF, all my bleed, colour, cultures etc information is lost. What could I do it wrong? Help, please. I use Windows 10, Indesign CC.

As mentioned, you don't do this correctly.

    (1) you ask your printer if it has specific requirements for a PDF file.

    (2) If you do not have this, choose export using Adobe PDF export.

    3) select from the list of presets, PDF/X-1a

    (4) in the subsequent dialog box tick Pages (not Spreads)

    (5) under the tab printers and bleeds, select Use background settings lost document.

Pass the PDF file to the printer, as Bob mentioned that printers will make the taxation.

  • Why Safari remember password settings 'record '?

Safari is able to store logons and passwords for web sites which is very convenient.  Safari can also be set to never save passwords on selected sites.  This option displays as "record" in the preferences of passwords.  This is a security measure handy for sites such as online banking.

Since 10.11 came out, I found that Safari does not have the "never saved" settings, which I do a session to another.  So, whenever I go to my web site of banking services online that Safari asks if I want the saved password and each time, I click "never for this site".  I can see this setting if I display the password dialog box.  But, if I close it, then reopen Safari, these settings are gone.

Does anyone know how I could enable Safari to remember these settings?

    Thank you.

    Hello!

The simple things in life can make life difficult, right? Laughing out loud!

Safari > Preferences, click the password tab There you can uncheck the usernames and passwords. In addition, you add the websites you want and check the Show passwords of Web sites

In other words, you are in control!

    Bravo!

  • Why Firefox hang when I open the printing preferences to print Web pages on my Dell 720 inkjet, after that Windows XP gives me the warning on a protection fault 0 x 0000005?

I can copy text from websites and paste it into MS Word, where I can print fine in B & W or color. I can print from wordpad, too. And I had no problems printing in Internet Explorer. I'm just cannot open the printing preferences window when you use Firefox 7.0.1 and I don't have any add-ons like "Print Print Preview Update" (Acrobat, Silverlight, Office, and a few others). Firefox crashes when I try to open the printing preferences, but I am still able to print, only in the default settings. I use a Dell 720 inkjet connected to an IBM Thinkpad R51e with reinstalled Windows XP Home Edition 2002 SP3, processor Intel Pentium M 1.73 GHz 1.87 GB RAM (added). I installed the printer driver before connecting the printer, and I use Avira antiviral software. This laptop has had problems in the past, but I don't want to give up on this. Please ask if you need more information.

I completely removed Firefox 7.0.1 and replaced by 5.0.1 and now I can open the printing preferences. Follow these instructions:

Create a system first, restore point if you want.

Then, click on start, Control Panel, programs and features. Uninstall Mozilla Firefox.

    Reach...

    If 32 bits...
    C:\Program Files

    If 64-bit...
    C:\Program Files (x 86)

And delete the Mozilla Firefox folder.

This should give you a fresh start. Then install the old version. Just bookmarks can be imported from Internet Explorer or registered before switching versions

    Hello

What are the settings, you cannot select in the menu?

Your screenshot I see you are running low on ink, this can prevent the change of certain parameters such as the print quality.

Click the menu drop-down preview, then select paper Type/quality menu drop-down.

You can then see an option to choose for yoru needs?

  • Cloning of the network settings on the printer - Smart zero 4.4 clients using Xen

I ran into an issue trying to implement for thin client network printers Smart zero with the build Z6X44017 (same question for with prior build 4.3; same question for T520s, T610s, T620s): If the printer is set by the 'user' account in the HP printer Mapping utility, it does not pass by in a published desktop, XenApp as a printer available to all.  When changing the account 'user' to the 'administrator' account, the printer is listed in the printer mapping GUI.  But it is not available on the published desktop.

However, if the printer is CREATED or MODIFIED by the administrator via the GUI HP printer Mapping on the Xen login Panel, then it is displayed as the default printer on the published desktop.

As we seek to implement dozens of devices at once with the same network printer queue defined, it would be useful to set up once and then clone the settings.

Here's what I've done so far:

1 use the GUI HP printer Mapping utility to create (in administrator mode) network print queue and check that it works on the published desktop

    2. use HPDM to capture the root > printer-mapping-Bishop and root > registry values printers from that device using a task of 'files and records.

    3. apply these registry via the job template settings to the target group of devices.

It works very well with regard to obtaining the printer to display in the GUI of the mapping of the printers on the Xen login Panel.  However, the same problem exists: unless I go again in administrator mode in the GUI and the Edit/save the printer, it is not available on the published desktop.

A possible solution might be to run a job to 'validate' the printer settings via a program that could be run from the command line, but I can't find such a program in the file system for the Linux client.  It's just a bug in the configuration of the printer, or a limitation of this printer MUST be configured via the GUI only?

The local HP sales engineer for thin clients was able to track down the command of "committing" the printer settings after running the registry task to copy the settings.  It is run as a task of type Script as a template file and registry.

Here is the command to run in the script:

    /usr/share/Manticore/plugins/printer-mapping-Mgr/wrappers/apply.sh "root/printer-mapping-mgr.

It can be added as the second subtask under the task of file & registry.

    The complete solution is:

1 use the GUI HP printer Mapping utility to create (in administrator mode) network print queue and check that it works on the published desktop

    2. use HPDM to capture the root > printer-mapping-Bishop and root > registry values printers from that device by using a "file and registry" tasks and save it as a template

3 edit the template to add a second sub-task of Script to run the command ' root/printer-mapping-mgr ' /usr/share/manticore/plugins/printer-mapping-mgr/wrappers/apply.sh

    4. run the task of file & registry model against the target devices.  This model will then apply these registry settings for the group target devices and run the script to validate the changes on the target devices.

  • HP Deskjet 5100 taped in grayscale - Management Options not available in the settings of the printer color

    Hello!

My printer is a HP Deskjet 5100 on Mac 10.8.5. He's stuck on shades of gray, when printing. Any program I try to print in I do not get the color management option, even when checking in the advanced options.

On photoshop, he's also stuck in grayscale.

I printed a test page with success in color. But for some reason, no program will be printed in all except grayscale.

I tried to update the drivers, but the audit of Web/driver HP site, everything is up-to-date.

    Other information:

In the printer options, I can't even check my rate of cartridge. I have the following message: Information not available

In ColorSync Utility, under devices, it says the printer Mode is: "grey". When I try to assign a different color profile, do not.

I did a hard reset of the printer.

I removed completely and resynced the printer with the computer again in prefs/Print & analysis system

Any information would be amazing. I checked all the forums that I could find online,

    Hello

Your printer is not compatible with Mountain Lion, that's why using Mac one driver generic PCL which is black & white drivers only:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01856359

Try a 3rd party like HPIJS driver, it seems your printer support and more likely to provide you with a better results than a generic driver.

Don't forget to install one of the 3 required uploads before adding to the queue printing:
