  30/05/2011, just after a meeting controversial of our community local Government Council, the Council pulled its Director general. It's great news for our community, and I tried to send copy of news to our regional newspaper online. Idiscovered that all my "hotmail" account passwords is over worked. Then I reset passwords for each of them over the next few days and discovered that the new passwords do not work, or they would work during a day, and then the passwords would not work the next day. I took the last email I received from Microsoft, clicked on the link to access the page where I could enter the PIN, to take on the private forum. The screen said that the email "was no longer valid," even if I replied to the email within 24 hours (I think...) I have entered my PIN anyway and arrived at a page that directed me to "private forum", only it was no 'private' forum, or is it possible to get it to him. There was no sense and no link to access. I am directed to a page of windowslivehelp General to "create a new user profile." I have three that I can't access. I entered the emails of non-working and my personal information. The message returned to the statement that "a user with this (email,... or something like) already exists." It's that I got. I could not beyond this page without entering the name of someone else or some false information because I am me and that he would do no good to put in another. I can barely keep track of all the passwords, names, addresses, etc., etc., I already have! The result is, I'm stuck on my account without a valid reason, and the account I am locked out so is the most important account. And this is where Microsoft should be concerned. The e-mail account that has been hacked for nearly two weeks, it is that the account of a set aside ONLY for MICROSOFT BUSINESS. One day, I could access the account (the password resets through chess,) I discovered that two and a half years of correspondence with Microsoft technicians - including their email addresses - had disappeared. This is not good. I had saved the lessons and references to the study for future work on my computer. So the fact that I can't send or receive e-mail from the techies interferes with Microsoft and Security Affairs as well. To make things worse, I also noticed that I don't get the usual techies follow-up emails after I have talking with them on the phone. Even when I give them my address email Earthlink, which has been configured to work with Outlook, I received no email from them. This tells me that the Earthlink/Outlook email has been hacked as well. I discovered that an email from a friend of mine had been opened, before even I knew that it had arrived in my email box. So what I want to do, is get specific help for a techie specific MS, on how to overcome the problems of communication. If I can't navigate to a "private hotmail forum" to get a response to my email; and if the technicians e-mail can't me and doesn't work when it is not, how to solve the lock-out of e-mail? A cat live would be the best solution. I understand that pay for MSN email comes with live phone support, but I have not yet registered for this service. Yes, there is a live chat page that can help with the problem of hotmail? Is there a way that I can read a specific answer to my specific problem? I still have to find an answer to this question. And finally, the fact that SOMETHING is put out that my Security Essentials at random times doesn't help. Security Essentials scans aren't picking up any viruses. However, this problem is recurring and has been for about the last two months. Even MS technicians checked the system configuration settings to ensure that engaged, and it is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Today, I have not checked remaining two hotmail accounts that appear to have been recovered. So, maybe I can receive e-mail from MS in my hotmail alternate accounts. However, the main account which I use only for correspondence of Microsoft, is still inaccessible and probably still not guaranteed. Advice appreciated.

  Double check all settings in the crop tool and make sure that you are not say things to create an image of HUGE due to your settings.

• Canon Vixia connectivity issues

  I have a Canon Vixia HV 40 camcorder but when I plug it via USB or IEEE connection is not to be picked up. It makes a noise to tell it connected (only with the Firmwire on USB makes no noise at all) it also on the camera says it is connected but does not appear in the devices in workstation or the management of devices.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the cd but no joy also tried on another pc with the same questions.

  When I tried to see if it is connected through its own software, but says it is not connected.  I went to the website to download the drivers but they say there is no driver to download only the software packages that come with the cd

  I only use it for the use of video and not interested in options still the firmwire must therefore work more than USB.

  I am running XP with SP2 on an Acer laptop.

  Any help will be very appreciated because not many other people seems to have issues that I am.

  Remove devices hidden in Device Manager:

  a. click view under view hidden devices

  b. expand all winks in Device Manager

  c. There will be multiple entries in the device in gray Manager uninstall all entries shaded under all the winks and then restart the computer

  I use fire wire that turns a USB port, if that tells you anything.

  Let me try and help you with the problem.

  1. you try connecting the camera for the first time on your computer?

  2. have you made sure the Firewire cable is working correctly?

  3. What is the status of the camera in Device Manager when you connect?

  To open Device Manager, press the key Windows key + X and choose Device Manager.

  In Device Manager, check if the camera is recognized.

  If the camera is not recognized, you may need to check the issue by using a different firewire cable.

  I also suggest you to run the hardware troubleshooter and check if that helps.

  1. Point to the upper right of the screen and then move the pointer of the mouse to the bottom and click on search.

  2. Enter Troubleshooting in the search box, type or click Troubleshooting, and then click hardware and sound.

  3. Click hardware and devicesand follow the instructions on the screen.

Does anyone know if I can use this camera directly with PE7 (via the memory flash card) or I have to use other software to fill with anything (?) to be able to change this specific PE7 camera.   The barrel must come with a FireWire cable. If this isn't the case, you will need to get one with the connector of the camera and also for your IEEE-1394/iLink/FW connector on your computer.

  You will have to buy additional strips. First of all, you can archive these for more late re - capture and rewriting of the bands is not a good idea.

  For your microphone, make sure to set the input on your camera. You want your mic to 'replace' the internal mic.

  This should be it.

  The VIXIA HF G10 can be used to broadcast video live feed to a computer in order to work as a webcam.  Connect the camcorder to a computer, it is for the transfer of already recorded video only.

