Windows 7 Applications crashes

Hi all.

I had a weird problem and wish you have an explanation for me! I work in an environment where my clients on a domain server and have their own profile on the machine according to which Ministry they are. I rebooted the laptop twice, as I loaded the profile on 3 different machines (1 desktop and 2 laptop) I get the same question on all machines, using different build sticks. When I login with my profile on a machine, I have the same problem. But it only seems to happen at the reception of customers? What is the network? But we have tested who as well.

The question is, when working on the machine, all applications open freezes, but the strange thing is the slider moves and can open new applications, such as when opening a new application applicaions behind the new application blocks? Also weird that happens when you move the slider on the applications that hangs on the taskbar it brocures it?

As I said, it's fresh is based on different machines.

also, all drivers are up to date of tp and the reiostry is not a problem if I can put it like that.

It happens randomly, maybe 10 minutes after loggin and sometimes after 5 hours after loging in.

If any of you have lived before?

Is there any solution for this?

Please let me know!

Thanks ;)

Hi Marto,

As you work in the domain environment, I wish that you post your question in the TecNet forums for help on this issue.

  • My Windows 10 computer crashed, and all applications have been lost.  I'm about to re - install LR6 (standalone, no CC).  I think that both facilities are allowed.  Can I get the meter re - assign once my reinstalling?  Thank you.  Jim

    Hello, my Windows 10 computer crashed, and I had to start again, allow a reinstallation of the operating system complete with all my apps being deleted from the machine.  One of these applications was LR6 (independent, no CC).  In my view, LR6 allows two installations of the software by license, so I am writing to ask that the 'meter' installation reset 'one' when I'm done with this installation.    I would never need the re-install second, but given the instability of the operating system, it may be necessary... Thank you.

  • CanvasClear causes the application crash

    I use a simple rectangular control canvas with movement indicator (Vshape) that displays the currently measured value.

    The value is updated 10 to 14 times per second, and deliberately, I made these values fluctuate.

    The canvas is filled with gradient colors (5 ranges) and the indicator moves upwards or downwards. In order to redraw the indicator,

    I use CanvasClear with the VAL_ENTIRE_OBJECT attribute and then redraws its content.  A few days ago, I noticed,

    that the software crashed, when the Panel containing the canvas control, was behind another window (belonging to an another SW

    tell the programmers Notepad or msword). I was able to reproduce the crash, which occurred immediately, but

    After that the software worked anywhere from 0.5 to 5 hours and the questionable control was behind another window.

    I also have seen, before the accident, if I move the window covering away from the canvas control, rectangle covered

    becomes black (break in non-se mode, it remains white) and it takes several seconds to redraw the partial region.

    Sometimes I noticed irregular elements (a diagonal line, not planned, from the left corner down to the right).

    Labwindows2010 IDE always shows crash-point as a call to CanvasClear().

    None of the functions, manipulating the canvas control, the return of negative values, because the software checks to see if it and if found newspapers a

    appropriate message. The canvas control has to draw political as mark for update.

    Does anyone has an idea how to everyone such instability or how to solve this problem?

    I was also able to capture the call stack and dismantling:

    Sorry for the delay in response. I followed a red herring for a few hours when troubleshooting this. It turns out that this could have been resolved much more quickly using the resource followed in CVI. If you have the full development system, you can change the compiler Options > debug to cabins lying level and then open the window > Resource Tracking. This will show you all the memory and handles your code currently open. It will appear when the elements are created, changed, or destroyed. Looking at it when your application is running (you need to suspend execution at a breakpoint to see the tracking of resources), you will see that the program continues to create plots that belong to the curve of the COLORSCALE. It is your intensity graph. If you look at using the function for PlotIntensity, he recalled in a note that a new trace is created every time that you call this function, and you want to get rid of these plots with DeleteGraphPlot.

    You can add something like this in InitScaleData.

    if(plotHandle != 0)
    {
            DeleteGraphPlot (IndicatorPanel(0), IND_COMP_COLORSCALE, plotHandle, VAL_DELAYED_DRAW);
    }
    plotHandle = PlotIntensity (IndicatorPanel(0), IND_COMP_COLORSCALE, scaleArray, 2, OGL_SCHEME, VAL_DOUBLE, gColorMap,gColorMap[OGL_SCHEME-1].color, OGL_SCHEME, 1, 1);

    I don't think you run necessarily in a memory problem here throwing the parcels. Intensity plots use rather a small number of GDI handles. In Windows Vista and 7, the number of GDI handles is limited to 10,000 by a Windows registry key. I look at the number of open GDI handles in the process Explorer reveals that 10000 handles were open when the application crashed on my system after about 45 minutes of execution.

    Let me know if it works if you have a chance to try this solution.

  • Call any thread DLLs the application crashes

    I have a built in 2015-labview application that acquires spectra of 6 spectrometers via an external dll. The dll triggers an event in labview when data is ready to be pulled from the spectrometers. Since this event, I am running a reentry no void / vi which contains a node function to retrieve the data, that are configured to run in any thread, as it gives a drastic improvement of performance as apposed to run in the UI thread.

    However this can slow down the application crash with a message from windows like the following journal:

    Name of the failing application: axiom 2.0.exe, version: 1.0.0.82, time stamp: 0x5581a6b7

    Report ID: 7d4ef3a8-8a91-11e5-94e9-90b11c894ef8

    I don't know if the dll is said to be thread safe or not. Also I do not understand how this causes a problem anyway since it is the only node that accesses the dll at the time, and each of the 6 spectrometers are interviewed in order?

    Is there anyway that I can still enjoy the benefits that the call of any thread dll provides without causing my application crash.

    An example of the increase in performance, it's that I can query the spectrometer from 6 to 70-80 Hz when configured to run in any thread, as opposed to a simple 10 Hz when the Run value in the UI thread.

