Windows 7: cannot read games full screen

Now, I know that it is a very common problem, but so far, I found nothing like that that I have a problem with. First of all:

  • Acer Aspire Z5600
  • Windows 7 home x 64
  • Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5400 2.70 GHz
  • 3.00 GB Ram
  • 500 GB internal Hardrive, 1 TB external hard drive
  • Intel G45/G43 Express Chipset
  • Native resolution 1920 x 1080

Good at little about 3 months ago I had no problem with mode full screen and each game worked perfectly. Now, there are no games that I have who will play full screen without the screen goes funky on me. By funky I mean it becomes black, white, gray, (segments of quarter blue/red/green/yellow) then black again and go through this program permanently. I uninstalled the chipset and reinstalled with new drivers. I changed and tried all resolutions in all games with always the same effect, and this also happens when I try to change the native resolution. Nothing works but 1920 x 1080.

If anyone can help me would be great. My chance is just something simple, but I've exhausted my brain on this issue for some time and I would like to help.

(It is written for someone who does not know too well with Windows 7. Windows Vista must be the same fix. If there are any Windows XP delivers like this, post and I'll do what I can)

OK I'm back after a busy holiday season and I solved the problem (of course, it was so easy). I did enter my menu START, click DEVICES AND PRINTERS. According to this device, your video card is under (mine is in my computer, all in a single image) you want to double-click on that one. Go to the HARDWARE tab and scroll down until you see your video card, you have installed (you can see a lot of options related to the card as well. It is fine). You're going to go into the PROPERTIES of all the topics containing your card and ROLL BACK THE DRIVER on the DRIVERS tab. This will remove updates that Microsoft has put on your card finally allowing you to play fullscreen (resize your resolution).

I checked all Microsoft sites, Articles, affiliates, or even any help sites and the sad thing was, there was no help on this. However, I find a certain blip little info that triggered my mind to this fix. Microsoft had indicated there was a lot of problems with the updates that came out recently. That's all they said. Nothing to try and help and any info on how they will solve this problem with a new updated. As far as I know, there will be no update for this problem for ACER Z5600 all in One Touch screen PC Media.

If restore all your drivers causing problems for any other software you have (no problem for me), then I suggest to update all your drivers again and do trial and error with restore and update until you have all the programs happy. If all cannot coincide, then I propose to replace one of you're games/programs (any software is to give the question) to a more reputable.

Well, I really hope that this hotfix helps everyone with this problem. My life just that became much easier and not more mind frying time, lol. If this does work for you, then please click on "Mark as answer" if others can also enjoy their time again. : D

Change back to normal if maximized properties do not work and follow these steps.

Any window that you want to resize all the time must be the last closed window.

Take the corners of the window and drag it to the format full screen. Do not use to expand. Close all other windows first via the taskbar and the latter. Windows will remember the size of the last closed window the next time that you open the program.

  • The mouse pointer will not appear during the games full screen

Hi, I'm runnding windows 7 Home premium 64-bit and for some reason my pionter mouse will not be displayed in full screen games. I thought it was the gambling problem, but my brother happened to want to play a game as to my account on the computer rather than its, and the mouse poitner don't appear.

This is why it must be some sort of setting. I can't do the mouse disappear or invisible during games or anything like that, and I tried all means to make the mouse appear in the options of the pointer mouse.

    Any idea?

When this happened to me, I turned off in the options of mouse pointer trails and that solved

  • Games full screen is being kept to a minimum when I open them.

When I try to open a game in full screen, it becomes almost immediately downplayed. This does not happen at the games, I play in windowed mode, like WoW, but games such as Warcraft 3, Age of Empires and the Fable are all affected. I tried to close all other programs running and windows I had running and even turned off my internet connection for a while. I can't get into the game menu to access video options because it minimizes it, after that I restored windows. When the windows are reduced, there is nothing else open on my desk; no error message, no pop-up ads.

    Hi Tonyp89 ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forum.

Did you manage to play them earlier?

Make any change to the system recently?

    Then follow the steps below.

Step 1: Configure the following parameter.

    (1) right click on the shortcut of the games icon.

    (2) on the shortcut tab, go to run .

    (3) in the drop-down list, select expand .

    4) click apply to apply the setting.

    5) click Ok to confirm the change.

    Check if that helps.

If this is not the case, try to change the resolution of the screen.

Step 2: change the screen resolution

    To do so,

    1. open display settings by clicking the Start button , by clicking on Control Panel , appearance and personalization , personalization , and then clicking display settings .

  • pointer does not move in the games full screen

My pointer do not move in the games when they are full screen on windows 7. In windowed mode, it works but it do not fit with all the games because I can't scroll.

    I've updated all my drivers...

It's a well known problem with Windows Vista, but it had an impact on many users... seemed random.  Microsoft produced a patch for Vista.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/932653/en-us

Windows 7 can get a similar fix in time.  In the meantime, it is possible to download the Vista fix & install it via a right click on the Setup file, clicking on properties, then the Compatibility tab and it runs as an application in Vista.

    Hello

    1. did you of recent changes to the system before the show?

2 is the issue limited to the particular game or all games?

    Method 1

I suggest that reduce you the hardware acceleration on your computer and check if it helps.

For Windows vista and Windows 7

    (a) open display settings by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel.

    (b) click on appearance and personalization, click personalization, and then click display settings.

    (c) click on Advanced settings, click the Troubleshooting tab, and then click change settings.

Note:  Some video card drivers do not allow to change settings.

    (d) move the hardware acceleration slider to zero to reduce or turn off video hardware acceleration.

    Method 2

If the previous step fails then I would suggest that you update the drivers of graphics card on the computer by visiting the graphics card manufacturer to download and install the latest update of the driver, check if that helps.
