Windows 7 blocking somehow a correct installation of the AMD CATALYST OMEGA drivers

Hi all. Please, help me, I am gettig stuck on this day.

First I thought I had a problem with Windows media player as collapsed video game, but the sound pieces.

The problem apeared after I updated the Catalyst Control Center (it was necessary, was 4 years old), the video in WMP remained black, while Bo has played.

Some days, load of frustration, of research and relocations a bit later, I discovered that a new video installation worked fine... but when I tried to close the windows (or restart) I got blue screen with writing error message wellow, thet Windows cannot close and had turned off to protect the computer. It has been too fast went every time (after each installation attempt) to read. After Windows has started normally, everything is ok, but the video does not play in WMP. It is interesting that plays a CD in the player, tears and everything, but DVD is not recognized, and I tells me that I have no drive.

Everything I seem to need is a new facility and talk to Windows slowly to turn well and work.

Can someone help, please?

Get the drivers from Sony support.

There is a warning on the downloads page AMD on the use of their drivers on your laptop

And a general comment, it does not need to update a driver unless it gives an increased functionality or fixes a known bug.

What should I do to resolve this problem and allow full of Windows 7 installation? (my computer is a Compaq Presario V6000).

    Hello

What installation media you are using?

    Method 1:

Error 0 x 80070017 translates "CRC error" which means that the files that are copied from the disc are not making it to the hard drive with the same structure, which means that the 'original' the disk files are modified/changed/corrupted while being copied to the location of the 'destination' on your disk during Setup.

This usually means a bad DVD, or an error reading on the DVD player.

    Hi Paul,.

This article was created when users have faced problem with old drivers for AMD graphics card.

Yes, you can upgrade to the last 16.1 pilots and who should work well however, you should have 1 GB VRAM or more to take advantage of the GPU processors.

  • Correct installation of the new hard drive for Windows 7

Have a disk hard fatal crash with Dell OEM Windows 7on, so I bought a new hard drive compatible system and have my old system Win 7/recovery of data on a memory stick. It's been years that last I formatted, partitioned and installed an operating system on a new hard drive and I totally forgot how it's done. Vaguely remember some DOS commands were required to work out of BIOS (?). Can anyone list the individual measures to be taken, assuming that the hard drive is physically installed and turned on? It would be a great help!

Unless this stick memory has on her installation files as well, you cannot reinstall win7 on the new hard drive

You will need the DVD / or the ISO of Win7.

    ]

And no you do not need BACK. Just the dvd or ISO / to boot from. Then you can format / partition in the configuration screen

  • Create a Windows Server 2008 R2 DVD for Installation of the EFI

Is there an official method of production of compatible installation media EFI for Windows Server 2008 R2.
I created successfully using a rough method to recreate an iso using the original media and oscdimg.exe set out in a number of unoffical positions elsewhere.  However, I ran into another issue that fits the description that is described in the following article.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/975535

I expected that the fix provided in this article would have been incorporated in SP1 of Server 2008 R2 version, but has been unpleasantly surprised to find that there was still no support. I'm more than happy to include the fix in the media but it seems that the files are identical apart from the creation date.

I have completely updated the firmware of my server to set the server up to EFI Shell Version 2 which I hoped would solve some problems, but this did not help either.

It seems EFI will be the way forward because of size limits of hard drive on startup disks until when can we expect a real sollution?

If anyone has any experience with this issue so any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Windows XP Pro does not correctly load after the release of the Radeon graphics driver

    Hello

I have a Shuttle XPC with Windows XP Pro and an ATI Radeon Sapphire graphics card. The entire system is 5-6 years, if that helps my raw description.

My graphic card Radeon has had performance problems, so I downloaded ATI "autodetect tool" and he did choose the update of the driver concerned. After installation and reboot, my PC load Windows XP, but remains unused in ' grainy 8 colors low resolution version ' of my office. No icons, toolbar or whatever it is well visible. The mouse moves the pointer autour, but does not respond to clicks. The only combination of keys which gives anything is Ctrl + Alt + Delete, raise the usual options (in this case useless) to lock the computer, close the session, stop etc.

In short, it seems that I'm not really on my desk, even if it loaded my wallpaper by default.

'Safe mode' or "last working configuration" does not take me anywhere useful.

How to contact with the system to at least start to change my settings for graphics cards?

