Windows 7 network printers (2 always be disconnected) * not SNMP * printer drivers

I have 100 pc windows 7 on this network and only 1 pc is having this problem with 2 printers.  For 6 months now, I've been googling and trying to solve problems with 2 of its 5 printers showing "offline."  All printers are installed via the server here on the site in the same way.  And only 2 of them are continually have this problem.

I changed the SNMP

All printers are on a static IP address already

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the printer through the server

I deleted the ports and reinstall them manually manually using add/add printer port Wizard

I removed from the print queue and restart the print spooler on his machine and my server

I reinstalled the spooler to print on the local computer

I updated to the latest manufacturers drivers for printers

Printers in question are a 7800 Xerox and a scanner/copier Kyocera 5050.  Al these printers work and operatin fine on all the other machines on the network here, even when this machine is displayed in offline mode.  I'm tired of this issue.  We 2 of us in serving this office and 7 remote offices to the tune of 300 employees (I know, its ridiculous), and I don't have an easy way to simply rebuild his machine as we're overwhelmed, it is a production machine / I don't have a machine of temp I can put on that will be all applications will need.  If someone has a magic that they can send in a box, I'd be beyond grateful.

I finally gave up using the HP driver for device Pro 8620 and 8620 name and started using HP ePrint as my printer driver default, which seems to have solved the problem for now.

    Hello

Thank you for using the forum.

You can try creating a TCP/IP port?

    Creating a TCP IP port

    1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer IPv4 address (you can also tap on the icon wireless on the front panel of your printer to obtain the IP address)
    2. On your PC, go to control panel configuration, devices and printers, right-click the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the Ports tab.
    3. Click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
    4. Type the IP address for the printer.

Note that you can ALWAYS go back to the original port the HP software installed by selecting the HP port on the Ports tab (in the properties of the printer)

    Thank you.

  • Problem adding network printers; received this message error «Windows cannot connect to the printer or the name of the printer...» »

    Hello

I have a Windows XP pro (Lenovo) that I recently ran the recovery and returned to certain configurations of 1.5 years. Now I can't add a network printer and get always the message error «Windows cannot connect to the printer or the name of the printer...» ». I ping the printer and all on my network can add these printers, it's just that a machine that fails to add network printers.

I disabled the firewall, but were still unable to add the printer. Then I found some difficulties to register for a similar problem, but they were not useful... It really becomes a big headache, especially Windows restore does not work...

I strongly suspect that 1.5 years, someone has renamed the printer.  Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the print server through My Network Places and see what it's callednow .  Otherwise, you could ask your network/system administrator.  You should know... • Windows 7 does not print on network printers

    Hello

I have a network with 3 Windows 7 Machines and 3 network printers, all have static IP addresses.  Printers are all different manufacturers...

I can't seem to print correctly to all printers of 2 machines, but having problems with the 3rd.

Used to work, it has stopped working recently.

Printers will install correctly and appear to be working, but then I get a yellow exclamation on printers.  When I try to print to the printer, the jobs go to the queue printing, and finally, I get a message in the queue - "printing error".  I do not receive a message printer offline."

I can successfully ping command on the ip addresses of printers, and appropriate answers.

The only way I am able to use these printers on this particular machine is if I connect to them by another machine of work (shared printers) is not a viable solution, as I then have the machine on that printers are shared from to be able to print.

I tried a lot of different things; creating a user profile, uninstall and reinstall the printers, unchecking SMTP in the advanced settings of the printers, deleted and then recreated ports, the system restore when printers were working properly, etc.

I have scanned for viruses, etc.

When I try to print to a specific printer, the software that is installed to manage the printer will also open as if work goes to print, but it never did and finally error.

I did a lot of research in the forums and tried almost all outside to reload the operating system.  It is a last resort...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

It is a coup in the water, but on the only other thing I can think of.

You can reset the print subsystem in its default state by running the following Microsoft Fixit routine--> http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9829711

I suggest you uninstall all software related to printers using the control panel > programs and features before running the Fixit.  Close all open applications before running the Fixit.

The Fixit allows uninstalling all printers and requires a reboot after the execution.  After the reboot, reinstall using freshly downloaded software from the website of the manufacturer of the printer.

Details of what the routine Fixit are described here--> http://blogs.technet.com/b/askperf/archive/2012/02/24/microsoft-fixit-for-printing.aspx?Redirected=true&PageIndex=1

  • Network printers disappear in Windows 7

I connect to two printers on my office network.  One is a Dell, the other laser printer a HP deskjet printer.  They have worked very well for many, many months, both for me and for my colleagues.

I have recently upgraded to Windows 7, XP and have worked out the kinks.

I noticed today that, after the restart, my network printers are visible in the devices dialog box and printers.  However, at the time when I try to print from Word or Excel (maybe other things as well; they are the only two apps I tried), they both disappear, me leaving no printer.

