Windows 7 does not recognize Fallout 3 DVD - can not browse or run the Launcher
I have a version of Fallout 3, I could make it work fine on my Vista system. Now I have Windows 7 on a new machine and went for a new installation. The CPU does not seem to recognize the contents of the drive - unable to sail on him, does nothing when it is inserted into the DVD player. Ask me to format the drive if I drive to "run" then "D:\setup.exe".
How can I fix it?
I've upated Windows Live, but don't think that is the question.
It is a problem with your DVD player drivers more than probable. I try to download the drivers or the latest firmware from the site of the manufacturer of your computer and see if that helps.

Hey Sparky9404
You can try a system restore and a layout of a disc repair service
1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode
http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm
Windows Vista
Using the F8 method:
- Restart your computer.
- When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
- Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
- Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
- To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
- Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.
If that does not read this information
the link below is how to download and get a vista disk startup repair, which you can start from the
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
Here's how to use startup repair system restore command prompt, etc. to bleepingcomputers link below
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
to boot from the dvd drive to be able to you will see a way to get into the bios Setup at the bottom of the screen or command menu start
It would be F2 or delete etc to enter the BIOS or F12 etc. for the start menu
Change boot order it do dvd drive 1st in the boot order
and if all else fails and you need to reinstall vista are the normal methods for computers preinstalled vista portable
Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send vista recovery discs
they do it for a nominal cost of $
also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence

Computer does not start after running the utility Boot Lenovo.
Hello
I replaced the power supply with a CX550M of Corsair, increased memory by exchanging the 4 GB to 8 GB for a 16 GB total, I added a hybrid 2 TB Seagate HDD and all worked fine until yesterday, about 1 month.
Yesterday, I decided to run all the tests of the Lenovo startup disk and after that I restarted, the computer does not start.
When I press the power button, the fan starts and it stops after 3 or 4 seconds and nothing happens, the monitor says no signal, I removed the external USB disk and printer, I reoved the second drive and the same thing heppens.
Any idea what this problem could be? Would it be a bad power supply?
Thank youMario
Resolved, I erased the memory CMOS, moved to following ankle boot, back up the cmos.
Thank you

Oracle does not try to run the scheduled job
Hi experts,
We have a scheduled task that runs a procedure every 15 minutes... the procedure is written so that it retrieve data in a cursor in the remote location and insert it into a table server...
It was working fine, but at 6:00 in the morning the link is disconnected from the remote site (as it it connected through lease line and RF) then oracle has not tried to perform the work, and when I see tasks it shows that work always running from 06:00 morning...
I have check all views, dba_jobs, dba_scheduler_jobs, but in no view or a table, it is shown broken... anyway now I recreated and it works well.
but I would like to know how to force oracle to re-run performance if it is not run on a specified due to connection failure? I read in the documentation of oracle running oracle work try if it is not performed after 1 min, 2 min, 4 min and so on for 16 times, then declare it as broken...
and I also saw column "retry schedule" in dba_scheduler_jobs...
Can someone tell me how to plan this new attempt explicitly?
Thanks and greetings
VDVikrant,
Not going to publish a solution, but would advice to take your question to the forum of the annex. I'm sure someone would be able to give the answer.

Hello
I have a PC desktop HPE-170 a current running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, which has been installed on the machine by the store where I bought it. It has been properly activated and has worked very well for 18 months or more.
The other day it decided to not start and a computer savvy friend corrected the problem by removing the RAM memory cards, clean the gold plated connectors and re - insert the. This fixes the problem and it started again.
Today I received a message on the computer of Microsoft saying "your copy of Windows is not genuine" and he invited me to "solve online. Well, click on the 'My Computer' icon showed me that windows was still active.
By clicking on the "solve Online" link took me to a validation page, where after she tried to validation, it says "The Validation failed" and advised me to buy another copy of Windows 7 HP for AUD $149. Gee, thanks, but no thanks Microsoft. I clicked on cancel and the non-genuine message has not yet reappeared.
I also found now that Windows Update doesn't work that way.
I rang MS that says that I need the Windows 7 Setup disk. When I said that I don't have one, they advised me to ring HP. I didn't have time to complete the phone call from HP, but I believe that HP wants me to reset the system to factory with them State guide me by phone.
I have a genuine copy of Windows, a product key, and it shows as activated. From what I understand the system think that I tried to put my copy of Windows 7 on a new computer or similar? I'm not sure.
Is it really difficult to get the system works just like before?
Thanks for the reply.
I'm afraid I don't understand your instructions. I think that you are a fair way waiting for me in the issues of tech savvy.
I think I have stumbled upon something here; http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02219204
Download and update this driver seemed to do Windows Update includes itself.
I can now go here; realwww.microsoft.com/ /validate/ and he says: "Welcome to Windows".
I hope I now get no more fake messages on my OS Windows is non-genuine.
I'll see what happens tomorrow.
Last update 18/7: seems to be fixed, no more problems.

Windows Update does not work after restoring the system
HP Compaq 6000 Pro, bought in early 2011. Windows 7 32 bit. I recently did a factory restore to return to a clean system using factory restore partition. The restoration seems complete ok, and I have a Windows 7 clean and functional configuration.
However, the Update window will not work (and of course, it is now quite an old installation of Windows 7) it comes up with the Red Cross and the message "Windows Update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running." Other notable issues that may or may not be related are: Windows Defender won't start not (0 x 80070564). HP Support Assistant reports it needs to update, but the update fails (because then it just says: it should be updated again)
What I've tried so far:
Verified that the BITS and the WU services are both actually run
Uninstalled the McAfee antivirus software
Tried to install Windows 7 SP1 directly (happens with "catastrophic failure")
Tried Windows Update (wusa.exe) stand-alone installation / WU Readiness tool-fail (Oxc8000247)
MS difficulty he said Troubleshooter it corrects problems, but nothing changes later
(In short, tried all suggestions from MS support)
It drives me crazy - any help will be appreciated!
ISO should work, just be sure to download the version of Pro 32-bit.

Windows 7 does not start & cannot access the advanced boot options
Ive a 4Yr old windows 7 computer acer laptop, on start-up I get black screen saying:
PXE - E61: media test failure, check cable ofPXE - MOF: out broadcom PXE ROM.No boot device insert the diskette boot & press one touchsame message when I insert the disc of recovery, even when ive him asked to boot from the cd first through f2 drive, I can enter the setup through f2, but can't access boot options via f8, help! I don't know what else to do.Thanks in advance.Hello
There are normally 3 possible reasons of this error you have.
1 BIOS Boot Oder set to Network Boot: BIOS settings to check the boot order.
Check the boot sequence, if possible and make sure that HD is set to 1 in the boot order
2. check the cable connections between the motherboard and the hard disk to ensure that they are not loose
3. doesn't have a hard drive.
Test the hard drive.
Go to the website of your computer manufacturer > search your computer specifications > know brand of hard drive > access the Hard Drive manufacturer's Web site > find and download hard drive Diagnostic software and make a record of start of it on the computer that you use to get here, following their instructions > test your hard drive to see if it has failed.
And you can also use this method to test your hard drive:

Windows 7 does not start directly on the desktop
Hi guys,.
Need your help on this one... .my computer runs windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, I just installed VMware workstation 7.1. Problem is this
Before installation of VMware, when I turn on my computer, it starts directly on the desktop but now it starts until the windows login screen where I choose me as the user (Administrator) after having chosen only then it opens a session on the desktop. Please, keep in mind, there is only 1 user account created for this computer and it's me... what could be the problem? I don't want that... I want windows to load directly on my desk after turning on my computer.
I didn't mingle with the settings under VMware before asking you guys... as I am a first time user of VMware.
Would appreciate any help a little. Thank you
Workstation creates a user account for its own use. Even if this account is hidden (that is why you don't see on the login screen), it always results in that there is more than one account is activated, which in turn disables the automatic connect feature. You can reactivate autologinby following the instructions here:

Windows 7 does not start normally.
Windows 7 does not start normally. The Startup Repair tool will not fix the problem and restore the system to the restore point further did not help either. I ran a Windows Memory Diagnostic, and he says that he has no problem. I started the system in Mode safe, everything seems to work fine, but I can't seem to find something that will solve the problem and allow Windows 7 start in Normal Mode.
In Safe Mode, try setting up Windows for "clean boot".
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Follow step 1 to clean boot, and then see if you can start the computer in Normal Mode.
