Windows 7 64-bit professional management console disc error

OK, I just tried to do an Assembly of 2 partitions on (thankfully) backup of hard drive to make it a player. He appears in the disk management console, but not in the window of the computer.

I get the error message "Disk management console view not updated" with of course the usual instructions to hit refresh, out and back in or restart the computer, not of these options that work there.

I'm just using the normal system which is outside the operating system and not all programs I've seen mentioned in other issues of the same problem.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Thank you

Natasha.

Hello Natasha,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand you have questions after the merger of two partitions of the hard disk. Then, please follow the following suggestions to solve the problem.

You can try to change the drive letter and see if that helps fix the problem.

Change, add, or remove a drive letter

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/change-add-remove-drive-letter

Note: Some programs make reference to specific drive letters. If you change a drive letter, it could be that these programs do not work correctly. If you get an error, the drive you are trying to change may be in use. Close a program or window that uses the disk and try again. You cannot change a drive letter if the drive is a system partition or a boot partition.

If the above does not help then, I suggest to follow the link below and follow the steps in to solve the problem.

A disk partition that was created just before the system crash or power failure may not be formatted or used

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2539626/en-us

Additional information:

Simple volumes may become inaccessible if a failure occurs shortly after creation

I hope this helps. Otherwise, feel free to write us again and we will be happy to help you.

Thank you

Dear lasvegaswireman thank you very much for your answer. Last day I contacted the HP support team and I got the resolution, Compaq 15-s001TU comes with pre loaded back free. If you want to upgrade to windows 8, I believe that you will find no difficulty in finding the drivers for the HP product support page. But in the case of windows 7, you will not get the driver LAN, Wifi and Bluetooth page main media because HP made this model to be worked with windows 8. They provide generic drivers for above mentioned drivers missing. First of all let me dissect the details of manufactured goods of chipset for this model which is not mentioned in anywhere (not even in the catalogue).

  • Minimum system requirements to run Windows XP 64 - bit professional

My computer is able to run Windows XP 64 - bit professional? Its a Dell Dimension 9100.

    Hey Brennan,

Please contact Support technique Dell http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/ with this issue.  If you use the Service tag or Express Service Code number number you should be able to ID your computer exactly (at least it was at the time of purchase).

If you don't find the information yourself, use the other options such as contact us or forums, or anything that seems most appropriate (as some costs and others take more time and others just guide you).

    Good luck!

    Kosh

P.S. If you have changed anything of what has been installed originally, let them know because they will decide on the basis of information they have and won't know what you've done since then (as replaced the hard drive or other) which may affect the result.  If the answer is no, then try to find out what exactly prevents it as it can be the purchase of a component or a lot too - but it's better to know where you stand.

(64-bit capable) 32 bit Vista Home Premium... I can do a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit professional?... from a flash drive?... to change the boot order?... or at all?

    Hello

That's right; with Vista Home Premiun upgrade paths are for Windows 7 Home Premium or Ultimate.

It is one of the reasons why you should do a clean install.

The other reason is that you can NOT put 32-bit to 64-bit.

You need a clean install to do.

Follow these steps before you install or buy Windows 7:

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

  • Windows 7 64-bit clean installation failure. Error code: 0 x 80070017

    Hello

I'm having hard to install Windows 7 64 bit on my desk that I had built two days ago. They do not have install my OS. they just put everything together. I go home, turn on the computer, start Windows and right in the middle of installation (file extension), the outage. I start the computer and start the installation, and after Windows copies the necessary files to develop, this error message appears: Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupted or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0 x 80070017. I looked at the answers related to this error code, but none seem to fit my situation. The operating system I have is an OEM System Builder Pack, which has a copy of Windows 7 64-bit. Anyone know what I can do? I hope that I have not buy another OS, because one I have is bad.

I had the same problem installing my win 7 pro 64-bit, had the same error code, retried a couple of times and was stuck to the expansion of the files windows to 72% the most. I was trying to intall with RAID, I abandoned, reinstalled windows XP home and pulled out one of the reader, here I reformatted the drive with windows XP that was ready to be installed, after the successful installation of XP, I then installed windows 7 and failed 2 times before expanding windows files is passed to 100% after it past this 2nd line in installation everything went well. You may need to make some changes in the configuration of the BIO.

    Good luck

    Hello

First of all, please make sure that you use the following Setup program, with the sam file name and size:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=Al-75052-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=4063&product=441125&sw_lang=

On the start menu click folder in the search bar and open the temp folder listed.

Select all the files in this folder and delete them, then the trash emprty (these are all temporary files, it is safe to remove).