  The highest quality is MP4 60 p 35 Mbps.  As a general rule, the higher bit, better is the quality.

• Computer sees NO Canon Vixia HG20 camcorder connected by USB

  My computer was custom built with Vista Home Premium. When I connect my camcorder via the USB port, the computer tries to pick up the pilot, but fails. When I go to my computer - the camera does not appear here. After about 2 hours with Canon helpdesk and try everything in their book, we determined that the device itself works correctly, it's just for some reason it is not recognized by Vista.
  I also borrowed laptop from a friend to see if it will work there, and he did. The camera has been recognized as soon as it was pluged. This laptop was not made to measure, so my inclination is that the problem is with my computer.

  Any ideas as to why a computer with Vista installed by the manufacturer (e.g. Dell) will recognize the camera, but a computer with Vista certified software bought through eCost, cannot see the camera...

  1. do you receive any error when connecting the camera?

  2. the cable works well?

  Method 1

  You can try to uninstall and reinstall the USB driver and see if it helps.

  1. connect the camera to the computer with the USB cable.

  2. turn on the camera.

  3. open the Device Manager:
  Click the Start button, in the start search box, type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER.

  4. in the window Device Manager, to the left of Bus USB controllers, click the PLUS (+) symbol.

  5. under Bus USB controllers, right-click USB mass storage device or right on your Panasonic camera to display the menu drop down.

  6. in the drop down menu, click on uninstall or remove.

  7. in the dialog box confirm the device removal, click the OK button.

  8 restart the computer.

  NOTE: After the reboot, the computer should recognize the connection of the camera and start to reinstall the USB driver.

  Method 2

  This problem occurs if the camera uses the standard Microsoft Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) to transfer the photos to the computer. Windows Vista and Windows XP SP2 use the standard of WPD (Windows Mobile) devices instead of the standard WIA to import pictures and videos. The WPD standard supports many features and options of connectivity of the devices.

  To resolve this problem, set the device to use the PTP (Picture Transfer) protocol standard instead of the WIA standard. For more information about how to configure the camera to use the PTP standard, see the manual of the owner for the camera. Or, visit the website of the manufacturer of the camera.

• Unable to capture video with the Canon Vixia HV40 HDV - why?

  I am unable to capture video HDV via Firewire to my Cannon Vixia HV40. I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on a computer HP DV6T Quad Edition laptop, using the native Firewire interface. I can capture DV standard definition without problem (when the unit is set to DV mode, Windows detects the device and the guests of action - if you select HDV mode, Windows does not, and the camera does not appear in Device Manager).

  So far, I tried to capture HDV in Sony Vegas, Windows Live Movie Maker, Cyberlink PowerDirector 7 and finally HDVSplit (considered as the common denominator of simpler, the lowest for the capture) without success. NOTE: the camera IS recognized in HDV mode. In all the above applications, I can go back, play and fast forward - there's a link that works at least at this level. When I try to capture HDV, I get different results - no success. HDVSplit starts playback on the camera and stops after 3-4 seconds, indicating that no data has been transferred from the camera. If I turn off scene detection, capture runs indefinitely, but the generated file is never more than 0KB. Director of Windows also appears to capture, but the file is still 70 KB and is not valid. Sony Vegas, same, begins the capture but never see any video. CyberLink Power Director, somehow, HDV recorded once a band - and can always record a live camera HD stream.

  I tried a lot of things:

  1 using the older driver 1394
  2 turn HD/HDV
  3 reinstall the capture software
  4 press the 'PLAY' button first, then enable "record", then the workflow is running.
  5. install the Canon software (despite the fact that it contains all drivers for camcorders) - in fact there is no driver for the Canon Vixia HV40. It is supposed to work with the Windows 7 driver. I tried both (W7 and legacy) with the same result.

  The Canon Vixia HV40 is documented as supported in Windows 7 by Microsoft and Canon - and yet there are many people on the Internet claiming to have this problem (although some people report no problems at all). I am sure that I do not see a 'Pink Elephant'. As this is a forum for Microsoft - I would be happy if I could capture in Windows Live Movie Maker - to keep the inconsistencies of the third part of the road. What should I try next? Is there a 1394 a generic driver that is certified to run on Windows 7?

  I went and hooked the camcorder new just to make sure that I can hardly believe it is now capture HDV. Perfect work. Believe me, I've tried evey solution I could find on the internet and it is the only one that worked for me. I found the solution on this forum and started to find only no sooner. I've only used it with Pinnacle Studio 12 so far... never mind, I just tried HDV Split and it works too. I had also planned to buy a SIIG NN-EC2812-S2 and if it had been less expensive, I did not hesitate. I tried from Best Buy's Dynex Express card, but he had the camera recognition problems and sent. I thought that you get what you pay and was actually looking for the best price on the SIIG when I came across the solution. I wish you good luck.

  CS5 to create problems to update the menu help.  Best to download and install manually.

  Another problem with CS5 was the Bridge opens as a process in the background and must be closed in the taskbar > hidden icons before updating.

  I use the trial version of Adobe Premiere (with the intention to buy in the near future) to import from a Canon Vixia HF200.  The HF200 uses the AVCHD format, written as MFX files.  I shot the highest quality me offered by my camera (MXP it's called) at 24 frames per second.

  Here's the problem: when I import the MXF files in first, they are imported as video ONLY, without any audio.  However, when I open the MXF files in VLC or Windows Media Player, they play with the audio.  How is it first is not recognizing/no import audio tracks?  How can I fix?  Help!
