When you play a file on your computer or on the Internet, the Player automatically adds the file to your library if it isn't already in your library. The reader does not automatically add a file that you play from removable storage media, a device removable storage, or on a shared network folder. For example, if you play a file that is stored on a CompactFlash card a data CD, or in a shared folder on another computer on your network, the player will not automatically add the file to your library.

    Hello

You did changes to the computer, before the show?

Music, videos and photos from Windows records files on your computer, while the Windows Media Player library contains only links to these files.

To find where a file is stored on your computer:

    a. click the arrow below the library tab, and then click Add to library.
    b. click on the library tab, and then browse to the file you want on your computer. Or, if the file is displayed in the list pane, continue to the next step.
    c. right-click on the file, then Open file location.

To find where all files are stored in a category, follow these steps:

    a. on the address bar , click on the click a categoryand then click on the category you want, such as the music.
    b. in the Navigation pane, click on library, and then click show more views.
    c. in the Navigation pane, click the folder. A column in the details pane displays the path to the files in this category.

  • Problems with reorded/live TV in Windows Media Center/player

Having recently updated the drivers for my graphics (Nvidea GeForce GTX 460 SE) Windows Media Player/Center refuses to show any video image during an attempt to play live TV or TV recorded previously. I only get audio.
My drivers are up to date and the only thing I can think that I've changed has been updated my graphic drivers. This is television shows that were working before.
I have been using a third-party program to play these in the meantime, but obviously it is not compatible with my remote windows.
    Any suggestions?

If it all started after updating the graphics driver, you can easily restore the driver.

Try to card tv tuner driver update. Visit the tv tuner card manufacturer's Web site to download and install the latest version of the driver.

Another thing, you could try resets WMC: -.

    Run the Setup again.

Open WMC > tasks > settings > General > installation Windows Media Center > rerun the installation

    Does that help?

If the above does not help then try to reset WMC: -.

Open Control Panel > uninstall a program > turn Windows features on or off > scroll multimedia features > uncheck the box against Windows Media Center > follow the instructions on the screen > Reboot > open again to turn Windows features on or off in the control panel > scroll multimedia features > check the box against Windows Media Center.

    Now reconfigure WMC again.

I would also suggest you to uninstall any third-party application you are using at the moment.

  • "Other libraries" adding Windows Media in Windows Media Center player.

So, I am absolutely delighted by the distance streaming media in Windows Media Player. I run a guitar shop, and it was really nice to have all of my music at home, on my desk, can be played in the store. As opposed to everything I hold on my laptop.

But the thing is that I run Windows Media Center on the TV, and all of my media that are on my laptop looks fantastic up there, covers of albums and video library and everything. But the thing is that I can not add the media that I'm streaming from remote media streaming option in Windows Media Center.

I can play media in Windows Media Player, and it will appear in Windows Media Center, but without album art. And I can not play videos in Windows Media Center unless I open them manually with Windows Media Center.

So basically, I ask if it is possible to add media in my "other libraries" using option of streaming WMP remote in the library in Windows Media Center?

Thank you much for the help!

    -Tazzlyn

If I understand what you're asking, you want to be able to use Internet in WMP
streaming between two places, but with the Media Center interface? You can not
    do this.

If you are using two computers on the same HOME, inside the media network
Center interface, you can add folders to the library from another computer.