Excel gives me the message "no printer is installed."

If I try to add printers, I get a message, "Windows can't open add printer."  The local print spooler service is not running.  Please restart the spooler or restart the machine. »

I reboot, they show once again.  Try to print, they disappear again.

Could be a coincidence, but I installed Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 today.  Don't know what it would be important, however.

    I am running Office 2007.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you!

    Andy

    Update:
It seems that the problem is caused by Office 2007.  I can print fine go to Outlook, but when I try to print from Word or Excel, printers disappear - and I have to restart to recover.

In addition, nobody else in the Office has the problem.  They can all fine print.

    Thank you!

    Andy

    Andrew,

I'm assuming that your server is configured as a print server. If so, the drivers are stored on the server. When you install the printer, these drivers install on your local workstation. There is a good chance that the server currently has no Win7 drivers installed, you receive the drivers who are probably not compatible with Win7.
A good way to solve this problem is to print directly to the printer, rather than via the print server. Since I am more familiar with Dell printers, I'm going to try to help you get that one up and running.
You can get the Dell printer model?

  • Adding network XP Pro via the Windows 7 workgroup printers

    Hello

I have a Windows 7 Pro task force put in place.  I would add a XP Pro machine on the working group.
I think I have the CPU of the XP Pro as a member of the working group.
If I want to add a network printer must stand alone for XP Pro, be shared on the task force 7 Pro?
I don't see any of my network printers stand alone on XP Pro.  I currently do not them marked as shared in Windows 7, as they then appear with multiple variations of their name on the network.
    Thank you
    AS

If by a "network printer stand alone ', you hear a printer connected directly to your network or cable or wireless Ethernet is not uncommon that he would not find while browsing the network.  AND the pilot didn't need (and in general should not) be shared through another computer.   Possible but causes a slower printing and less reliable work is been put on hold through this machine and not sent directly to the printer.
You need to install the XP driver on the XP machine.  Most of the OEM installation programs will search the network printer at that time here.   I generally prefer to use a static address for Ethernet printers that can be seized if necessary and tends to be more reliable.

  • Prevent redirection of network printers in Windows 7 clients

We use a server W2K3 running Terminal Server services. Windows 7 clients all have their network printers, but also their redirecting local printers.  I want to only local printers to redirect as XP clients.

Our sellers when in the office, all use the server terminal server.  Then when they are all in the office and connected, they each have anywhere from 2 to 8 printer redirection (or try to redirect) is totally useless as network printers are already installed on the server terminal server.  So I could see only one printer appears 15 times with all the redirects clients.  The DRC XP not redirect network printers.  How can I get only the local printer redirected.  I tried the RedirectDefaultPrinterOnly, but for most users, that ends up being one of the network printers.

All the results that I find are for remote printing does not.  For me it works too well.

    TIA

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 kills Windows XP Networking

OfficeJet pro 8600, several computers Windows XP networking.

I have 4 different 8600 OfficeJet Pro installed on 4 different sites, purchased from different vendors. In any case, I get the same problem.

There is a network problem. All printers are connected to the network.

The printer is not the cause of the problem. The problem persists even if the printer is turned off.

The problem is that: when the computer is turned on all night, the next morning, Web pages aren't accessible, and the networks of communication with the printer is missing. You cannot print, and you can not navigate.

You can ping the router, ping the external DNS servers, and you can test Web pages. Navigation is affected. And printing.

Turning the printer off and restarts do not affect the problem. Restarting the computer solves the problem.

Kill all the services of iexplorer running in taxk Manager solves the problem.

HP support says it is a XP problem and they have no intension to work on the problem. They think it's a network problem disconnected operating system after 2 hours. They are wrong. I left the computer alone for more than 4 hours and the problem is. It occurs if you leave the computer on all night.

Windows XP-based computers were all updated for the latest updates and are running SP3.

The solution is to disable the computer function on computer analysis, solves the problem of navigation.  Always change the notification of ink for printing only.  This action has resolved the problem of printing defect.

I have the latest version of the software and the latest firmware.

I can't believe that if panasonic can write software because it has networked copiers (all printers) that still work and are easy to install on windows xp, HP cannot write similar software.  I am referring to analyze computer software.

  • OfficeJet pro 8600: my two network printers has stopped printing

I have two printers officejet pro 8600 in my house. All of a sudden both are not available from any laptop or mac on the network. This issue is not isolated to a single laptop or a printer. Printers are online and have an IP address. However, if I type the IP address in a browser, it can not be found. If I use the function "" update IP address"and run a search, it fails. I am certainly on the same network.  I always can email docs to my address hpeprint. Please advise...

Turn off the printer and router. Turn on the router and wait 3 minutes. Now the power on the printer and wait they connect to your router, check. Try now.
