WiFi limited

Just bought my daughter an Inspirion 7352 July 31 of this year.  Initially worked great connection to Wi - Fi but since a few weeks access limited and not connected.  She needs it for college online.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A few quick thoughts:

(1) are other devices able to successfully connect to your Wi - Fi connection, and they are working to speed?

(2) what operating system do you use?

(3) recent updates/upgrade of any kind? Successful and did wireless work after the update/upgrade?

(4) if he is on some flavor of Windows, are all updates to Windows (successfully) applied?

(5) this problem continues after you have restarted/rebooted?

(6) a bit of luck running the troubleshooter network (again, assuming that the Windows operating system)?

(7) if she needs to to connect/get some work done now, you have an option to connect with ethernet (wired) as short term well that understand this?

(8) could be the fault of hardware. Obviously under warranty. Direct purchase through Dell? Through retailer local? What kind of warranty service came with it? On the site? You spoke of assistance guaranteed to see if they are any use in troubleshooting?

Hope this helps or at least gets you moving to the solution.

    Hello

These and similar questions of WLan can be resolved for the most part by WLAN driver update.
Have you tried to update the driver WLan?

I'm not very well the laptop supports the card WLan, but this can be verified easily m.
Go to-> network adapters Device Manager
You will find information on the LAN and WLan cards.

If the laptop supports Intel WLan card, trying to get the most recent update of Intel page.

  • A WiFi limited access on Satellite A200

    Hello everyone

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A200-1IW

I installed windows 7 and put to update to service pack 1 about 5/6 months ago. It has worked flawlessly since. However, since last week the wifi connection is underway at limited access connectivity. To overcome this or I have to unplug and plug back or troubleshoot it. It works fine for about 2/3 minutes and gets back to limited connectivity. There is no problem with other devices that use the same connection except for my laptop.

I did some research here in the forums, so according to the suggestions I've changed settings of power saving for wifi, updated my driver (intel wireless wifi link 4965AGN) network for the last one on the site to intel. Updated my bios to 2.6 and the problem persists.
This problem is driving me crazy.

    Someone please help

    Hello

I had the same problem. It was related to my router.
I have no explanation for this, but after I reset the router, the problem disappeared.
It would be interesting to know if it would work for you too.

More I recommend you test the WiFi connection using open wireless network.
I mean that you can disable encryption and all the other security settings for testing purposes

    Thank you for your support.

    Hi there @extremaratio,

I tried to find out if there was any pilot is also available for Windows 10 and your laptop. Unfortunately, there is no driver Windows 10 is available now for your laptop HP G62-450SL.

At this point, there are two options for you I might suggest:

    • If the Wifi works in Windows 7, you can go back to Windows 7, do all your updates and then try Windows 10.
    • If the Wifi works without a problem in Windows 7, you can return to Windows 7 at the moment until the driver is available.
    • Or you can stay with Windows 10 and wait until the driver is available. For now, I can't give you a timetable regarding when the drivers will be available.

If you wish, you can use the following link to create yourself a file number and contact us:

  • BlackBerry Z10 WIFI limited notifications

I have a Z10 with ATT 1.0.2074 running. The problem I describe happened before the last OS update.

Home - when my z10 connects to my wifi - it shows connected, but I get a notification that the wifi is limited and I should connect another source. The wifi icon doesn't show in the bar at the top but ATT LTE, the BB logo and the bars are there.

I have tried a reboot Z10, restarted the router - changed batteries - have run out of options.

I run a web server from my home, so the router works fine and if I have a wireless connection to my laptop or tablet, fine. I do not understand the notification "limited." The full message says "wifi access is limited. Some websites are not accessible... etc >

Edit: it doesn't with my wifi to work.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

    VIC

I guess if you look at the IP address on your Blackberry when on your WiFi at home, you will see something like:

169.X.X.X, which means that it does not get assigned an IP address from your router.  A simple solution would be to assign a static IP address in the WiFi settings on your Blackberry to your home network.

The other reported similar problems with some routers.

    Hi Dimma,

What is the brand and model of your computer?

This could be caused due to various reasons.

-Due to the wireless router settings.

    -Due to the IP address.

    Follow the following troubleshooting methods:

Method 1: I suggest you to reset the wireless router and check if this solves the problem manually.

Consult the router's manual to know how to manually reset the router.

Method 2: Reset TCP/IP and check if this solves the problem.

    Follow these steps:

    a. press the Windows key (start screen will popup), type cmd on the right click of the screen prompt, select run as administrator.

    b. at the command prompt, copy and paste (or type) that follows the command, and then press ENTER:
    netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

    c. Note: If you do not specify a path of the directory for the log file, use the following command:
    netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

    d. restart the computer.

Method 3: If you use WEP encryption change to WPA or WPA 2.

Hope this helps and let us know if you need help. We will be happy to help you.

    Hello

What is the brand and model of the laptop?

There could be a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection card.

Kindly, follow these steps and check if that helps.
    Method 1:

If you get an error 'problem with my wifi adapter', please uninstall and reinstall the wireless card driver. Check with your computer manufacturer or the manufacturer of your wireless (Atheros) adapter and make sure you have the latest driver available for the card.

