I get the message from Microsoft saying that I can not install because 2007 is less common that preloads the Office. Don't want to buy another license of Office. What should do?

This means that your move of the preinstalled Office failed. To resolve this problem, follow this Microsoft Support article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

  • Win XP - Office delayed after that Patch updated Tuesday

I installed 9 updates which were available on 11 February 14 for Win XP SP3, including some for dotnet and Microsoft Office.

Now when I start the wallpaper appears on 'normal' life, but there is no taskbar and no desktop icons for ~ 3-4 minutes after the wallpaper is displayed. What I see is the pointer of the mouse and paper painted.

I can open Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) duties during this time, but there is nothing hogging the CPU. System Idle is 98-99% of the time processor.

Does anyone have any idea update might be the cause of this problem? Otherwise, I'll have to do a system restore to before this latest round of updates and install all of them, one at a time. to find the one that is causing this problem.

    What a pain...

I solved the problem. I ran chkdsk /f on the drive. It sets ~ 60 errors and flag of a bunch of lost file fragments.

Most of the fragments seems to be associated with dotnets who were replaced by updates this week and may be files that were not completely removed during the cleaning process.

    Thanks for your help.

  • After the upgrade to WIN 8, Office and other programs are lost?

After the upgrade to WIN 8, have been uninstalled all of my programs, including Office 2010. Does anyone know if there is a way to get back programs without having to reinstall everything?

If you have selected "keep settings of Windows, files and applications, then you should still have Microsoft Office installed. You have not selected this option during installation?

Besides being able to keep your Windows settings and personal files, you can keep your personal files too during the upgrade to Windows 7. If you choose No, Windows 8 place your files in a folder named Windows.old.

If you have not selected these options, you will need to reinstall your programs since the original installation disc.

To launch your applications, go to the start, screen by pointing your mouse pointer on the left corner of the screen of Windows 8 and click on it.

Do scroll to the right and start your application.

  • Deleted the operating system preloaded PC that has no restore disk.

Original title: my stupid mistake: deleted operating system pre-loaded PC that has no restore disk. How can I the system works again with the original software?  Please notify.

I am the original owner of an e-machine model (office) preloaded 32 bit ET1161-07, labeled with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1.  4050th AMD Athlon tm X 2 processor.  NVIDIA GEForce 6150SE integrated.   I know almost nothing about the operating system, and while he was trying to destroy the virus, I deleted all the files from hard drive, even those inside what I understand now was a protected partition.  Now I hear the disks with this computer not restore disks, I made a huge mistake delete these files. e-Machines Web site indicates that they no longer provide a restoration for this model drive, but they have the driver files on their website so I copied all the files on a flash drive.  I have a copy of the diskette MS Office Home and Student 2007 that I bought at Best Buy, shortly after I bought this computer (also at Best Buy).  I also have an e-machines CD accompanying desktop, but I realize now it is not bootable and has only a power supply and Acrobat Reader.  I thought that the MS Office Home and Student 2007 would be bootable and include the operating system, but seems not to be the case.  What should I do now?  Help, please.  Thank you!!

    Hello

You can use a Microsoft Vista DVD for resettlement purposes (borrow one from a friend), which contains the files for the different editions of Vista must be installed. The product key on your computer case will determine which Edition is installed.

Builders recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as well as 32-bit and 64-bit editions different DVD lights.

  • Backgammon Win NT

Is anyway to run the old game of Backgammon of Win NT on Windows 7?  I prefer away game 3 matches and NT controls, but I 'upgraded '.  I tried to move the .exe and .dll files associated with my Win 7 office, but 'no dice. '

To be honest, I have no idea if it will work or not, but have you tried to play with the different settings in "compatibility mode"?

Including fixed to run in the operating system used to run it, and maybe check "run this program as an administrator" as well etc.

Once again no real idea but, if you have the correct version of W7 and its important for you, maybe it'll work in "XP Mode"?

  • Question about dual OS on Qosmio G20

Have purchased a Qosmio G20 by the NHS. However the computer has been recreated to all machines include Win Xp, Office 2000, patches, check virus etc. to allow him to sit on the Exchange Server. Lost all data which however library, Qosmio Player. I don't know re-install by CD revovery discs. Can it work on dual OS, if I install on another partition? Help!
HE says they can re-create the image to the characteristics of the original, but won't be able to sit through the network.

    Options?

    Hello

If you want to recover your system first you must install the Qosmio Player, Media Center, and then the OS. The Qosmio player erased all your files on the HARD disk if you install the operating system first. In addition, you can use your laptop with dual operating system. You need to create a primary partition and you can install the second operating system. To create the partition, you can use partition Magic 8. It s interesting a tool.

I bought this model HP Desktop HP Pavilion P6 - 2317c sometimes, back and it came pre-loaded with Windows 8.0.  I upgraded successfully to Win 8.1.  Since the free update to win 10 was announced, I waited for some instructions for the upgrade I had for my laptop.  Do not get everything up to now, I sent a question to Microsoft as to why.  They said that this version of Windows is not eligible for the upgrade.  Can you tell me why? and what was wrong with the 8.0 Win that came preloaded and was one of the reasons I chose this model to replace my Win XP based PC.  Please order this upgrade to detangle with Microsoft.

    [Personal information]

    Hello Parvezb ;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on Windows 10 Upgrade and wanted to help.

I never cease to be amazed by the amount of misinformation that MS representatives give people on Win10!

Rumors started about Win8 NOT be eligibile for the Win10 upgrade because people could not do it from Windows Update. But later, MS released information on the upgrade paths, and he showed be extensible Win8 to Win10 using Win10 media.  So what rep MS told you that he was not eligible for Win8 doesn't even know their own products!

