Win8 resettlement after the gaffe of Hyper V

I bought a 660 a few days ago and wanted to play with the addition of a virtual machine.  I installed Hyper-V on the MS site, but I need to have installed on my windows boot partition because now it start to Hyper-V and that's all. I get a nice DOS prompt and that's all.

Looking around on the disc via the guest of the BACK of my friend, I can see Windows and Windows.Old on the C:.  Because I can see the Windows.old I hope there is some way I can cancel my little experiment.  (On the plan positive, I had not installed something meaningful on the machine, so I can afford to do to jump immediately.)

So, how can I reinstall Win8?

Thank you!

You can order filtering alternatives by calling support or using this form (I recommend the form first):

support.Dell.com/.../backupcd_form

The drivers disk does you nothing without the OS disc.

You might be able to 'restore' by following the instructions below, but you would still need an OS disc to do:

support.Microsoft.com/.../971760

You can also upgrade to Windows 8 Pro and run the same software of Hyper-V in Windows 8.

If you want to dual-boot, you just need to remember that every OS needs its own partition.

    1. Once installed the old partition recovery W8-W10 no longer works without some fiddling with serious.

2A. There is recovery for W10 built into the operating system, type 'Settings' in the search bar, and then view the settings, then click on "Recovery" tab, this is where you can do a reset for W10.

More information about reinitialization, see link below

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-10/repair-recovery

2B. the recovery partition can be updated to W10 but requires a lot of geek who can't be mentioned here and definitely not worth the time and effort.

2 c. a Yes make your recovery from usb disks using this tool of creation of media.

    3. Yes

You already have your recovery W8 media while W8 was still installed?

  • After the abandonment of closing down in Win8, things like media keys becomes disabled.

Is there anyway you can update the shutdown process to make sure that things like the trackpad on a computer laptop and key functions of the media continue to run until the stop has been verified? There is no way to do what you ask for.  Capabilities for things like your multimedia keys come from a software that runs on your computer.  It is a program of live, running, just like your email, browser, calculator, or photoshop.

This software runs as a service (this is why you can't see most of the time), but certain services also (but don't) provide icons down by the clock.

When you shut down your computer, all programs running gets asked out.  Windows waits a few seconds for them to finish out, then stop the operating system.

When you stop, it's as if you were to right-click and get out your keys from the media programme of the taskbar icon (if she has a). Is no longer running the program, and may not listen to push you your buttons on media more. He went.  Just as you can't keep photo editing after the closure of photoshop.

Of course, you can open the program again.  And you are free to do so (if you know where your multimedia keyboard company stores the program file).  Or you could re - initialize the manner in which it was designed: to restarting your computer.

After the upgrade to 16.0.1 some just Youtube videos won't play. They work perfectly in Chrome.
    A few examples:
    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=rQpldNJXuP0
    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=-e-BRki7gwU
Most of the videos works perfectly, so I can't say what the problem is.

I have tried so that the first thing, but it didn't work at all.
Anyway, I solved the problem in the meantime by uninstalling Firefox and put it back. Please note that I had to do a CLEAN install, and I mean by 'clean' that I had to remove the settings as well. First I tried to reinstall it but I kept the settings (Firefox will ask if you want to keep when you uninstall) and it did not work. I therefore saved bookmarks and uninstalled everything. The later resettlement has solved the problem.

  • HP EliteBook 850 G3: HP EliteBook 850 G3: its problems after the update of Windows 10 anniversary

    Hi people!

After the update of Windows 10 birthday I have problems with my sound card. There are two sound cards listed by Device Manager. The first is "Conexant Audio of ISST" and the second "Intel High Definition Audio". I know not weather it was the case before the update. I just recognized it after the update when I had sound problems.

In any case, on a sound start works on the other boot it does not work. It seems that Windows chooses the sound card, every time when it starts. Sometimes it takes the bad sound card.

I tried to uninstall maps its and their resettlement. On the HP site, there is a driver for the Conexant map bot no driver for Intel High Definition Audio card. 10 Windows itself is not find a driver for this sound card. I also tried to reinstall the other drivers, chipset drivers for example. But unfortunately it did not help. I also tried to disable the Intel High Definition Audio, but also without success.

What else can I try? I don't want to reinstall Windows. There must be a solution without this. Any ideas? Here's a screenshot of my device manager, perhaps it helps:

If you need more information, please let me know.

    Best regards

    Ty

I just tried this driver and I still have sound after 6 resets.

    Hello

    Try the following

Firstly, uninstall your current version of HP Support Assistant using Microsoft 'Fixit' at the following link: this is particularly useful for correcting problems that may prevent resettlement on the machines running a 64 bit OS.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

Then download and install the latest version of HP Support Assistant of the page on the link below - the download links are to the bottom of the page.

  • Existing Windows updates will still be available for download after the end of the world?

Even though I am well aware that the Extended Support for Windows XP ends April 8 next year, I wonder if it will be possible to download existing updates to update of Windows, including Service Pack 3, after the end of the Extended Support phase.

    Thank you

I wonder if there is a way to download all the updates relevant at a time, in a sort of package instead download and install each one, one.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

I buy the new computer more than months ago. I thought that the manufacturer has already activated my W7 that I was wrong it just installed but not enabled. Now, after the holidays my W7 is expired and I just get a white screen on Normal Mode.

I don't have a CD key and re-setup of activation. Is there anyway that I can activate my W7 without going through resettlement. I guess that with the resettlement of W7 I have to reinstall all the other program too.

I found a way, and it works,

I restore the pc with stand up CD (I guess I could do it in safe mode too) about 10 days ago and then activate the w7. I had tried before, but I have not check the box date more restring. When I chose this option it gave me a lot more restore date to choose.
