Windows 7 64 bit home

I bought the laptop with windows 7 Home. It is 64 bit, but my software is 32-bit. How can I change the windows 7 to 32-bit home.

Almost all of the 32-bit software will run on a PC running Windows 7 64 bit with a built-in "emulator".

There are some programs that don't work (especially some device drivers). Check the Web site of the manufacturer of software/hardware for details of compatibility or:

http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/

You cannot change the Windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit form (or vice versa) without formatting your hard drive and install the new version required.

Only full retail of Windows 7 products come with both the 32 & 64-Bit installation DVD. If you have a version of Windows 7 OEM which is preinstalled on your laptop, you will only have the version that came pre-installed.

  • Windows Vista 64-bit Home Premium operating systems disks

I bought my laptop with Windows Vista 64-bit Home Premium installed on it.  I've since upgraded to Windows 7.  Unfortunately, there are a few programs that will not work under Windows 7 little matter what I do.

So, I would try to run a virtual Windows Vista system.  The problem is that I can't find my disk with the operating system of Windows Vista 64-bit Home Premium on it.

Download the Windows Vista 64-bit Home Premium operating system so that I can burn a disc for a back-up or I can order a drive with the OS on it?

    Thank you!

You can not upgrade to Windows 7, and then use the Vista OS you used as part of the upgrade to install another (even virtual).

There is no Vista free download legal available.

And Microsoft provide no DVD for computers of the brand OEM (Dell, HP, etc).

Borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

    Hello

Assuming you mean the Windows Advanced System Settings screen, then right click on my computer and choose Properties.  On the left side of the screen, you will see a link for the advanced system settings.

You can also call directly my pressing the windows and R key (which will bring up the Run dialog box) and typing in control sysdm.cpl

I would like to know how you, or if you want to say something else.

  • Patch authentication LEAP Cisco space required for Windows 7 64 bit Home Edition

    Hi all:

I tried both Vista Business 32-bit PC and Windows 7 Home edition 64 bit for Cisco LEAP Authentication. The result is that Vista Bz PC can have authentication option Cisco LEAP under wireless security option, Windows 7 Home Edition 64 bit does not. After select, it works with the authentication LEAP of Cisco AP1041N.

May I know that Cisco can provide the patch driver file for authentication on Windows 7 64 bit home edition LEAP so that I can make authentication wireless on Cisco AP1041N?

Or any body knows a way to get this Windows 7 64 bit home edition to work with authentication with Cisco AP1041N LEAP?

Many thanks in advance and best regards,

    tangsuan

    Tang,

It seems that you can not use jump unless u install intel proset "supplicant" that supports only the drivers intel.

    CHECH the link

    http://www.SevenForums.com/network-sharing/3084-security-wireless-Cisco-leap.html

So it seems that give u the option for Cisco leap in windows vista is a software provided by intel. Microsoft or Cisco.

If you have intel driver u better contact intel if you want jump built in. If not then I don't know if anything will make leap to work built into windows. You need a global independent "supplicant".

  • DVD won't play in Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium Media Center.

I tried many DVDs in my Windows 7, 64-bit Home Premium system, and none of them will play in the Media Center, with the exception of a 1955 film that plays without problem. I guess it was a good year. In the lower right corner of the Media Center, a window says: "Play DVD - Windows Media Center cannot detect a video DVD in the DVD - Rom drive. Insert a video DVD in the drive." Apparently, the DVD is not detected. What is a missing codec problem? I read about downloading the Codec of the user, only to cause more problems, and I did a lot of searching for an answer to this and found a countless number of users having problems with DVD in Media Center and no collective solution. How can it be this difficult? What is the problem with Windows 7? Why can I play a DVD of a film of 1955 (Mr. Roberts) and not of today's movies? The only solution that I come up with to this day, even after checking with the maufacturer of my optical drive, should consider buying the codec itself, if that is what is lacking, or a DVD player to possibly of Roxio. But after the piece of hugh of money I paid for my software Windows 7, I would not have bought anything others of another company. I wouldn't think to go back to XP, but I've had far fewer problems. Any help would be appreciated. Don

Hi Mary - thank you very much for your answer. My PC is a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop computer. I just got the phone is turned off after a few hours of troubleshooting with Dell hardware and software services. Dell is sending a technician to replace my optical drive. They hope that clears the problem, but if not, they say that I might have to reinstall Windows 7. This is happening due to your pointing me in the right direction with your post, and troubleshooting I could do before, I called Dell. I had different problems for a while, and maybe they'll finally get fixed. Thanks again, Don Don

  • 650 HP laptop with Windows 7 32 bit Home premium RAM problem

    Hello.

I recently purchase a new HP650 notebook that came with Windows 8.  I have this wiped and reinstalled windows 7 32 bit edition Home premium and downloaded all the drivers/software relevant on the HP site.

However, the machine is supplied with 4 GB of RAM, including the BIOS see' good sas.  Windows 7 recognizes that 4 GB but it says that only 969 MB is usable.

There is nothing of configurable in BIOS for the use of video memory or information about the reserved addresses.

I am aware that 32 bits will use about 3.5 GB but wow can get this machine to use all 3.5 GB?

    Any advice would be apreciated.

    Thank you very much

    James

    Hello

I suggest that you uninstall the Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit) and switch on Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) version to treat memory problems.