If some files cannot be deletions ignore these files... as soon as there is any remaining files, but there are several remining files you are fine.

Then try to run the Setup file again and check any change.

If it persists, open the folder %Temp%, and then open the HP installation folder that begins with 7z.

Open the Util folder then the CCC folder.

Run the Uninstall_L4.bat file. If nothing appears only a CMD dialog box after a few sewconds click Enter and follow the uninstall by confirming one of these... more complete uninstallation, restart your PC as required and try to reinstall the software.

If the same phenomenon happens again, try this tool and check if this can help, following

If the issue still run Windows Update and make sure that you are fully up to date of tp and there is no update available, check for the difference.

  • I can see is more devices in Windows 7 64 bit device manager

I just got a laptop (2.67 GHz quad core i7).  It had Windows 7 Pro 64 bit responsible.  I tried to clean up some unwanted 'free' software.  When I went to the Device Manager to check on a device, nothing was in the window.  There are no hidden devices.   Everything seems to work, but I don't see all the devices in the window.

    Hello

What is the brand and model of the computer?

When you open Device Manager, no devices appear in the list. Instead, a blank window appears.

This problem occurs if the Plug-and-Play service has been disabled (disabled).

    Method 1:

To resolve this problem, set the startup type for Plug-and-Play on automatic. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start and run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

    b. double-click Plug-and-Play. If you receive a Configuration Manager message, click OK.

    c. in the Startup Type list, click Automatic, and thenOK.

    d. close Services.

    e. restart the computer.

    Method 2:

The other reason, Device Manager may be empty is because there are some security issues with the registry key.

Note: serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Back-up-the-registry

    a. click on start-> Run-> type regedit.exe.

    b. search for the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum

    c. now right-click on Enum and click Permissions.

    d. click on the Add button and type everyone, and then click OK. Check the box allow next to the reading for everyone. Now click on add and enter the system. Check the box allow next to the read and full control to the system.

    e. the two check boxes under allow must be selected when you highlight the system. Also be sure to click on the Advanced button after adding the two users and select Reset entry permission on all child objects with the entries displayed here and that apply to child objects. Click OK.

    f. restart your computer now and check if the problem persists.

    Method 3:

Perform a SFC scan on your computer. Consult the following link:

  • Corrupted Movie Maker in Windows 7 32 bit Home Premium, associated with error, and I can't find the files manually to use, uninstall or remove.

I had Windows Live Essentials Movie Maker installed on my system at some point, but then I continued to see live pop up in the Task Manager and no matter how many times I killed him, he always came back even though I was not using the program, so I uninstalled Windows Essentials 2012 to stop this, and it kept popping up , so I went into the system and manually delete anything with Windows Live in the name of via Explorer and then a bit in the registry. He solved the problem, however, now I would once again use Movie Maker, and then I'm gone on the download site to download Movie Maker, thinking this would reinstall it and I'd be set (other than to have to look at consume resources when closed). I tried to get just Movie Maker, but the windows site told me that I had already installed (I can't find something that he mentions just anywhere), so I found another download Movie Maker, an earlier version, which has installed, but did not have the features that I need, so I uninstalled it, so I thought I would setup the whole Windows/Windows Live Essentials 2012 thinking that can replace bad Windows files detected as a facility, but he did not, he just installed anything ELSE in the software suite and I still haven't Movie Maker. He gave me this error (error: 0 x 80280007) when I tried to redo the installation:

Very well, dandy, I'm happy to do, except that I can't FIND it to uninstall, and it is not in programs and features (uninstall or change a program list). Thus, two options. can someone tell me how to

    1. Movie Maker WORK, tell me where it is and how to start (there is not in Program Files at all).

2 tell me how to remove completely ANY TRACE of all Windows Live Essentials 2012 so I can do a fresh install of it that works.

I went to the support conversation Windows and asked how to remove traces of Movie maker, and the tech told me to do:

    del \"%SystemRoot%\system32\dllcache\wmm.dll\".
    del \"%SystemRoot%\system32\dllcache\moviemk.exe\".
    del \"%ProgramFiles%\Movie Maker\. \ »
    rmdir /s \"%ProgramFiles%\Movie Maker\.

But the thing is, none of those that exist to remove, and so I don't think he really UNDERSTOOD what is my problem (more, it hung up). I didn't run them, it seemed useless.

Alternative: Point Me in the direction of another free software that works as a Movie Maker program. I don't like that makes the software, I just need to put a bunch of short video clips together in a longer video.

In case anyone cares, it's corrected now. I had to do a repair installation to fix but. Finally, here's what worked:
