Windows 7 COMCTL32. DLL IS missing error

Cannot open the form to make suggestions. .. Download, restore, restart... nothing that I have just the box on the screen saying error of comctl32.dll is absent. I have a computer windows 7 dell laptop. Help, please

Hi Samwade,

I suggest that you start the computer in safe mode and then run a file system (CFS) Checker scan your computer to solve the problem.

Start your computer in safe mode

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

SFC/scannow is a very useful command that you can use in any version of Windows. When the SFC (System File Checker) command is used with the/scannow switch, the tool analyzes all the important files of Windows on your computer and replace if necessary.

Missing and the corruption of the operating system (like many DLLs) files are probably the main cause of the major problems of Windows. In view of this, plus the fact that the SFC/scannow is completely automatic and very easy to use, the tool should be usually one of your top not troubleshooting.

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

Hope this information helps.

  • Windows 10, MSVCP110.dll is missing on your computer...

Just upgraded to windows 10, last installed version of windows and the CC updates and had this error, photoshop does not start because MSVCP110.dll is missing on your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. Already tried to reinstall.

in fact, I reinstalled (repaired) Visual C++ 2012 and that solved the problem although I think I read in the durums elsewhere, the packeges to reinstall are in the folder adobe "vrcreditlsit" or something of that nature. Not 100% of the file name really, but that's essentially what I downloaded and reinstalled

  • d3dx9_34.dll is missing error when trying to start the game call duty

When I tried to lunch call of duty 4 I got a message telling me the program cannot start because d3dx9_34.dll is missing. What can I do?  (iam windows 7)

If you have recently installed Win7 Update DirectX can help (Win7 install all DX files)

Download DirectX end-user Runtime Web Installer from the official Microsoft Download Center

It is also possible that the d3dx9_34.dll was corrupted. In this case, you will need to use full DirectX

Installer of Redist (June 2010). This will overwrite all DX files and replace the files corrupted with a new file.

Above the Web Installer does not overwrite existing files. It is only the installation of files "disappeared".

Download details - Microsoft Download Center - DirectX Redist (June 2010)

What follows is a list of the Direct X .dll you when files are updated.
Go to Windows / System 32 folder (and SysWOW64 if you have 64-bit).
    They are in alphabetical order and will start with d3dx9 - 24 43 >. Then d3dx10 - 33 43 > & finally d3dx11 - 42 43 >.
    There was also - d3d9, d3d10 and d3d11 these come before the D3Dcompilers - 33 > 43.There are also three new XInput1 - 1 > 3.
There are more files DX, but these are most of the graphs related to Direct X .dll.