The Microsoft Windows 7 activation key on the certificate of authenticity you have for the 32-bit version will work with the 64-bit operating system. The caveats are that you can have only a single installation active with the license key at a time and you must have an installed processor that is capable of 64-bit OS.  You will find that the 64-bit version is far superior to the 32-bit version for stability. Of course, there is the increased ability to recognize more memory installed up to limits of the motherboard.

You can download the 64-bit here. The drivers are available on the support portal web for your mobile in the section download.

Hi Mike I finally found a program that works with the Sidewinder wheel and Vista, it is only a small program, but it allows you to program all buttons on any controller.

I'll post a link here little time if you want me too, that way another person might benefit from also

    http://www.deinmeister.de/JCT.htm

It's all in German I think lol, but it's pretty easy to get out. Just run the program with your gamepad or steering wheel plugged in and press a button and watch the program, if button 1 is pressed then follow him up to the line upward with an empty square (left) and then click on the empty box (you will be asked for a key on the keyboard) press the key that you want to work with the key #1.

Then to activate the button make sure you click area is pressed next to the inline box keys with line #1-si someone can not understand my instructions, they can send me an email and I'll send them back with pictures that explain it better

  • Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium VS Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

    Hello

Can someone please help with my post... According to Wikipedia, Windows 7 Home Premium supports 1

"Physical CPU" so Windows 7 Professional takes in charge 2 "physical CPU.

-What does this mean in terms of performance, speed and execution of programmes in these two versions of Windows?

I installed both versions on a quad core processor and have not noticed any benefit with the speed and performance.

So if someone can give me accurate answers, that would be greatly appreciated. :)

I read this article, but there is no help because my system properties screen is different from the one indicated in the foregoing article above. Help, please.

OK, I downloaded the 'User Guide' of the GoFlex Home Network Storage System (for the model 2 GB is the name of the model "STAM2000200").

But how can read - this 'storage system' has only the 'LAN connetion' connect with computer and for the data store. And if you connect through this 'storage system' "'connection to the local network ' it is impossible to make the defragmetation by the tools of the operating system. "

Your writing on the USB connector - this USB connector is type - it is impossible to use this connector to connect with the computer.  It's only for the connection to another storage device or centralized printer - more on this subject is in the user guide:

Now when I try to load I get this error that it is not compatible, I tried to load the service pack 1 that is necessary. I run Windows update and it says service pack is installed successfully, but it is not. Any ideas? THX

    Hello

Click Start > right click on computer > left click on properties > see if you have Vista 32 bit or Vista 64-bit installed.

It will also tell you which SP you have installed.

Then, choose the download of 'bit' OK to use to install Service Packs, installation of SP1 first if it is not already installed.

  • How to find my wpa Windows vista 34 bit home address?

I had to reload the drivers for my hp officejet pro 8500 printer.  It was connected to my home network that is secure.  He wants to know my WPA address.  Where can I find that?  I have Windows Vista Home 34 bits.

    Hello

Do you mean the key to WPA encryption?

If you're lucky, it could be on a label on your router access point / wireless.

If this isn't the case, you must query your access point/router admin pages to find out what it is.

To help others, we will need to know the brand and model of your router / wireless access point. Please do the following...

    • Click Start
    • Click on run
    • Type cmd and press enter
    • In the black window that result, type ipconfig and return success
    • Transcribe the results of your next answer in this thread

Furthermore, your printer can still be attributed with the WPA key, ask your printer 8500 via its Panel and look for the network settings. There may even be an option "print network settings page.

  • How to solve the problem with Windows Update on Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium SP1; Module Windows install encounter error 126, impossible to run/scannow sfs or TrustedInstaller. Help, please

    Hello

First of all, thank you in advance for any advice for any help, you can offer.

A week ago I noticed that Windows Update had a backlog of updates (30-40) as I had it value updates but let me choose whether to install them. As I tried to install, I noticed download election for hours but no visible progress in the taskbar and only a few updates installed on restart. Try to check the updates of similar results. I tried a number of solutions suggested here as a tool for troubleshooting Windows Update, but it made that seem to clear my list of updates to uninstall and make sure Windows Update has been under the impression that I had never checked the updates, apparently a worsening of the problem like today no update appeared and I encountered error 8007000D.

I've tried other options like Windows system update readiness tool and tried to run the sfc/scannow System File Checker, but what who would not (cannot start service repair) I grew more and more worried. On recommendation from other forums, I tried also to start TrustedInstaller in command prompt, which does not. Unfortunately, I had run a Disk Defrag and clean-up recently which had been deleted and (unbeknownst to me) my last restore point. The root of the problem seems to be the Windows Modules Installer, which does not start when you are prompted in Services (error 126), something wrong with the registry may. So reluctantly, I tried to perform a repair installation using a downloaded iso, I burned onto a DVD (insured was also Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit SP1). However, even if it doesn't seem to work, it is constantly check for installation updates (unless this is supposed to last several hours?) or if I opt not not to check, it pass the compatibility check and then fail in the second stage (collection of files, settings, and programs). I tried several times, once in offline mode with my disabled (Norton) antivirus and once in clean boot mode.

I don't know what other options I have. I would like to avoid a clean as much as possible installation, because my computer (HP laptop) still seems to operate normally (for the moment) outside the impossibility to install Windows updates (via Windows Update or directly from Microsoft, it seems), but I think it would just leave vulnerable more and more over time. Has anyone else had similar problems and has found a way to solve? I'm not a computer expert so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Try the troubleshooting steps in this link: error message when you start the service installer of Modules of Windows (TrustedInstaller): "system error 126: the specific module could not be found".

Let us know how it goes.
