I can't duplicate although I do not see a hesitation before the video plays in the Viewer when I move the playhead on timeline to the media browser. I suggest you open iMovie, hold down the command and option keys and the removal of preferences in the window that opens.

  Change the screen resolution

  Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

  For example, 640 × 480 is a lower screen resolution, and 1600 × 1200 is higher. CRT monitors generally display a resolution of 800 × 600 or 1024 × 768.   My laptop recently hooked and I couldn't even do a ctrl/alt/delete to run the programme of work to see what was going on, so I turned off manually. At the start, I have a black border running down the right side of the page and can not see the taskbar at the bottom. I put in 1280 x 720 resolution to allow access to the bottom task bar. I updated the driver for the display, but this did not remedy the problem. How can I go back to 1280 x 800?

  FIXED! Last series of Microsoft updates have cured the problem. The resolution is now in 1366 x 768 (recommended)!

  I can't think I powered the phone turned off when microsoft have downloaded updates, too bad Microsoft doesn't inform you they do this and then freeze you :-(

  a. use the System File Checker (SFC.exe) tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
  2. Type the following command and press ENTER:

  sfc/scannow

  The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  b. perform a disk check:

  Use the following steps:

  1. Open computer by clicking the Start button, click computer.
  2. Click the drive you want to check, and then click Properties.
  3. Click on the Tools tab and then, under error-checking, click Find now. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  To automatically repair problems with files and folders that the scan detects, select automatically fix file system errors. Otherwise, the disk check will be a problem, but not to fix them.

  To perform a thorough check, select search and attempt to recover bad sectors. This analysis tries to find and repair physical errors on the disk itself, and it may take much longer to complete.

  To check for errors file and the physical errors, select both automatically fix errors in file system and search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.

  1. Click Start.

  Depending on the size of your drive, it may take several minutes. For best results, do not use your computer for any other tasks while it checks errors.
