Win 8 is not compatible with Epson SCANNER twain mode wireless printer

Printer: Epson WordForce 4530. Prints on home network but says "incompatibility" when you try to scan from PC with Win8.

The most recent driver Win8?

Hi Renon,

I followed you suggestions and after downloading the latest driver from Epson and Microsoft and has done a few resetting now works both the printer with all of its latest improvements and scanning the computer. I was a little worried when I deleted the old printer driver, but obviously I'm back.

The original came with ABBYY, Epson printer but I can't with the last download. I also I have a version of ABBYY 9.0 license. When I started using the beta version 8 to win my installed ABBYY does not work and when I called the company, last summer they said that the current version will not work with Win8. Now that the full version is out, I wonder how I can get the OCR runs again. It's a great program and I need.

So is this a Microsoft fix or should I contact ABBYY?

Once again thanks for the fix on digitization.

    Hello

Do a clean install of XP with the XP disk provided by Dell, if you.

If you do not have your XP disk, you can contact Dell and ask them to send you a XP disc.

  • Win2K8 - this processor is not compatible with the 64-bit mode

This is my first shot to create a virtual machine VMware

We just got a new server in a data center

Its windows 2008 Server. (the 64-bit version)

My plan is to run a Server 2008 ontop of a host of Server 2008 virtual machine

First I used a converter for P2V - this bit has been successful, so basically I took a picture of the host and converted to a Virtual Machine.

I put the image to use 1 core of the dual core CPU and the memory (4gig) half and half of disk space on drive D (50 GB)

Then I installed virtual server 2, and any

Then I installed the thing that makes you see the window in Internet Explorer (some may be active x thing?)

In any case, at the time of starting the server VM, I get the message:

You can run virtual servers, they simply can be 64-bit because your processor doesn't support VT

  • WIA scanner driver is not compatible with the picture of programs in Windows 7

    Running Win 7 Pro 64.

Scanner and camera inherited and am forced to use "update" to the WIA drivers, no TWAIN driver available from mfg

Tried using PhotoPlusX3 Serif would not import from a scanner or camera. Had to stop the program from the Task Manager.

Installed Corel Draw Graphics Suite X 5 it will scan but will not place image on the workspace.

The two programs have the same problems.

A dialog box appears "this action cannot be performed because another program" is underway. Choose ' switch to ' to activate the busy program and correct the problem.

Choose ' switch to ' only takes me to my list to start programs without anything being said to the one who is the "busy".

I'm unable to close the dialog box because the 'X' does not work and the 'Cancel' button is grayed. I have to go to Task Manager to close the program.

So is this a correctable problem or bad things of Serif and Corel or Microsoft? (wiawow64.exe)

  • Error message: "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows that you are using", when you try to run an old ms - based back program in Win-7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Original title: program compatibility Application Applications App Apps game games Legacy Crash crashes Hang hangs

I get this message when you try to run an old MS-DOS - based program in Win-7 Ultimate 64-bit.

"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are using. Check your computer system information to see whether you need a x 86 (32 bit) or x 64 (64-bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher. »

I understand that I am under a 64 bit OS, but is it possible to get this program to run? I was wondering if anyone has tips :)

    Hi Bcopeland,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

Based on the information, you are trying to install and use an old ms - dos program based in Windows-7 Ultimate 64-bit.

The problem is a software that was created for Windows 95, 98, and Windows XP has no way to work correctly with an operating system that didn't even exist when the software was written. However, the error message you get normally means that you have a 32-bit software that you are trying to install on a 64-bit system.

You can check the compatibility of the program with Windows 7, in the Compatibility Center.

    Compatibility Center

If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

    a. click right on the program.

    b. click Properties.

    c. click on the tab compatibility.

    d. Select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or whatever to use the system, the program was executed successfully.

Here is an article that gives you more information on this:

Make older programs in this version of Windows

If the problem persists, you can get in touch with the software vendor to see for the latest version of the program to use the same system of 64-bit Windows 7.

    Hope the helps of information.

If you need assistance in the future to resolve any issues related to Windows, post your query and we will be happy to help you.

  • Control Panel and search functionality in Windows 8 close automatically and return to high office; Computer is not compatible with Win 8.1

I had a problem with Windows 8...  Problem started after several requests of "upgrading to Windows 8.1, I succumbed.  Windows 8.1 was not compatible with my hard drive.  Screen kept flickering.  MS supports finally told me that there is an incompatibility problem.  We have restored the Win 8.  They have me do not upgrade.  But never told me how to avoid invitations.  The problem is finally updated on its own and now after wiping everything 3 times and reinstall my software, I tried to go into the control panel to find where I can disable the automatic upgrade.