    Hi the prey,

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

You should check the settings of the computer BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) to boot from the CD/DVD. Check the manual or the support of the computer Web site for the same.

Note: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.

  • Windows says dell somehow prevents me to save my copy of windows after a reinstall

My hard drive died so I reinstalled my copy of windows 7 64-bit edition Home premium, but I can't seem to register even though I'm pretty sure that the code. (The laptop is more than 3 years old and the sticker has rubbed off a bit)

I talked to windows, and they said that if it was a problem with the code then Dell would have a copy associated with my hardware because it is preinstalled.

I talked to dell, but don't talk to me because my warranty missed a long time ago.

Then I spoke to windows again and gave them control of my computer, they searched and tried various things that I fear, I did not understand and then told me that Dell had blocked somehow my registration.

I don't understand how that could be, but windows support told me I need dell to unblock me.

can someone please help me understand what is happening?

This common problem where clients are stuck between Dell and Microsoft and the OEM-Microsoft-client blame triangle.

Dell Windows 7 presets and reinstallation DVD using System Locked Preinstallation where a generic product key is entered automatically and activation occurs if and only if a valid Dell BIOS is detected while Dell doesn't really care the key on the certificate of authenticity. They don't have any connected input of it and neither did Microsoft (who provided these low quality stickers causing the situation that you are to Dell).

There are a few cases where this activation does not go with these media and you are made to be able to enter your COA key and activate it (which you can't). You will also get this problem if you try to clean install your OEM license using retail media like Digital River installation media.

Assuming you've been reinstall Windows 7 using a .iso of Digital River, complete the installation by jumping the product key. You can then restore Dell SLP Product activation by using Activation backup and recovery and Dell program files:

  • The Windows Firewall blocks network share on Windows 7

I'm currently on Windows 7 Pro x 64.  I use the firewall of Windows of Microsoft Security Essentials and Microsoft.  No firewall AV or additional software is currently installed.  I regularly use the many Xbox 360 to stream media content of this machine on the home network.  In addition, I set up a homegroup to share resources such as printer and fileshares with other machines in the House.  It's all working perfectly until a few weeks ago.  No direct changes to installation other than updates of Microsoft, Adobe (Flash) and Oracle (Java).  Now, unless I turn off the Windows Firewall, my xboxs can not see the sharing machine, and no other network computers can print/share via homegroup.

Currently, discovery network, file sharing of printers and streaming media are disabled and cannot be reactivated.  Check the radio buttons on the first two, then clicking to save does nothing.  I get sent to the network and sharing Center screen, but when I check again options for change advanced sharing settings, the options are returned to the people with reduced mobility.  Media streaming from this screen says it is on (even if this is not the case), but when I select the option to change this, it says it is disabled (which is correct).  By selecting the option to turn on media streaming continuously, does nothing.  I can click constantly with no change.

I ran the Virus Scan free from Symantec online as long as complete system scan MSSE where each is an element, and in each case, the two elements have been removed (for the threat found by Symantec) NPE and (for the number found by MSSE) the MSSE tool.  I also run SFC/scannow and repaired the problem identified.  With two comprehensive analyses of each tool, I am sure that my machine is the threat and corruption free.

In addition, I went through the list of services recommended to 'start' and 'automatic' which was published MANY times by MANY people.  For clarity, I have all these started and set to automatic:

    o computer browser
    o Client DHCP
    o customer DNS
    o network connections
    o knowledge of network locations
    o remote procedure call (RPC)
    o server
    o support TCP/IP Netbios
    o workstation

With all these started, I can not follow the discovery of the network, the file and printer sharing, and streaming media options running.  I also made sure upnp started as well.

I noticed, however, when I disabled the Windows Firewall, all options could be changed and stayed changed.  I added WMP to the firewall allow list and activated the firewall.  All options have yet.  In the firwall outgoing options are all set to allow, if incoming is currently refused saying "block all connections to programs that are not on the list of allowed programs."  It is the default state of Windows Firewall.

Run without AV and a FW is NOT an option.  Specifically, these are tools MS and should not conflict with these simple network features.

I was able to solve the problem after a kick in the right direction of another user of the forum.  The 'general' advice give cannot solve the problem, but they are a good starting point if nothing else.  Please see this thread for the difficulty that I used:
