  • Can Portege 7200 CT - I install Windows Xp instead of Windows 2000?

    Hello

I have an old Portege 7200, Pentium III, 600 MHZ, RAM 320Mo.

I use Windows 2000, remains stable and running (you know, never touch a system running...)

However, due to new software that will work with Windows 2000 (Internet Explorer, anti-virus, software video / Cam and a little more) I need an OS-update. I have an old Windows XP-license (SP 2) and the idea of installing WinXP on this laptop.

The power system should be fine, however, I've not found anyone with WinXP on this laptop. Someone at - he live with that? It work? What I have to do a BIOS update? I have version 1.80 and found here in the care of the side a 2.0 zip file

Thanks a lot in advance - Andreas

    Hi Andreas,

Theoretically, you can install what you want on your laptop but I checked the Web from Toshiba site and it seems there are no XP driver for Portege 7200.
What does that mean? Well, you can install XP but if you the drivers you need to collect these external Web sites, such as Intel or Realtek drivers. Maybe you will find all the drivers that you need.

In my opinion the update of the BIOS should be one if it of necessary. This means that if the laptop works well, this update isn't necessary.

    I hope I could help a bit. :)

  • More older PowerEdge 2650 has been accepted, in the search of Windows 2000 Server to install.

Hello and thank you for reading this note.  First time poster here. Please excuse the bad post...

I was given a Dell PowerEdge 2650 (dual Xeon), which has been deleted.  There is a license sticker on top for Windows 2000 Server..., but this product is no longer available from Dell.  Technical support proposed contacting Microsoft about the availability of an installation CD.

I've been wandering the Microsoft site to research to find out where to contact (e-mail, phone, Mail US?) about this... and turn to this group for assistance.

    Who should I contact?

    Your time is appreciated.

    Hello

You can take a look at the link below. Product support you requested is completed. If you want a copy of the OS, I suggest to do a search on your browser to get a copy

  • Run the than SP1 2012 LabVIEW VI user on Windows 2000 machines created

The VI working on (on Windows XP) will have to be implemented on computers different 4: 3 with Windows XP SP3 and 1 with Windows 2000 SP4. This is a new program for us, so we bought LabVIEW 2012 SP1. This version of labview works on Windows XP, Vista, 7, & 8. The corresponding runtime engine runs on Windows XP, Vista, 7 &. As you can see, Windows 2000 is not listed here. I tried to build in an .exe file, but there are corresponding RTE. Is it possible for me to be able to run my VI on the Windows 2000 computer? (Of course, the upgrade of the OS would be a solution, but I would like to avoid this, if possible).

[I've been messing around with runtimes and the most recent version that could install has TENS of LabVIEW 2009 (no SP1) on the computer running Windows 2000, if that helps at all.]

    Dennis_Knutson wrote:
Build an exe for 2009 would require you to have a copy of LabVIEW 2009, end. I don't know if your 2012 license would even allow that and if you use some of the features, you will not be able to do the conversion down.

If you have a license for a version of LabVIEW, you can have every (Older) version installed as well.  You need an active SSP to upgrade well!

All the new features migrate at least 8.0 (you will get a bunch of warnings in guard and perhaps a very ugly code).

I would try to avoid support queues (or config file functions) over the limit of 8, 6-2009.  You may see some unexpected changes and prefomace hits.

  • Upgrading to Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000 Professional

Can I upgrade my current Windows 2000 Professional to Windows XP Professional? Is upgraded to Windows XP Professional license still available on the market?

Windows XP is no longer available on the market.

  • the upgrade from Windows 2000 to XP

I have an old computer running Windows 2000. I'll be upgrading to Windows XP. Because Windows XP is longer supported by Microsoft that I have to buy a new XP license or can I just install a copy that I already buy and installed on another computer.

You can not install a copy that is already used.
And you can not buy a new copy/license because XP is no longer sold.

  • I am YOA 70 and have used windows 2000 XP Prof. from the arch, too late to change. Not worried about support, this is the best OS ever. I have a copy of old 180-day evaluation. Can I use it or get another copy.

What I can tell, the problem is simple... The solution cannot be more simple!

"Can I use it or get another copy."

After the expiry of 180 days would be illegal to continue using it without a valid license, even using worarounds or reinstalling the operating system.

The windows 2000 and Windows XP are different products, but the answer is the same, they are abandoned products would be very difficult to buy a license. You can search the remaining stocks, would be not easy but possible to buy it.

    "best OS ever."

  • evo n610c windows 2000 usb controller drivers

Why the files on the website do not work? Support for USB on Windows 2000 contrroller seems to have disappeared. Is there a problem? My computer came with Windows 2000 but I have lost the discs. Is there some weird licensing issue?

I have it. Network drivers for Windows 2000 are in sp22996, it is simply a process of 2 steps (need Windows search for drivers in the extracted directory). And the USB controller for my evo n610c is NEC non Intel and not provided in the file of MS in chipset. Instead, Windows Update for Windows 2000 will find the drivers for the NEC USB controller.

  • F8 does not Windows 2000 Setup

Hello, just like the title reads above the key F8 does not work during the installation of windows 2000 on my vm. When he asks the user to press F8 to accept the license terms, nothing happens.

You must click the mouse in the Virtual Machine display so that it accepts entries to the keyboard.

On some laptops, if you are on a laptop computer, may also require one to press the fn key and the key F8 .

  • Compatibility issues with CS2 and Windows 2000 XP? This is supposed to be THE OS ON CS2 FONCTIONNE_ it? Can anyone help - I really need my CS2 back! Thank you.

Help! Years - SEVEN to be exact - I BOUGHT Adobe CS2 and widely used. Then, I was in an accident that took five years to recover from. After my recovery, I tried to return to the use of my Adobe products to see that Adobe is discouraging use of CS2 and because I HAVE a LICENSE and that was the LAST version, I used I wanted to start with a version that I know. Several months later, apparently I wasn't the only one who wanted to CONTINUE to USE CS2 and now Adobe has made it possible to download this version for PC and MAC, BUT because of operating system compatibility issues, Adobe continues to discourage the download and use. HERE's THE THING: I have the SAME SYSTEM running the SAME operating system as when I BOUGHT it first. I downloaded the SAME EXACT VERSION of CS2. He moved very well. But I can't OPEN the app and the Troubleshoot utility of the reports that there is "COMPATIBILITY ISSUES". WHY?!?!?!?!?

I'm on a PC running Windows 2000, XP. I OWN a LICENSE for Adobe CS2 and it allows to launch on this same machine. I had to reformat my system two years ago, so it has much more space, but when I try to OPEN the application, it won't work. When I run the troubleshooter in Windows it indicates system compatibility problems? Can someone tell me what to try now? Thank you.

Did you download and install the special version of CS2?  It's the only one, you will be able to use.

This is for Adobe Flash 11.2.202.235. The previous (current) version was apparently discovered to not be is not so sure.

Windows 2000 is no longer supported in current versions of Flash 11.
