It seems to install ok but then when you try to get the updates, it can do a little and then hang or just then find crash. then finally last night it wouldn't come back on just says installation is not complete. any ideas thanks everybody

• Windows Defender does not update new definitions (Windows Vista 32 bit OS).

  An error 0x80072efe code.  Tried the update through Defender site but get the same problem during the update process: it stops with this error code.

  I have also continued to redirected to Web sites at random.  I ran Spybot, Ad-Aware and Malwarebytes, scans were clean.  I keep getting redirected to a site that says I have registry problems and to perform an audit. Have not yet done.

  Download and install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - update and run a scan complete delete everything it finds.
  Check your Hosts file and verify that you do not use an unknown proxy server.
  If you need more - you would be better at a site specialized in malware.
