why we use Parent parent adjs total parent in the dimension value in HFM

Hi Experts

Can someone give me please an explanation of why we use Parent, parent adjs and total in the dimension value in HFM?

Hello
As a quick response, when you post a journal to adjustment, this setting affects all parent entities. On the contrary, if you post an adjustment of newspaper [Adjs Parent] then you must also select which parent entities should be affected by the review (while all the other parents will not be affected). So that this discussion is relevant, you must have your entity shared as part of several parents. If you're a single parent so this does not apply. Note that, to make this work, you must have active AllowAdjFromChildren

The media have a meaning that helps you tell the difference between and [parent].
<>means that the value is bound to the entity, the data are shared by all parents of this entity.
[] means that the value is specific to this parent/child 'node' and it is not shared by the other parents during consolidation.
Keep this in mind when you choose to make a newspaper on or [parent adjs].

• Insert using TO_NUMBER does not seem to accept the decimal value

Ben

Hi Ben,

If the destination table have the column as a Number (7.0) and then how you can store a decimal value.

The destination table contains the following:

"PLOT_SIZE_10_30CM" NUMBER(7,0),
"PLOT_SIZE_30_50CM" NUMBER(7,0),
"PLOT_SIZE_50CM"    NUMBER(7,0),

Look at sample scenario-

SQL> CREATE TABLE TEST1(COL NUMBER(7,0));

Table created.

SQL> CREATE TABLE TEST2(COL NUMBER(7,1));

Table created.

SQL> INSERT INTO TEST1(COL) VALUES(1.234);

1 row created.

SQL> INSERT INTO TEST2(COL) VALUES(1.234);

1 row created.

SQL> INSERT INTO TEST1(COL) VALUES(0.234);

1 row created.

SQL> INSERT INTO TEST2(COL) VALUES(0.234);

1 row created.

SQL> SELECT * FROM TEST1;

COL
----------
1
0

SQL> SELECT * FROM TEST2;

COL
----------
1.2
.2

SQL>

If you want to store the decimal value, you must modify the destination table.

• By using < Parent currency > HS. Exp

Hi all

I need to use the value < Parent currency > member as a SOURCE in my calculation.

I set the variable 'HS = strVSource. Value.IsTransCur ()", then use that variable in the right part of my HS. Calculation of exp

The resulting value is 'False' and the building is abandoned. When you use < Parent currency > as the destination, the same configuration works very well.

That's why I can write < parent currency >, but not read the < Parent currency >... .is this true?

Thank you

When you want to as a member of your source value, in which Member you are the target? In other words, if you have a condition value that says

If HS. Value.IsTransCur () = True Then

Hs.Exp 'a #xxx is a #ooo. "

End If

This implicitly means that the source is also the same value member, in that you are. I would add that this does not mean that you are , but rather means that the translation has been made: that the currencies of source and target are different. In other words, if you have a child in EUR and in USD, the HS function parent. Value.IsTransCur () = True will be true not only for the parent currency "USD", but if the user translated the basic EUR GBP entity, the function ALSO returns true. If you are [percentage] for example and want to read you must use the REAL currency of the source such as 'Total GBP' value member, so that should get what you want.

Text messages sent with an email address from a touch ipod duplicated on a second ipod touch using a different email address, but the two ipods are controlled by a parent with the same apple ID and password. This has happened recently. My two girls have used their respective ipods and texting, without their messages of duplication for each of the other ipods for more than a year. Somehow recently, both addresses seem to be synced with them or something, so that both see each and other messages. I've recently updated two ipods, iTunes on my computer--not the cloud and added music for two ipods, but has not changed anything by email email settings or message I know. Help, please!

• solution using parent instruction in CS3

Dear forum!

I found wrong in using the term 'parent' in the ESP script in CS3. wherelse in CS5.5 it works like a honey.

And honestly to say, from the discussion of Mr. Jump_over ...

app.findTextPreferences.findWhat = "text";

app.changeTextPreferences.changeTo = "hardware";

myFound = myFrame.findText ();

var k = myFound.length;

While (k)-

If (myFound [k].parent.constructor.name! == 'Cell')

myFound [k] .changeText ();

It does not work in CS3. (ESTK says If (myFound [k].parent.constructor.name! == 'Cell') and said ""undefined is not an object ";")

I guess that the problem may due to the Parent phrase. In CS5.5, this error has not been met.

Thank you

@Chand...

Hello

I think is not a "parent" but "constructor.name.

I'm not experienced with CS3 but you can try to use this:

while(k--) {
try {
myFound[k].parent.parentStory; // error if parent == "Cel" so omited
myFound[k].changeText();
}
catch (e) { continue }
}

• Is the parent of the layer using ActionManager

Is it possible to get the layer using ActionManager parent? There is a simple way to layer.parent, but this seems to be rather slow, I would appreciate a quick access, but could not get an idea how to do it.

The descriptor of the layer is not a key "parent". There is no key with the stringID of 'layerSection '.

