WIN8 64 bit, BSOD: Memory_Management

The original setting of my laptop is win8, 64 bit, i5 4G memory. Recently, I used a 8 GB memory card to replace the original 4G one.

And then my computer often runs the in a blue screen with information "Memory_Management. I used the windows memory diagnostic tool, and no problem is detected.
What is the problem or how can I study further?
These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

If you are overclocking anything reset by default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!
If you don't know what it means that you're probably not

1 - Memtest.
Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Get it here
Boot from the CD and let it run at least 5 or 6 passes.
Remember, anytime Memtest reports errors, it can be bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.
Test the sticks individually and if you find a good, test it in all slots.

If a well-known stick fails in a card mother slot but not an another is probably the slot.

You can learn more about running memtest here

2. Driver Verifier

Using Driver Verifier is a dubious proposition.
Most of the time it will crash and it will tell you what is the driver, but sometimes, it will crash and will not tell you the driver.
Sometimes it will crash until you can connect to Windows. If you can't mode without failure, then you will have to resort to editing the registry offline to disable driver verifier.

I suggest that you first back up your data and make sure you have access to another computer so you can contact us in case of problems.
Then do a system restore point (so you can restore the system using the functionality of Vista/Win7 Startup Repair).

Here is the procedure:

Go to Start and type "auditor" (without the quotes) and press enter
Select "create of the custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next".

Select "Select individual settings from the list complete" and click "next".
Select all elements EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation"
Do not check to win 8 Concurrency stress test and the verification of the conformity of DDI, click "next".
Select "Select the driver names from a list", then click on "next".
Select all drivers NOT supplied by Microsoft, and then click "Next".
Select 'Finish' on the next page.

Restart the system and wait as he crashed to blue screen.

Continue to use your system normally and if you know what are the causes of the crash, do it several times.
The objective here is to get the system crash because Driver Verifier is stressing out the drivers.
If it is not planted for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.

If you are unable to Windows because it crashes too early, try safe mode.

If you can't mode without fail, try to use the system from the installation DVD restore to bring the system back to the previous point of restoration that you created.
For more information about driver verifier will here

The guest64check tool cannot check the BIOS settings, because it runs in user mode.   Your system may be running 64-bit guests, but it may require changes to the BIOS Setup.

VT - d is for virtualization of I/O.  VT - x is for CPU virtualization.  If you have a VT - d, then you also have VT - x.  It may be listed as something else in your BIOS, such as "virtualization technology".  Setting the BIOS to toggle this feature can be hidden under a tab "security".

  • Reinstall Acrobat on a new Win8 64 Bit PC

Hi all, looking for a little guidance on the subject of reinstall Acrobat on a new PC.

I bought Acrobat V10 for my son about 2 years ago from x for its Windows XP 32 bit PC which is now replaced by a Win8 64 bit PC. Can I just download the appropriate version and re-register with my existing serial number, or do I make me expunge the record/transfer of the existing facility?

'My account' on Adobe store does not seem to present various options for the download (just 0.5 GB one file), no one knows if the download contains versions 32 and 64-bit?

    Thanks in advance

    Regards Malcolm

    Hi mjdowers

I think that you have to look another installer, but make sure that your new system meets the system requirements...

In addition, a Serial Key allows you to install the product on 2 machines... If you do not use the product on the previous machine, please turn it off.

  • Satellite C660 - Windows 7 64 bit BSOD after upgrade RAM

    Hi guys

    my laptop Specs: Satellite C660-1JG
    -Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit (pre-installed, Toshiba-HDD recovery)
    -Intel® Celeron® Processor T3500
    -2048 MB of RAM DDR3 (800 MHz).

recently I increase my RAM to 4 GB (2 + 2 GB), since its installation, as soon windows7 64 bit beginning of loading, finished with BSOD. load BSOD Windows sometimes very well, but in a minute or two appears. I can confirm that it does not read the total RAM of 4 GB, I checked while the laptop was about 2 to 3 minutes ON. then I go out 1 RAM stick laptop is fine, no BSOD!

so question raises if the RAM is at fault, incompatibility etc, but I have the dual boot OS and other OS is Ubuntu 11. who reads the 3.84 GB RAM and without crashing or BSOD or any question.

Then I installed Windos 7 32 bit to see if that still has problems with 4 GB of RAM, but NO, 32 bit reads RAM 4 GB (usable 2.8 GB). without crashing or BSOD with 32, only problem with windows 64-bit version!
I checked the specification it says Max RAM 4 GB Ram and yes it supports 4 GB RAM with Linux and win7 32-bit.

I tried to update BIOS version 1.20 (currently on 1.40), but still got error: Firmware has no support of Flash (AFUWINGUI).
I was wondering if any of you can guide me to the right direction.
    Thanks in advance
    Concerning

I can't say for sure, but perhaps BSOD due to a compatibility issue.
What RAM you bought as add-on (brand and specification)?

