Windows 7 installs drivers / print Oki 431dn printer

Hello MS community.

I've upgraded a Windows XP computer to Windows 7 to upgrade to windows Vista then 7. then I put the hard drive in a newer computer (in order to have an improved machine) and made a windows repair if it works properly. everything works in their computer, except that I can't get the Oki 431DN printer working. is it possible that the pilots are now corrupt? already, I went in management of printing and removed the printer and its driver besides files. You can provide any help would be great!

Unless you had a commercial full version of win7 when you put the HD in a new PC and repaired, it may fall at any given time.

On the support site of Oki that there could be a utility to remove it completely if so use it, restart the PC reinstall Oki drivers

  • installation of printer drivers for 3050 on Server 2003

Hi - I have a server Win2K3 I use to publish a desktop remotely with GO-Global.  One of the clients that connects to the server has a printer DeskJet 3050 J611 a series on a 8.1 Windows machine.  We usually use the HP Universal PCL6 driver, but in this case I can't.  It requires a driver on the client-side and server-side to allow printing.

Operating system Windows Server are not supported by the 3050 has, and when I try to install anyway, Setup fails.  I thought I would try to install locally and move the corresponding files on the server but I'm not able to find the records that wrote the driver installation program.

If I can find the installation locations I can move Windows 8.1 drivers on the server to point his printer at home.  Anyone has any suggestions, or do we need to find another printer?

    Thanks - Jonathan

    Hi Jonathan,.

You can install the printer locally (via USB or via the wireless network) your PC of Windows 8 client.

The printer is not compatible with any operating system server and there is no drivers for Windows Server 2003, copy all of the files will not solve such that these files are not intended and will not work on a server.

If you want to install and share the printer via a server you will need another printer that is compatible with the operating system.

You can find the drivers of Windows 8 below:

  • What is the Web address to download the print for my windows xp vista drivers

I don't know how or where to go to download the Vista printer drivers on my windows xp machine.  It's a printer shared on windows xp and Vista.  How can I get Vista drivers.

HP did not provide a separately downloadable Vista drivers for this printer.  Instead, a "skeleton" driver is included in Vista.

    HP (http://tinyurl.com/858avum) says:

With the-OS driver, some of the buttons on the printer do not work, and some of the advanced features of these products are not available. But you can still print, then import and display images on a memory card.

In all cases, you don't need the Vista driver on the box of XP.  You should only install the Vista driver on the Vista box.

The "Additional drivers" feature of XP, which makes drivers for for other operating systems available for use with a printer shared, is only for convenience.  The only "additional drivers" you have for this function are those listed for Win 2 K and older versions of Windows - not for Vista.

For your Vista box, see the section "to print using a shared printer"--> here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Share-a-printer in a related article on how to "Find and install printer drivers," use the section "to install or update the drivers using the Printers folder."

    Hello Lscherr,

Thank you for your message.  To clarify, you are able to print out your design program?  You can try to perform a clean boot and printing of your design program.  A clean boot will start your computer without any 3rd party applications, you can then start your design software and test the printing functionality.  If you are able to print, the problem may be caused by another application of part 3.  Click HERE for instructions to boot.

  • error 0 x 00000643 with installation of printer Vista

I have the same problem, a Windows Vista laptop wireless connected to my network.  I have a Canon MF8000C printer I am trying to connect.  This printer is also wireless connected to my network.  I was able to install the printer on other computers on my home network, but not this one.

I ran the program Fix It, but no luck.  I checked that printer sharing is on.
I also tried to uninstall and install, nothing helps.
When I use Explorer the item appears on the network, and when I try to install the drivers manually from the Canon Website, the installer can not find the device, even when I provided the IP address that I see in the properties of the printer.

  • Windows 8 not find printer hp 4400

I just bought a new pc with windows 8.  When I try to add my printer, it says something like "no devices found."  The printer is plugged in, turned on and works fine on Windows 7.  Also, even if the pc do not think that what anyone is connected, but he acknowledges that the printer is turned on or off by a 'windows' sound. The printer is a HP 4400.

I solved this problem.  I went the Manager devices and found that my printer is not under printers.  It was listed under other devices.  I clicked on it checked the different tabs and I saw there was no information on the pilots. I got it through my computer for the drivers that I had downloaded earlier and he found them and complete the installation. The printer is now listed under printers and appears as an option when I go to print.  Hard to believe that he would be such a hassle to get a computer with a printer.

  • Windows cannot recognize the printer after the print job is canceled

When I installed my printer Epson XP - 410 on my laptop Windows 7, the installation of program established three identical icons in the box "Show hidden icons" system tray, a 'Epson XP-410 series named' and others adding "(Copy 1) and (copy 2) that." It was not critical until today when I ran in the paper and cancelled the print job. Now rather than see the icon for XP - 410 as before, Windows Live Photo Gallery is only to see the icon (copy 2) and the properties of the printer selection under print settings is looking for a printer that does not exist, say is not ready, showing without ink, etc..  Anyone know how I can get Windows to recognize the printer that is there instead of look for one that is not there? I tried to customize under Show hidden icons, but when I change the status of the any icons, they change all three at once. Any help would be so appreciated...

    Hi Robert,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem. However, I would be grateful if you could answer a few questions to refine the question in order to provide you with better assistance.

    1. What is the exact error message you get when you give the print command?
    2. You have related driver printer disks to install the printer?

The question may arise if the package of printer from the printer model driver is either not installed correctly or has been corrupted.

In order to diagnose and solve the problem, I would say, try the following methods and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Run the printer Troubleshooter and check if that helps. He made sure that a printer is connected to your computer, and it checks for common issues such as whether the printer has enough paper and toner to complete printing your document.

    Open the printer Troubleshooter

If the problem persists, try the following method.

    Method 2:

Try to uninstall and reinstall the last full have printer drivers and check if the problem persists.

Step 1: Uninstall the printer drivers installed in the system

    • Open programs and features, click Start > Control Panel > programs and features.
    • Find and select Epson printer drivers in the list of programs.
    • Click Uninstall and follow the instructions on the screen.
    • Reboot your system.

Step 2: Reinstall the printer drivers

Reinstall the latest drivers at the following link that is compatible with Windows 7.

    Epson XP-410

Hi John - thank you for your response. For the benefit of someone else who has this problem, I was able to perform a miracle. Hope this helps someone.  Thank you, Christian...
