Win 8 the Action Center Maintenance flag shows all the time.

Hi, I just upgraded to Windows 8, and so far, everything is good, except that I noticed that the Maintenance indicator shows all the time in the taskbar. It started yesterday, previously only proven while in fact the interview. How can I fix it?

Why don't you just open control panel... icons in notification area and choose for the "notifications action center 'flag' to see the only?

  • Warnings from Windows 8 Action Center that McAfee and the Defender is not activated after Windows update.

In December 2012 after installation of the updates of Microsoft Windows on my machine Windows 8 and rebooting, my icon downtown Action system gave 3 warning messages:

The spyware, antivirus and Firewall wasn't turned on do not.

When I was in the center of the Action, he said time Windows Defender and McAfee have been disabled.

I ran Mcafee checks as well as the defender and it states that my machine is virus-free.

I clicked on Mcafee and it said all were lit.

I called Mcafee technical support and they did something in December 2012 and has solved the problem and none of the messages is new. They do not just turn off messages in December 2012, they did something, but wouldn't discuss what has been done with me.

However, today, Jan 8/13, another set of Windows updates have been installed by Microsoft and yet once again, the WARNING messages 3 came.

I called McAfee support again and said that I didn't call each month when I install the updates of Windows to solve the problem and that there is a bug with Windows 8 and McAfee.

I looked at the tech of McAfee as he did helpline (I work in technical support as well) and what he did this time was to turn off Action Center messages, thinking that I DINA realize that it was not really solved the problem.

I told him, I understand that it seems that McAfee is not working properly, but I will not renew my McAfee Dell subscription this March/13 because that doesn't solve anything... it's just disable the warning messages. (I showed her that if I turn on the message, the warnings were still there... apparently he was shocked that I knew what I was doing).

He said that McAfee is a problem with Windows 8 and McAfee and are working on a fix.

The tech told me to get in touch with Dell and they would provide a fix.

This problem does not occur with my Alienware Windows 7 pc and installation of Windows 8 I received is on my other pc from Dell.

Is someone can you please tell me if there is a fix for this?

I will not renew my McAfee subscription if it comes to the type of service that will be provided; I'll go with another antivirus program.

    Thank you

That's why I stated measures for any user to repiar this problem themselves in over the answer, but for some reason not to many are eager to make they perfer to ignore the help and just complian. the way I used overkill stages of difficulty was the following. 1. removal of devices connected, 2. back up the system and all the files, 3. • How to restore Win7 backup on the new system and drive Action Center repair after disk crash

I have a Dell which took a 64-bit disk crash.

I created there is not long from the center of the Action, a disk repair and backup of the C: drive on a backup USB 1 TB drive.  These two events has been made by the Windows 7 Action Center.

I have a new installation disk in the system to replace the one that crashed.

Is it as simple restore system on the new drive that boot from the ERD and then recognizes the USB disk and backup file Action Center?

My hypothesis is the combination of the ERD and backup Action Center will bring my system to date content calendar when they were created?

    Problems to watch?

If your image is on a connected USB external drive, you may need to install a drive to the external hard drive in the installation process.  So you should find a driver for it and store it on a USB key so that you can install it when asked.

Starting the system on the ERD is simple and still works.  Just press F12 at first then select the DVD drive and click Yes.

  • Cannot open the message of solution in the Action Center in windows 7

I got the solution in the windows 7 Action Center, but I can't open it. I don't know that my internet connection is good. How can I get the message of solution? Thank you.

Same here, but I can have a work around.  Had a Windows 7 BSOD twice in a week.  Both times the Windows Action Center reported that he had a solution, but when I clicked on the link to view the solution, the Details of the Message screen says he was unable to download the solution and told me to check my Internet connection.  Clearly not the problem.  I clicked on the link "see all the problems that this applies".  Check-video equipment 2 errors and the other "stop unexpectedly" (BSOD).  Workaround: in an event random dumb luck, I clicked on the back arrow at the top of the Action Center to return to the display of the details of the Message, and as if by magic, instead of the same message on checking my Internet connection, it displays the solution!  Now, don't get excited too - the proposed '' solution '' is not really a solution for the BSOD or apparent problem with the NVIDIA graphics card.  Here you go:

A problem with the NVIDIA graphics driver

NVIDIA Graphics Driver has stopped working properly.

An update of the driver, as appropriate, could prevent this problem does not happen.

There are several ways to find and install the driver updates, but it's best to let Windows do it for you. Try the step below, which describes the process. If it does not produce a driver update that resolves the problem, try the remaining steps in the order shown.

    1. Look for the optional third-party updates

Even if all the critical updates have been installed on your computer, the optional updates may be available for NVIDIA Graphics Driver, who have not yet installed. Here is how to use Windows Update to find and install the updates driver option:

      1. Click here to open Windows Update in Control Panel

      2. In the left pane, click check for updates to see if there are any optional updates available for your computer.

      3. If the optional updates are available, click the link to view and select the updates to install. (If you don't see this link, you may need to clickSearch online for updates from Microsoft Update).

If no optional updates are available, go to step 2.

      4. Select the optional updates, you want to install (especially if they seem to be related graphics), clickOK, and then click install updates.

    2. Try to manually update the NVIDIA Graphics Driver

If no optional NVIDIA Graphics Driver update was available in Windows Update, you can try the NVIDIA Graphics Driver update manually.

      Note
It's best to let Windows automatically installs the drivers for your hardware, as described in step 1 above.

If you decide to manually update the NVIDIA graphics driver, here's how:

      1. Click here to open the Device Manager if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

      2. In Device Manager, double-click display adapters, and then double-click the name of the NVIDIA Graphics Driver device running.

      3. Click driver , and then click set to update driver.

  • When asked how you want to search for driver software, click search automatically for updated driver.

  • Windows locate and install a new driver, if available.

  • See the NVIDIA Corporation Web site for driver updates

If no optional NVIDIA Graphics Driver update was available in Windows Update, go online to the following site to check for driver updates:

    Dear rt00

Please note that when you start your computer, it loads first your operating system (Windows), then other applications that are set to run at startup. Depending on the amount of RAM that your machine and also on the number of programs that need to be loaded, this process can take a long time to complete.
Because at the start of Windows Security Center modules of BullGuard are still waiting for Windows to load them (through the svchost process), it signals that you are not protected. This warning should fade after a few minutes.