    Hello community,

I reinstalled my Satellite C850D - 12U PSCC2E and now I have an unknown device.
    Hardware ID: ACPI\VEN_TOS & DEV_6205

I did some general research on the internet and it seems that it is to do with Bluetooth.

I installed the driver on the Toshiba site, unfortunately the problem is not resolved.

Do you have some ideas what happened?

SRY for my bad English ;-)

    Greetings mounisport

According to specification for laptop, that your laptop comes with Win8 OS 64-bit so you have reinstalled original recovery image and use laptop with factory settings now?

Notebook with factory settings should not have these problems so I put t understand why you have this problem.

Can you please send more info on this unknown device?

  • Satellite P775 program-S7230 - after installing Win8 32 bit, keyboard collapsed work

    Can someone please help?

I installed Windows 8, 32 Bit, as a clean install.
Used Toshiba Wizard and everything went well until the second day when I turned on the laptop
The keyboard is not all the essential features.

I plugged a Logitech keyboard and wireless mouse, functions such as DVD, Volume, switch & worked, the rest of the key traits does not save.

F2 & F12 function keys does not work so I can't get into the BIOS settings.

    Can anyone suggest a solution?

    > F2 & F12 function keys does not work so I can't get into the BIOS settings.

This has nothing to do with the system installed.
If you are not able to access the BIOS because the "F2" does not work, then it means that the material of the keyboard is not recognized by the BIOS / laptop.

In this step, windows drivers are not responsible for the keyboard because at the BIOS level (by turning on the unit in place) the system is not loaded so it cannot be a Win8 problem or other question of system, it looks like a hardware keyboard problem.
I think that it s just a bad luck that it happened shortly after the installation of Win 8

    Hello people
Hope some of you can give me very simple to the following answers please: -.

    3 l I am currently running Win7 Home Premium. 32 bit - on a Dell Studio 1737 laptop (2008-9) dual core 2.4 ghz

    2. If I understand my laptop is 64-bit capable?

    3. is it possible to upgrade current 32-bit Win7 64-bit Win8 without too much hassle. ?
or should I jst stay with 32 Bit Version of Win8?

    4. I also use Firefox 16 Beta channel (latest version)

Q = How can I move ALL my settings from Firefox 8 to WIN? without having to reload all individually!
If there is a way, and it's simple it please can someone explain. Very much appreciated.

Q = on Win8 I'll be able (for the most part) to use my Firefox Add ons, scripts, e.t.c settings.?

Like may people out there we are all not computer geeks or technicians... We want just the easiest route to the use of our laptops, in my case, I rely on it 24/7 and I don't have anyone to help me. I am looking for the way to smoother upgrade possible.

    Thank you very much

    Best wishes Steve

    Steve

If I were you (and my computer) I would opt for 64 bit for several reasons.  No doubt, it's a pain, but not a recurring.

Yes the parameters is a simple gesture.  Since firefox is 32-bit, it will work either.

    Dependent on 32-bit level

Earn 8 a Metro and regulaer of the office.  You can easily switch using the key of the 'victory '.

You can pin, have lists of shortcuts and virtually everything that you now on win 7.

Don't get me wrong, it's different and you will love it or hate it.

Good luck.  (BTW I used it as my only OS since February)

  • HP G62 - update ram, now get BSOD [memory_management]

    Hello

Product:  Laptop HP G62 (product number: WZ685EA-#B1R)

    OS: Windows 8.1 Pro

Question: When I turn on pc, after about 15 minutes of work, he goes to the blue screen of death with the "memory_management" error After an automatic restart, it works very well for as long as I need. Next day it happen, restarts and new - works perfectly.

Possible causes: it started to happen after I am new 2 x 4 GB DDR3 16chips. At first when I tried to update my ram, it never worked since I found out that my motherboard doesn't support that 16 chips. Then it worked. However, this error to start poping out. Other than the BSOD, everything works fine.

Extra: Memory_Management error gives a direction that ram is the real cause, so I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool. The audit successfully, which means that there are no hardware issues or incompatibilities. I'm guessing that the problem is drivers (which I agree, that HP has completely forgotten g62, when windows 8 came out).

This issue is annoying as hell. I considered this ad to windows support, however, I firmly believe that it's driver problems.

Thanks in advance. We'll see what can be done.

Heh, it's a right, a delicate... ? Well, the thing is that I checked memory with memtest, test of memory windows, General audits (including the 3rd party software) and all of them say that everything is OK/system is running correctly and so on.

I can't find any problem I could solve (except the BSOD). I guess the patient can just live with it. (most recent windows reinstall did not help, though, before windows reinstall the different invited BSOD errors, now only "Memmory_management").

Ok. sick, just put this topic as resolved.
