  Hi, John. It's quite nervous of a member of the MS forum say that Dell is responsible to operate Windows. It wasn't Dell but MS who claims that Win10 has most of the necessary drivers and if not then the drivers Win7 and Win8.1 would work.

  I doubt that it is possible for two reasons. Dell went from IDT Realtek as the audio seller so probably not more a a contract with IDT, if IDT even exist anymore. A year ago IDT was acquired by another company. I do not know its current status, but it is sure that the acquiring company will not be upgrading old software IDT. Reference Dell itself does not write the audio drivers. Even when IDT was the seller I believe that Win7 drivers are the final versions - no version 8 or 8.1 I think.

  The native Windows audio driver can't stand struggling external mic. It is a MS 'known problem '. MS must implement a decision-making support, but there is no indication that it will be. Meanwhile, you have two workaround solutions. You can switch backwards between the natives and the IDT drivers. At some point Win10 could leave the IDT driver works correctly.   Working with and reading Dragon RED 6 K images on the timeline, the audio track falls inside and out. The meters also stop working when audio is de-energized.   Audio is de-energized is more if you delete the audio tracks of RED Dragons. Only play .wav files under the Dragon pictures with audio in sync, I no longer get audio drop-outs. This may apply to other codecs as well.

  Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  I understand that, after the update of Windows 10 anniversary, you had some sound problems.  I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

  Check the support page for your model of HP Pavilion 500-215el desktop PC, there don't seem to be updated drivers, and you have already tried to reinstall existing ones.

  You can always try to use the HP Support Assistant, HP PCs - using HP Support Assistant (Windows 10, 8, 7) to see if there is a driver available that is not displayed on the support page. It is unlikely, but there is always a chance that the page has not yet updated.

  I bought my slate 8 Pro (model 7600US) to replace my Blackberry playbook. It is the great Tablet (screen perfect last Tegra 4 CPU, battery in good condition, good speakers integrated), but after the use of the Tablet for several days, I am surprised by problems with audio quality of the headphone output. I use mainly compressed with headphones (audio books, Netflix, music, etc.), so when I connected my Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 Pro (headphones ultra-sensitive 119db/mW, 12 Ohm), I got very sensitive background noise, artifacts and, what is very annoying - variable pitch tones when changing tone based on the activity of the Wi - fi and load CPU, especially on low volume levels.

  So I tried using headphones from Shure (109db, 29 ohms), less sensitive 4ca as KOSS KTXPRO (106db, 60 ohms) with the same results. HP Slate 8 Pro is not powerful enough to Sennheizer 555 (105db, 120 ohms) but I also had the artifacts and noise of not. Finally I tried junk headset $2 and found the sound sounds and tones perfectly acceptable ground level, but the sound quality with these phones is terrible.

  To compare, I tried all my headphones with Nexus 7, Samsung Note 3, IPhone 5 and Playbook without problem.

  I have returned the shelf at the store and replaced it for the new, but I had similar problem.