Action of eating a layerSet is really two layers. It has the value "layerSectionStart" in the key 'layerSection '. This is the layer that you can see in the interface of Photoshop. It marks the top of a layerSet. The background to the layerSet is a hidden layer with the value of "layerSectionEnd" in the "layerSection" key You can't do this active hidden layer and some of the key have different values as the "high" corresponding. For example if the visible layerSet in Photoshop is 'Group 1' is the name for the end of the layerSet ".

I think you might find the parent of a layer by using the Action Manager, if you got the index of the layer in question. Then a loop backwards using the index and the search for the key "layerSection" to "layerSectionStart". If you encounter a "layerSectionEnd" before finding the beginning you must keep track of that to be sure, you will find the good 'start '. Something like that on my list of things to do, I just have not had him yet.

Even if a loop by index in action Manager is much faster that the loop in the DOM, I have a not sure that find the parent with the Action of eating would be faster doing the active layer and using the DOM to find the parent.

• Parent of the values of the Member, not of compensation after removal of the child and running aggregations

Dear users of Hyperion, we worked on a realignment of store, we are cut and paste shops from one region to the other. We moved all stores except X 1 parent 2 & X 2, so the total of these parents should now be zero. We have updated the cube and'd calc, however Parents always have $ values in them. Can you please advise how we can fix this because it's doubly adding those numbers in our total entity level. Is there a problem with the type of the members of X 1 and X 2. If it's store or never share then, will not be clearly amounts even after aggregation? It can happen while in the case of stored or never share type of the members of the total still is there on the X 1 and X 2 parents? I'm trying to understand why the values do not go to zero once we got all out of these original parents and stores even after the execution of the aggregation? Please specify. Thank you. Regards, Praveen.

Hey Praveen

Glenn has practically put the nail on the head; We stumbled upon this specific scenario a few months back.

Initially you had children less of X 1 and X 2 so both of these members hold securities aggregated and both of these members have a stored property. You have moved the children in outline, the X 1 and X 2 have the same aggregated values stored against them. You run an agg... because there is no child under X 1 and X 2, there is nothing grouped upward to clear the values of these two members and grouped together so the same values are always stored against them.

Glenn's suggestion for the fix is the same approach that we had to take to resolve it.

• Incorrect aggregation in parent after the deletion of data in any member of the child

Hi Experts,

Currently, we are facing a problem in which data are grouped correctly except parent level in cases where data were already present and has subsequently been removed. For example if '1000' has been seized in a child level member, it is correctly displayed in its parent. But when this figure is deleted, the Member of parent level is not up-to-date. If '1000' is replaced by any other character, it is correctly updated in the parent.

Dimension in which the data are entered members 'Store' property and we use the AGG business rule to accumulate data at the parent level.

The question preceding appeared in every month except February. I checked the parameters of the Member of the dimension "February," and he allied himself with the settings of all other months.

Kindly guide me in this regard as to why this problem and its solution as possible.

Thanks in advance!

• Private class data accessible parent in the child's class?

Hello!

I thought this would be obvious, but my search thing fails to me. I hope that someone would be kind enough to answer my question LVOOP of beginner.

I have a a parent class. This parent class contains a set of private class data. I have Setup all the data accessor methods. I create a child class that has functions that need to access the data stored in its parent category. His legacy is defined, but when I try to separate data from class all that I can't do are what is configured in the cluster of data of the child class.

I watched a video and it seemed that the DataSet magically appeared and is accessible via the methods of children. What Miss me?

Thanks for the input!

-nic

To access the data of the parent in the child's class class, you must use the accessor of reading methods you created for the parent class get the parent class data (you must use the same accessor methods in the methods of the child because all the data of the class is private in LabVIEW). I hope this helps.

• parent of the window

I've done some JavaScript custom in Captivate and helping me understand works Captivate, I've been looking for examples.

To display a cp element that I can call

CP. Show ("the element name");

but I have seen a few examples where they preceded the call with window .parent for example.

Window.parent.CP.Show ("element name");

It's confusing to me - when "cp" would not be in the window, but be in the parent?

That would mean then that

window.addEventListener ("moduleReadyEvent", function (evt) {...

then it must be written

window.parent.addEventListener ("moduleReadyEvent", function (evt) {...

?

You use window.parent in the code inside an iFrame. If you create an animation and insert as a html5 animation, you must talk to Captivate in this iFrame/animation window.parent.

• How to select the members of level 0 for a specific parent under a Dimension

Hi friends

I'm working on a report, I have to select all members of level 0 for a specific parent under a dimension. I can't go to the descendants because I need only level 0.

Please suggest

Thank you

Use @DESCENDANTS and level 0.

After the selection
In the Select Members dialog box, click inside the selected area, and then click Advanced
Use AND to combine the two.

• Parental to a Null value

I ran the new 3D camera Tracker in AE, that works wonders. I selected the track points I wanted to use and created a Null of those object. As I rub the scene, the null object remains perfectly in place within the scene, as it should.

However, I would like to parent a JPG that NULL, so that the JPG also remain in the same relative position as the camera moves, but not take the option "parent". The JPG remains to its fixed position in the image, does not move with the null value.

Does this make any sense?

One thing to check - the layer JPEG there 3D enabled? A 2D layer, akin to a 3D (like a Null value) object will not work correctly.