The problem I have now is I can't have in Control Panel or the search function.  Whenever I click on it, a screen appears, and then closes and I'll be back on the desktop.

    My questions:

How can I fix the problem where the control panel automatically closes?  Can it be done without reinstalling Win 8 for the 4th time?

Assuming I'm correct, how can I prevent the automatic upgrade to 8.1 Win forever?

It would have been nice if MS had designed the upgrade to first check the computer to see if she had all the necessary drivers and was otherwise compatible with 8.1 and then if not to prevent the upgrade.  It would have saved me countless hours to deal with this problem.  I'll think twice before getting a computer with windows again.

If you are not running this time then Windows 8.1 is not the reason why the Panel closes.  This type of problem is almost always a virus or malware, but can also be caused by other programs that are in conflict.  So I'd start first by asking, you run 8.0 at this time?  If so, the closing Control Panel problem is due to corruption or an infection. If you are reasonably sure that you do not have a virus (run scans), so I'll try to remove all recent programs have been installed at the beginning of the question, try to see what is happening in Mode safe mode (hold SHIFT when you click the Restart option to get there).

question: Pavilion DV6000 - upgrade vista to windows 7, WIRELESS Intel Pro - VE 100 card is not compatible with Windows 7

You want to upgrade Vista current on this laptop HP for Windows 7 ultimate. I'm upgrading and not install it from scratch.

So here's what I have so far...

    1. the Microsoft compatibility tool indicates that the current driver Intel pro 100 VE network connection is not compatible

    2. the Intel site, it says it does not support the OEM driver - to go to the manufacturer site

    http://www.Intel.com/support/network/adapter/PRO100/sb/CS-025637.htm

    3. the driver found on the driver download area HP.com is compatible with Windows XP only says

Windows 7 may have a built-in driver, he doesn't have much. According to this > Page, it is included in the Windows 7 Installer.

  • Acrobat freezes when scanning with Epson scanner in windows 10

I upgraded to Windows 10 and installed the latest drivers for my Epson Workforce 635, the scanner, fax printer. Update of the acrobat software. Now, I am unable to scan to PDF, Adobe Acrobat pro 7.  Adobe Acrobat starts up, I see the beginning of Epson and the Acrobat stops responding.

I've scanned in PDF format directly with the options of scan Epson, Abby Fine-reader 9.0 and Quick Books. I was also able to scan with Adobe Acrobat using the WIA driver.

    No Adobe Acrobat error freezes.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi ntanti,.

Acrobat 7 is not more supported by Adobe & is also not compatible with Windows 10, so it is not possible to predict how Acrobat 7 will include no compatible platform.

Please use the application in the compatible environment so that its fully functional.

However, still you can try some troubleshooting steps, from a few Troubleshooting scanner questionscan be used.

  • Satellite A500 - video/dvd player is not compatible with Windows 10

After having recently updated of my laptop for windows 10 I discovered that the dvd player does not work. A message is displayed informing that the player is not compatible with this version of windows. A scan using Norton suggests dvd will not work because it needs to be configured.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Obviously, Toshiba DVD playback application that is preinstalled on this Satellite A500 model is not compatible with the system Windows 10.

In this case this software will not properly work after the upgrade to win 10 and I guess you have to remove the system Win 10.

Unfortunately, the Satellite A500 is not listed as Win 10 portable computers and so I don't think you will get an update to this software for DVD playback.

    Hi the prey,

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

You should check the settings of the computer BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) to boot from the CD/DVD. Check the manual or the support of the computer Web site for the same.

Note: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.

Run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to see if your computer is compatible to install Windows 7.

  • Program, managing your money get the version of the file is not compatible with Windows Vista

I'm trying to run an old program, manage his money, on Vista Home Premium 64 - bit. It ran OK on Win XP. When I try to run the setup.exe, I get error - "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows hou are running." I tried to use the program compatibility Wizard. No help. Same mistake. Anything else I can try?

If you get this error and the Compatibility Mode doesn't help, then the program simply is not compatible with this version of Vista, and if you want the program, you will need to check with the manufacturer to see if they make a full install version which is compatible with Vista and buy the program more recent.  If they do not have such a version, then I'm afraid you're just out of luck with this program.  The only other option MIGHT be Virtual PC, but even that is not a guarantee and is a little extreme just to get an old program running.

Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear, but it's like that.
