WINDOW VISTA BOUGHT ORIGINAL, NOW HE IS GONE. NEED TO RE INSTALL
2008, I bought a notebook HP compaq with windows Vista in the Middle East retail gaint LULU HYPERMARKETS. Actually they only gave me Windows cd they just installed only. Now, I've changed some programs etc etc and the Vista has disappeared from my computer. So I want to reload from your help. How can I do that. I have the invoice of retail with me.
Check if you have a restore hidden on the hard disk partition. Go to the website of HP support for your country (top right pull down):http://www.hp.com/#Support and see if you can find the manual for your model number.
If there is no recovery partition, and they haven't installed Vista, check if there is a sticker with the product key on the computer (Bootom of laptop / desktop case side).
Also called LULU HYPERMARKETS?
Never be afraid to ask. This forum has some of the best people in the world to help.

(Windows Vista Home Premium) 800b0100 error code when you try to install the two (KB978338) and (KB968389)
I tried all the recommended solutions that Windows can throw at me, and yet I still can't download these updates for some reason any. Whenever I run the program "Microsoft Fixit" he says it's a mistake and fixing it with success, but I still get the same error when you try to install the updates. I have checked for malware, scanning my computer everything and see nothing.

I would like to uninstall window vista home basic 32 bit on my right turn to install the new window and that already.i want to uninstall the vista of old window on my laptop.and I try many times impossible to uninstall vista.please help me.Please, help advice.thank.
You cannot uninstall a running operating system. The best you can do is wipe the hard drive and start over, but which will also remove all programs and documents.

Can we install windows vista 32 bit OS on a computer that is pre installed with windows 7 64-bit OS?

You cannot use recovery discs to install with, if not for the exact model computer that you install. You need a full installation detail of the model of Vista operating system you want to install since you don't downgrade your operating system to a system that offers no right of demotion. -
If I use at any time update in windows vista home premium upgrade to complete, I need a Windows Vista Ultimate key to activate too?. Please answer
Yes.
You will need to BUY a Vista Ultimate Upgrade product key/license disk
Windows Anytime Upgrade Vista is no longer available; which you always had to pay anyway...
Try to buy Vista Ultimate Upgrade online: newegg, amazon, etc.
Alternatively, try your local computer store.
This isn't for free.
See you soon.

Hello
You uninstall not she, you reinstall Vista on top of it
You have the Vista DVD, so do a clean install with it.
As Vista is pre-installed you will need probably not the Producr Key that is on the sticker on your laptop if you use of the manufacturer provided recovery disk
If you need it, insert the product key from the sticker on the laptop case
Boot from the Vista DVD and follow the instructions of the manufacturer.
Make sure that the CD / DVD Drive (optical drive) is the 1st in the boot order.
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
http://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/change-boot-order-XP-Vista/
If it's a DVD of Vista from Microsoft you have borrowed for use with your key. Here's how to do a clean install:

I sent files to the trash, and then I emptied the trash, and then realized that I only need/want these files, so I went to look for them, then screwed up everything while doing so somehow a shortcut on my desktop, then I put in the disc to reboot/reinstall the entire system windows vista... can we recover these items , or they are gone forever?
I don't know what kind to reinstall you did. If it was a repair/upgrade, you may be in better shape (fact he preserve your data and programs after the re - install - then you have made the right kind of re - install).
If you did a reinstall to repair/upgrade and if you have Vista Business, Vista Ultimate or Vista Enterprise, you can be lucky. They have so-called saves shadow copies, which are deleted or modified files that can be recovered in case changes/deletions made by mistake. http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Windows-Vista/features/shadow-copy.aspx more information about how to use this feature to: http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/howdoi/?p=145.
If you have Vista Basic or Premium of Vista, shadow copies is not available; However, there is an alternative that is free and the shadow copies feature called Shadow Explorer. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/recover-files-with-shadow-copies-on-any-version-of-windows-vista/. Although it will not help you this time, it could very well save you in case this happens again.
If this does not work, here are a few free recovery programs that might help (if you did a lot for the system, because the files have been deleted, then chances are that less as they might otherwise be - see notes below):
http://www.SnapFiles.com/freeware/system/fwdatarecovery.html (first try Recuva)
http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/DiskDigger.html
http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/easusdfr.html
http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/restoration.html
http://www.SnapFiles.com/downloads/Recuva/dlrecuva.html
http://www.SoftPerfect.com/products/FileRecovery/
http://techpaul.WordPress.com/2008/06/23/how-to-recover-your-lost-files/
The files are not really deleted until they are crushed (although they are no longer available through conventional methods). If you decide to try these recovery programs, you should stop using your drive hard immediately in order not to replace the data that you are trying to recover. He slave on another PC and launch the recovery of this PC. Even now you have definitely lost some of them if you use the same PC. If you can not do this (slave on another PC), you run the risk of overwriting the data with every action you do on the PC (but you may still be able to recover some or most or even all files - it's a matter of luck). The fact that you did a re - install is not good for what is successful, - but it's worth a try.
Only you can decide if the data is important enough to take the PC to an expert data recovery to recover files (they will have better programs and hardware to do that none of us do, and I've provided above). Do NOT go to the Geek Squad or one of these centers of store-, they generally don't know what they are doing - it take for expert data recovery. It will cost you a little and they generally offer no guarantees. The decision is yours.
Good luck and I hope this helps!

My grandson unintentionally (I think) installed my original disc of Widows Vista and apparently followed all the guests was, as all before today disappeared. How can I restore back to where was before this...
Hello
A System Restore Point does NOT restore to a previous operating system Installation.
This is misinformation.
You don't say how Vista has been reinstalled.
Looking for a windows.old folder and if you find one, see if you can save your data from it.
"How to restore your personal files after performing an installation of Windows Vista or Windows 7"
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/932912
If the above does not apply, you will need to use data recovery programs to recover your Date.

Inspiron Dell 1720 2.2 GHz, 2 GB ram, Win Vista ultimate SP2.
Cannot install all programs currently due to errors of windows install. I have tried scannow in cmd which seems to close automatically in less than a second to click on enter.I tried switching win installer services then in manual and automatic ('start' ed) with no ruling change ever to the problem. So now since I can't possibly find another solution, I'm doing a new installation of windows vista Home premium 32-bit which I did not have the keys. So the query. I would appreciate any comment how to solve this problem. Thanks in advance.Look at the product key shown on the label on the computer. Which edition of Windows is on the label? If the label says Home Premium Home Premium dvd is likely a recovery disk only. So if there is a recovery disk, so it can reinstall a new copy of Home Premium and all reset the status of the plant. You will lose your programs and data.
If the Premium family edition dvd is a dvd retail then you may be able to do a repair on-site modernization (aka ' install fix') of Vista Ultimate with it, but please answer these questions first.

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.
or
Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

Internet worked well until I reinstalled windows vista 64 bit on my Dell laptop, now my Internet does not work. Went into Device Manager and there is no network adapter. I tried to reinstall the driver that came with my laptop disk but it doesn't seem to work, says that I need an updated driver. I don't know what else to do, I have to install a new driver from the Internet? Ugh becomes very frustrated!
http://support.Dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=Gen
Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.
The computer you are using now if you have an Internet connection with the other > download / save drivers > copy them into Flash Drive > transfer / install on another computer/laptop.
See you soon.