You CAN actually go to Win10 when you want - using the tool of MS Media: 10 Windows Installer using the media - Windows help authoring tool

With this tool, you have the option of (1) creation of installation of Win10 (USB or DVD) media, (2) download an ISO file, (3) update the PC directly.  If all you want to do is updated on this PC, then choose the option: upgrade this PC now.

    Good luck

  • HP G61: Do not start HP G61

Most of the members of Forum HP informitive Hello! I have a problem with a HP G61-336nr. After giving a loan short to my friend, he called me and informed me that he did not work. On his return, I found when I started it, I got the HP logo, but then, instead of going to win. Office 7, all that was displayed was: "NO BOOT MGR FOUND" what? I managed to go to the start menu and checked all. It was configured to start with the HARD drive. I tried a restore disk, however, it does the same thing. A friend told me he thought it was the hard drive. He said that the "boot manager" is a part of the programming of the HD system.  So, I put in another which has been formatted, and it came: «no found operating system, insert a media disc»

So, it's the HD? Is on the HD boot manager? Thanks for any help!

    TFL

Yes, I think that your friend has damaged the hard drive. The Boot Manager is a software on the hard disk, but if the disk is damaged or corrupted the system couldn't do it. The laptop has built in Diagnostics for the drive hard if you go into the BIOS (F10) that you turn and look for the HARD drive diagnostic test. The blank formatted disk you put in that behaves just like one would expect that excludes is a problem with the rest of the system. Let us know how the test on the HARD drive out.

  • "DB tools Insert Data.vi" problem in LV 8.6

    Hi all

Someone had a problem with the new "DB tools Insert Data.vi" in LV 8.6?

He broke my method to record variations in the data base (engine Jet4, win XP, Office 2007) without caveats.

    All ideas are welcome.

    Pawel

I tested the DB_test_simple.vi with MySQL database. Data can be inserted into the table. The error occurs when you convert Variant data after the database querying. See the screenshot. Database Toolbox knows that Variant refers to an integer I32 actually. If you look at this table after insertion, there is column b is of type integer. If the questioning of this table will give you these '10' as Variant data to I32, but not from variant to variant. Change the type of entry that the variant of Data.vi as the sceenshot, your VI will work well.

  • DeskJet 970Cse

Here is a puzzle game that will solve only the best.

I have a DeskJet 970Cse printer connected to my desktop with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

My original problem was that everything I printed came out with a characteristic green tint. I changed the parameters of color management that had no effect. Then I replaced authentic color and black cartridges with HP.

The printer is now, only the letters and images in black and white. Curiously, when I print from my laptop (with Windows 7), the printer specific strokes of color and black and white images and letters.

I have reset my color on my desktop management for corresponds to the setting of my laptop, but always only print black and white to my office.

I'm really tired. Please reply and help me to solve this problem which has been hung for more than a year. I even thought seriously to replace my printer, but it is difficult to admit defeat.

I'm waiting for your wise advice.

    Hi EngineerBruce,

Given that this printer has only a driver of OS provided by Win 7 Office cannot be correctly installed the driver or the cable you are using does not communicate with the printer correctly. If you can print fine to the laptop on the network then the first thing you should check is the cable you use to connect to this printer on your desktop.

When you uninstalled the printer from the printers and devices, and then reinstalled since you don't specified to replace the driver already installed on the computer?

Do the Self test page printing the printer ok?

    1. Turn the printer off, and unplug the cable that connects the printer to the computer.
  • HP 7612: papersize

I need to print restaurantmenu on square paper A4 (210 * 210 mm) I just changed my old officejet 8500 where I had no problem at all to the most recent 7612 and it no longer works. I am unable to set a different paper size, not to mention printing

installation win 10 / Office 2013 / Editor (papersize custom installation)

    does anyone have a solution?

    Hi @officejethp7612,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you try a custom size of print with your HP Officejet 7612, and I'm happy to help you!

According to the specifications of the printer, 210 * 210 is a paper size not supported for this printer. The paper sizes supported are:

    100 x 150 mm (3,94 x 5.91 in) *.

    2 L *.

    Letter: 216 x 279 mm (8.5 x 11 inches)

    216 x 330 mm (8.5 x 13 in)

    Legal US: 216 x 356 mm (8.5 x 14 inches)

    EXECUTIVE: 184 x 267 mm (7.25 x 10.5 in)

    A4: 210 x 297 mm (8.3 x 11.7 inches)

    Declaration of US: 140 x 216 mm (5.5 x 8.5 inches)

    152.4 x 203.2 mm (6 x 8 inches)

    B5 (JIS): 182 x 257 mm (7.2 x 10.1 inches)

    -Edge A4 (borderless print)

Letter from edge to edge (printing without margins)

    A5: 148 x 210 mm; (5.8 x 8.3 inches) *.

    279 x 356 mm (11 x 14 inches) *.

    310 x 310 mm (12 x 12 inches) *.

    B4 (JIS): 257 x 364 mm (10.2 x 14.3 inches)

    Tabloid: 279 x 432 mm (11.0 x 17.0 inches) *.

    Super b: 330 x 483 mm (13.0 x 19.0 inches) *.

    A3: 297 x 420 mm (11.7 x 16.5 in)

    A3 +: 330 x 483 mm (13.0 x 19.0 inches)

    Edge-to-Edge tabloid (printing without margins)

    Edge-to-Edge A3 (borderless print)

As a solution, I recommend you to try to assign another driver, you can try the steps for Windows 8 in this post, How to assign drivers to Print in different Versions of Windows, because they will work on Windows 10. Try again your custom paper size.

Otherwise, please try one of the paper supported sizes listed above.
