  As all your PDF documents are now appear as a word file, please right-click on any PDF file icon and choose ' open with... > choose default program > Adobe Acrobat XI "and click OK.

  This will open the PDF with Acrobat files only and not Word.

  Then, you can try to convert PDF into word via Adobe Reader.

  I first bought a Satellite A500 with 4 GB of RAM there are a little over 3 months with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium installed. Initially, I got the original dramas with finding drivers 64-bit etc., then it ran OK for a while. After about 2 & a half months I started having BSOD with error message related to a nvidia .sys file. After a few weeks of this, update the latest drivers etc and a number of unsuccessful attempts to diagnose the problem, it's that occur whenever I used the laptop and up he took the touchpad died as well.   I a500 and run Windows Ultimate 64-bit, it's best to run 64-bit to 32-bit windows. You must copy of 64-bit Windows to install, it is not big problem to get it. All the drivers you can find on the Toshiba driver page:

  Windows 7 32-bit is hardcoded only address 4 GB of TOTAL memory. If you have 4 GB of RAM and 1 GB of video RAM, your video card gets 1 GB which means now Windows has only 3 GB of memory left to address (even if you have 4 GB of free RAM). The other 0,47 GB is probably reserved for other hardware components (or buffer just as your reserved chipset). You can actually dig into the Device Manager and (with a little math) understand exactly the amount of memory is reserved for each component.   EAP is a feature that allows to address more than 4 GB of memory with 32 - bit. I * think * Win7 32-bit installs the core EAP (ntkrnlpa.exe and ntkrpamp.exe in c:\windows\system32) because it has other features for newer processors, but even the PAE-enabled kernel is still hardcoded to a 4 GB max memory addressable (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_Address_Extension#Microsoft_Windows). So I would say that the patch is trying to hack in and remove the 4 GB limit so that you can fully use EAP to address more than 4 GB. Aside from possibly violate the windows license agreement, you won't see any problems. Or you might eventually see some of the problems that Mark Russinovich describes as possible when the client systems use EAP for > 4 GB:

  What they find is that many systems would crash, hang or be initialized because some device drivers, usually those for video and audio devices that are found generally on clients, but no servers, no were not programmed to wait physics treats more than 4 GB.   1. click on Start Menu

  2. right click on COMPUTER.

  3. choose MANAGE

  4. go into Services and Applications. Select Services

  5 get down to print spooler. Stop and restart.

  If it does not help the Solution Center reappear, try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers and full software features.

  Recently, my Dell XPS M1530 (Windows Vista 32-bit) has been extinguished during the execution of the system updates (we had a power outage during the night and I didn't) and would only start in safe mode. I moved all my documents on a portable HARD drive and reinstalled the operating system to try to save the computer.

  After I did that and reinstalled the drivers (downloaded from the Dell site via my system identification label), I started to load my programs on it (Adobe, Microsoft Office, etc.). After I install a program and exit the installation window, Vista stops responding. I can't click on the Start button (the mouse will go over it, but it does not allow me to select) or one of the other button I have in my toolbar. I can't click anything in the Dock of Dell at the top of my screen, either.

  The only way to turn off the computer must press and hold the Power button until the laptop turns off. I HATE doing this, but there is no other way to turn it off once a program has been installed.

  Any thoughts on what is happening here? I hope this is just some kind of error on my part - I can't afford to get a new machine. I wanted to upgrade to Windows 7 (my machine can handle), but I don't want the same problem occurs.

  The drivers of Toshiba laptops are a bit different and not the same thing as the drivers from the manufacturer of the graphics card.

  Yes almost all games in 10 years works perfectly on 64-bit Windows.  What Call of Duty games are you having problems with?  If the first two, you might have to enter the video drivers for your graphics card/computer manufacturer as the first two required OpenGL which is not included with the drivers that Windows uses by default (this has been the case since at least Windows XP).

• Windows 7 64 bit, I can't find the content of the pdf file.
