Windows 2008 windows service cannot launch Adobe Reader
I created a windows service which receives the pdf files in a single folder and should display their opening adobe reader software. In my PC with Windows 7 it works fine, but when the application is deployed in Windows 2008 R2 server and then the windows service is not able to launch Adobe Reader.
I searched the Internet and found that it could be linked to the Session 0, which is used by the services.
I tried several solutions without success.
Thanks in advance for any assistance with this question

I get the error 'cannot use adobe reader to view PDFs in your web browser. Player will now stop. Please exit your browser and try again"in Windows 7 x 32 and Windows 7 x 64 with Acrobat pro 8.1.7. This occurs when you try to open a PDF file in Internet explore 8.0.760 or when I open a PDF file in Quickbooks 2008. If I answer ok or cancel, the file opens normally. If I open acrobat 8 first of all and then the pdf file opens as expected. I also tried a copy of Acrobat reader, with no difference in the result. Because this happens on two different computers a new copy of windows 7 x 64, the other, an upgrade to windows 7 x 32 and they used to work before moving to windows 7, I guess that there is some sort of incompatibility with windows 7 and acrobat. Is this a known problem and will be fixed in an update to acrobat in the near future?
For Windows 7 you will need Adobe Acrobat 9.1.

I updated to Windows 10 and then back to Windows 7. Now Adobe Reader does not work. He said: I'm missing acroread.msi. I tried to uninstall the program, so I could re - install, but it will not uninstall either lack of acroread.msi. Can anyone help? I tried all the troubleshooting steps that I could find in the forums and online without success.
I managed to fix it. I found the Mr. Fix It tool on the Microsoft Web site and who was running, and it worked. He fixed the corrupted registry file and allowed me to install the player. I had tried it once before, but it has not been successful. This time, it worked.

Hi, I get the error message following the launch CC15 attempt:
Cannot launch Adobe InDesign that you do not have sufficient permissions to access the preferences folders. Make sure that you have the appropriate permissions and then restart Adobe InDesign.
Any help appreciated as I passed the age trying to find a solution!
Hi André,.
It seems your preferences and cache files have not all permissions. There are two things you can do to solve this problem:
1. provide full access to the preferences and cache of InDesign files, more information on ERROR when you try to launch
2. or create a new user on your system admin and start InDesign from there.
Thank you

Installation and launch - Adobe Reader XI on Mac - no window program.
I installed and re-installed Adobe Reader XI on my computer and made sure it was the Mac client every time, but at the launch of the application to my applications folder, it starts the program, but the program does nothing. He has been active in my taskbar, but it has no windows, and whenever I go to check; Adobe Reader file, edit, view, window, and help. All actions are grayed out, and I find myself unable to do anything whatsoever. I have been unable to fall on reports of similar problems, and I do not meet the system requirements so that the application running.
What should I do?
What happens when you try to open a PDF file in Adobe Reader as the PDF file in your downloads folder named "Downloads.pdf"? Just do drag on top of Adobe Reader and see what happens.