    Follow these steps:
First, download the latest driver for network card wireless from the manufacturer's Web site.
    a. to uninstall the card, then press X and Windows on the screen. Click on Device Manager.

    b. locate network card and expand the driver icon.

    c. right-click on the icon of the Atheros wireless driver and click Uninstall.

Follow the instructions on the screen to uninstall the driver.

    d. open the folder that contains the installation file of the latest driver that you downloaded.

    e. double-click the Setup file and follow the instructions on the screen to install the NIC driver

You can try some troubleshooting section:
How can I troubleshoot network card?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/fix-network-adapter-problems#1TC=Windows-8

    Method 2:
You can also reset TCP/IP manually.

    Follow these steps:

    a. press the Windows key (enter the splash screen), type cmd on the right click of the screen prompt, select run as administrator.

    b. at the command prompt, copy and paste (or type) that follows the command, and then press ENTER:
    netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

    c. Note: If you do not specify a path of the directory for the log file, use the following command:
    netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

    d. restart the laptop.

Let us know if it helps. If you have any other questions, we will be happy to help you.

  • Stuck on WiFi limited connectivity...

My WiFi says Limited, no Internet access, and sometimes, and if I just reset my WiFi or router it fixes usually, but this time I have tried everything and its saying stuck Limited and I do not know how to solve this problem this time, help!

  • Pavilion 17 t: WiFi limited connectivity issues (Intel AC 3165)

I recently bought a Pavilion 17 t at Costco. Overall, I love the computer. But he has a major problem, which is unacceptable for a laptop. The wifi keeps does not. I have not found a model of either.

I will be connected to my wireless network, and then all at once the internet will stop working. Still, it shows connected to the router, but cannot access the internet. I contacted HP support twice about this now, and their solution did not solve the problem. The BIOS has been updated, the driver has been updated, Windows 10 has been updated, the wireless driver has been uninstalled and reinstalled. I still have the problem. If I try a reboot when this happens, reboot is very, very long time. I have it clocked 2 minutes before I did a restart button Manual power on it. But the problem of restarting seems to occur whenever the wifi problem happens (assuming I do a restart). I tried to turn the wifi market, and that is difficult. He often turns back on as soon as I turn it off, or does not at all meet my attempts.

If I connect a wired connection to the laptop, I am able to connect to the internet again. All other devices on the wireless router will still function properly when this computer does not work.

What would be my next steps to try to solve this problem? More information if you would like me?

    HP Pavilion 17-g133-cl

(Edit: Add product and OS info, correct a few grammatical errors.) Add the step 'Click 'OK' ').

Well, I was all over the internet trying to solve this problem I had the same experience. I found a solution and I signed up just to post on these forums. This problem has been a nightmare and I wanted to share.

My machine is HP Pavilion 17 G1337-CL, which has the ac3165 Intel (r) Dual Band Wireless. (I did a hardware change by exchanging on the HARD for one SSD drive)

The problem I had was produced by the Windows power management system. When I went to a few minutes, without access to the internet it would be close. I could open a browser window, but if I was not actively sends or receives data, the connection would be closed.

It's the solution of two parts (10 Windows):

    PART 1

    Start menu right click Windows

    Select "Device Manager".

Open "network cards" from the drop-down list

    Right-click "Inter (R) dual band wireless AC-3165.

    Select "Properties".

    Select the tab "power management."

Uncheck the "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power".

    Click on 'Ok '.

    PART 2

Right click "RealTek PCIe FE Family Controller"

    Select "Properties".

    Select the tab "power management."

Uncheck the "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power".

    Click on 'Ok '.

Restart the computer (don't know if it's necessary, but I always restart)

    It fixed for me.

I found part 1 on several forums, but I had to find part 2 on mine. I was connected to the internet for nearly 24 hours without a single loss of connection! Essentially, the driver for the controller has been close and do not restart properly. Without the controller, the wireless adapter cannot communicate with the system.

Sincerely, I hope this helps, it is a beast of a problem and was all-consuming for my last three days off!

  • Acer wifi limited connectivity on C710 problem

I bought an Acer C710 for my 83 yo Mama and it has worked well for well over a year.  We have recently added an external monitor and a keyboard for ease of use.  After a day, she suddenly lost the wifi signal.  I have a new Asus router that has been in place for about 6 weeks with no problems.

When I put the unit near the router it connected no problem, but when I return it to its original location he sees the router, but it is out of reach.  I brought my iPad to the same location to see if it was indeed a router problem, but the iPad connected without problem.

I can move the router with a lot of noise... Drill a hole in a cement wall to move more close but does someone at - there another solution?

I think I found the solution.  After investigating the causes of the wifi disconnect with external monitors, it appeared that change the router channel could remedy the problem.  My Asus is set to Auto and I changed it to channel 11.  So far, keyboard and external monitor is connected to the Chromebook and wifi has still a strong signal.  No apparent problems with my other two computers.  I'll keep my fingers crossed!
