Windows 7 Home premium sp1

so here we are, I am running a genuine copy of windows 7 Home premium sp1 and I'm having a problem extremely frustrating trying to install it on windows, 10. everything is downloaded even 10 windows but when I try to restart my pc to start the installation process it restarts windows 7 and it's all windows 10 doesn't begin to install. I created a copy of the installation on a USB but I can't install it because of the installation media that is already installed on the computer. I need to know how to remove the existing my PC copy, so I can install from my USB.  I tried to use fixit and cleandisk but it cannot get rid from the problem for some reason any.

Original problem seems to be a massive viral infection (owner had no active antivirus software installation!) which led to the non-bootable computer.  After working on this for a while, I decided to just do again it.

  • Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 - multiple windows program or service failures after Windows Update June 17, 2011

I have Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 (I think that SP1 anyway). Last night June 17, 2011, update of Windows installed an update or updates. Now, Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer, Windows Installer, Windows Sidebar, Panel, Windows Update and other Microsoft programs all fail. I get messages with various error codes. A message is 'class not registered '. I tried a restore to a previous restore point, but apparently the only restore point is the one made after the update. What can I do here? I know that I can always restore the factory image (Dell), but I'd rather not if I can help it.

    Hi doc,

    Method 1:

You can try to repair aStartup if it is included in the system recovery options provided by the manufacturer of the computer or start from the disc for Installation of Windows Vista.

    Startup Repair: frequently asked questions

What are the system recovery options in Windows Vista?

    Method 2:

Alternatively, you can try to start a disk check and check.

You can view the following link to perform a disk check:

Note: When you run the disk check, there are chances of losing data if you can take a backup of important data before you run checkdisk.

As far as I know, the System Builder License means that you are supposed to install it on a machine that you sell to a third party.

    It is not for end-users.

Try to download an .iso of Digital River and create a bootable USB and use it to install:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/download-Microsoft-Windows-and-Office/Download-Microsoft-Windows/Windows-7-SP1-ISO-download/

I have successfully upgraded to Windows 7 now and went through many updates probably because I was only skillfully to download the 'OLD' ISI sucessfully.  I warned SnaggStuff.com where I bought for the installation DVD and I was told that the license key product, they sent me could be used.  Last night the following message appeared on my screen,

"The product key of Windows 7 Edition Family Premium you typed is invalid for activation", followed by three options:
    Use the automated phone system
Buy a new product key online
    Type a different product key

I warned SnaggStuff requesting their verification or a refund if I have to purchase another license.

Its possible that the license that they sold you was OEM and you have used a .iso of DETAIL to install. If this is the case, you can normally activate by entering the key and activation via the command prompt, see here for more details:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/a-clean-install-of-Windows/Microsoft-product-activation/product-activation-with-a-Windows-7-upgrade-key-after-clean-installation/

If this does not work, you will need to use telephone activation automated.

About SnaggStuff I'm not in the United States, so have never heard of the site before but here's a thread here with similar issues:

Hi, I have a problem with Marvell Yukon Ethernet controller. He send Windows Vista blue screen crash. Restart Vista send the collected issue to Microsoft, then he said:

This problem was caused by the Ethernet controller Marvell Yukon, which was created by Marvell Semiconductor.

    Solution

To know the solution to this problem, go online on the website of Marvell Semiconductor:

    Marvell Semiconductor

I go to the website, download the latest updated driver and the problem is still there. I've installed the latest driver (the same) three times in a month, but the problem is still there.
Another problem is that, after a few hours, my internet connection are not has high latency and then connect all the web pages until you restart. Connection in the bar bar icon indicates that the pc is connected to internet but I can not navigate on it. Is it because of the Ethernet controller? I have installed the last day ZoneAlarm v 7.1.254.000 but, for me, options are set ok and this type of problem (no internet navigation) appear from that moment.

If I use the last restore point, gain an advantage any?

    Any solution?
Thanks in advance for the reply and sorry for my bad English.

    Ninus,
If you have followed all the steps of procedure which you is given by Martin and continues to have the same problems, you should consider two other possibilities.  1. your equipment could be bad - you need to buy and install a new Ethernet controller (or have done by a service professional if you don't normally this sort of thing yourself).  or 2. Do a clean install of Vista.

Skype version 5.x must be updated.  The current version is 6.1.  If you want it to run on win 7 (or win 8), you need the most recent version.

This is a fairly simple installation and should not hurt anything.
