Minimum system requirements to run Windows XP 64 - bit professional
Original title: System requirements
My computer is able to run Windows XP 64 - bit professional? Its a Dell Dimension 9100.
Hey Brennan,
Please contact Support technique Dell http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/ with this issue. If you use the Service tag or Express Service Code number number you should be able to ID your computer exactly (at least it was at the time of purchase).
If you don't find the information yourself, use the other options such as contact us or forums, or anything that seems most appropriate (as some costs and others take more time and others just guide you).
Good luck!
Kosh
P.S. If you have changed anything of what has been installed originally, let them know because they will decide on the basis of information they have and won't know what you've done since then (as replaced the hard drive or other) which may affect the result. If the answer is no, then try to find out what exactly prevents it as it can be the purchase of a component or a lot too - but it's better to know where you stand.

What is the minimum memory required to run Windows 7 Ultimate?
I am considering buying a HP Netbook with processor N455, 1 GB of RAM and 250 GB HDD. It comes with Windows 7 Starter Edition, I want to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate. How the 1 GB of RAM will manage Ultimate? Although I prefer the ultimate features, I'd be wiser upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium for better performance?

Cannot run windows 7 64 bit, but the computer is capable.
I ordered the online download of windows 7 64 bit by accident. My computer is capable of running windows 7 64-bit, however, I'm currently running vista 32 bit. Is there a way can I return my order online for the 32 bit, or do I have to download the 64-bit version and has two operating systems on my computer?

dx2400: my computer run Windows 7, 64-bit?
My Compaq dx2400 is running Vista Business. It has an Intel Pentium E2180 processor. Profile Belarc Advisor "64-bit ready" appears in the section processer. The E2180 Intel specs show that it uses a 64-bit instruction set. In the part of Advanced Technologies of the plug, on the line that reads Intel 64, there is a green "showing the button 'Yes. ' Does this mean that it would be possible for me to run Windows 7 64 bit on this machine?
Of the form that saw it can run only 32-bit.