    Thank you

    Looks like that the DLL is not thread-safe. If you do not run in the UI thread, there is no guarantee that the DLL will be always called from the same thread, even if you only call it in one no reentrante Subvi. By default, LabVIEW allocates multiple threads by the enforcement system, with the exception of the user interface. If the DLL stores certain information of one call to the other, this context can be lost when run in a different thread.

    Here's a thread that provides two possible solutions; a wrapper DLL is required, use the other the utility 'threadconfig' (or the corresponding INI file settings) to force a subsystem of a thread executing unique http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Force-DLLs-to-tun-in-the-same-thread-expect-the-UI-Thread/td-p/11438...

    Another option would be to put the call to the DLL in a timed loop that runs constantly, and you can use a queue or the notifier to pass data to. A timed loop runs in a single dedicated thread, so I think it will work.

    If I look at the properties of the de...\System32\wuaueng.dll I have the most recent version for XP (7.6.7600.256).

    I know that the support for XP will end this year, but I want to Microsoft Update to work down there.

    Any help appreciated. Thank you

    You are welcome.

    How about that.  Don't you love it when a plan comes together?  Windows updates only or material for pilots also and then update windows is good, but for a more broad ability of other applications Microsoft, then Microsoft Update and Office update is good for a shopping for updates of every Microsoft product you have.

    You suppose wrongly, and I thought I answered this before.  Technically, you can re-enable the automatic updates but that will require you disabling updates every Monday just before black Tuesday and then manually download and install the cumulative security update newly released and restart before you activate the updates automatic (or notifications only) once more.  It is more reliable just disable automatic updates and do not have the headache.  Disable the horse of notification that is displayed in the status bar, and that you don't mind.

    Please mark this thread as a response.  Thank you.

    To not argue the point, but XP users required the kind of brilliant 'support' who gave XP since the time of the IE7 to IE8 'false upgrade' users XP need like a hole in the head.

    Hi Sam,

    Do you remember what makes any agreement, changes this question?

    Method 1: Run the fixit available in the links below and check if that makes a difference-Worth to try
    Difficulty of broken desktop shortcuts and common system maintenance tasks

    Note: FixIt would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular area.

    Method 2: If a Protection of resources Windows (WRP) file is missing or is damaged, Windows may not behave as expected. Auditor of file system (CFS) scan to fix all of the corrupted system files. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below:

    How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    Method 3:  Put the computer to boot and then check if the problem persists

    Follow step 1 in the link below,
    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

    Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

    After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

    I'll probably reinstall the stuff Google and see if they were the culprit. I suspect that the FTP program is more to blame. It works with XP. But once installed does not appear in the Explorer window. When I have the time.

In general seems to happen when I am clicking on my files. When I try to rename a file or folder, then it happens a lot. Less when the opening everything.

    I'm using a relatively old Samsung laptop. Probably had around ish 2009. Don't know what other info can be useful. Let me know and I'll do my best to find out.

    I did not do anything to try to remedy the situation that I didn't know what to do. Any ideas?

    Thanks for the help

    To solve most computer problems, it allows to watch the evidence available in the system information file and Event Viewer logs. An experienced eye can choose needles in a haystack and see more clearly the precise nature of the problem or problems.

    Please provide a copy of your system information file. Type the system information in the search box above the Start button and press the ENTER key (alternative is select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, system information). Select file, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. Not to place the cursor in the body of the report before exporting the file. The system creates a new information file system each time system information is available. You must allow a minute or two before the file is completely filled before exporting a copy. Please download to your OneDrive (formerly Sky Drive), share with everyone and post a link here. Normal mode preferred report. Please say if the report was obtained in safe mode.

    Please download and share with everybody fresh copies of your System and your event viewer on your Player Application logs One (formerly Sky Drive) and post a link here. You can delete the earlier copy of your OneDrive records.

    To access the system, log, select Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, Event Viewer, in the list on the left of the window, expand Windows logs and select System. Place the cursor on the system, select the Action in the Menu and record all events like (the evtx default file type) and give a name to the file. Do the same for the application log. Do not offer not filtered files. Do not place the cursor in the list of reports before selecting the Action from the menu. Do not clear the logs so that you have a persistent problem.

  • Several applications crashing with Faulting Module "StackHash_"... »

    Hi, I'm new and this is my first post.

    I'm in this nightmare for several months, any help would be more then appreciated.

    Keep a huge list of demands on crash again and again, among them are: Windows Media Player - VLC - COM Surrogate - Photo Gallery Windows Live - VirtualBox - Microsoft Silverlight - Windows Explorer - XPS Viewer - Windows Live Mail - doPDF8 - PerformanceTest - HP SimplePass - TeamViewer - Windows support center - and many others.

    When you look in windows "Action center" in the "reliability monitor", most of them were listed in the field 'Fault Module name' something 'StackHash_' followed with four numbers or numbers. for example, "StackHash_7001" or "StackHash_4ac5". A few other applications overwritten is the module failed 'ntdll.dll '.

    IV ' e searched all around solutions to this unfortunate problem, the solution only so-called for it I found some answers so that he could have to do with DEP and they advised to turn off DEP for these applications crashing, but this isn't a solution at all because my system is 64-bit and so are most of the applications , and "you can not set DEP attributes on 64-bit executables."

    IV ' e had already restored my laptop to a factory State. but the same thing again later.

    PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME?

    I use Windows 7 Home premium edition, on my HP Pavilion dv6-6c13cl.

    UPDATE:

    Already found the cause of the problem, it's an update of windows as an option for the "Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Display, other hardware - AMD Radeon (TM) HD 6520 G. Uninstalled, and so far, everything is OK.
