Windows 7 not to close

I think having downloaded some ad-ware that I think that I managed to get rid of, but after I did a Norton Security scan to get rid of it, my computer will not shut down. It will get stuck on logging OFF... for how long I do not know how because I just turned the computer out of myself instead of waiting too long. I waited 2 hours for the newspaper altogether at the end, but he never did.

Luke

You must have deleted the observer event logs because there are only 182 events listed.  One thing preventing shutdown is the USBCharger.sys I would delete it.  Another is readyboot.  I would turn it off.

If after that these two are fixed, you continue to have a shutdown problem, please run a trace of windows as described below performance recorder

In order to diagnose your problem, we need run Windows performance toolkit, the instructions that are in this wiki

If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask

Please run the trace when you encounter the problem

    Hello

    Please contact Microsoft Community,

I hope that following the below mentioned steps will solve your shutdown problem

    (1) Open Start menu and type "regedit" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.
    (2) This opens the registry editor.
    (3) make sure that you back up the registry before you continue. (To do this, click on 'File' then 'export' and give a name to your backup file).
    4) go to the following location:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager

    (5) once open, on the right side, look for entry ' BootExecute'. Double-click it.
    (6) delete all of its 'Value data' part and write the following in it:
    autocheck autochk *.
    and press OK.
    (7) now, "RESTART" (do not press STOP) your computer.
    (8) after successful restart, press the STOP button.

This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • How can I get rid of windows does not properly close the message?

    Hello

I am running a windows XP in my car, and every time that I turned off my computer of the car stops at the same time too.  This is due to my son and I will change it soon.  But in time average is there a way to make windows automatically choose "start windows normally"?  ( http://help.artaro.eu/images/winvista/vistastarterror01.jpg )

    Thank you

    Chen He

It sounds like XP behave correctly and not making not a normal shutdown, you will see this message a lot.

Maybe when you turn off your car, there is a transition of power that poses a problem for your computer...  I think that could also threaten or damage your hardware if it continued to occur.

Until you get your fixed wiring, you can shut down the computer first, then turn off the car, or perhaps you could - unplug the computer from the car, turning off the car, shut down the computer.

Until you get your fixed wiring, don' turn off the car while XP is running.

  • "Windows Vista Security Center" close browser windows, precise I have a virus, and now no programs will be opened. Windows does not start in safe mode, and all the system restore points have already disappeared.

    Hello

I have a Dell laptop under Windows Vista Premium. I got it for about three years, and he is upset enough ok tonight. In the middle of browsing the internet, check my email, etc., all but one of my browser windows close at random, and a message appears "windows vista Security Center" whenever I try to open a new window, blocking of the site and to say that the site is dangerous and my system has been infiltrated by a Trojan horse. Then he starts the scan and says that I must buy the full to get everything to work again. I closed everything, since I already have McAfee antivirus and internet security, but it does not, and neither did any other progams. I tried restarting in safe mode to restore a backup point, but Windows does not open in safe mode, rather stick for half an hour in the middle of loading. When I managed to start windows in normal mode, I found that all my past restore points had been erased.

This happened to someone else, and it is fixable without wiping everything?

    Thanks in advance,
    Emma

    Hi Emma,

This could be due to a virus on your computer.  Try to make a virus on your computer scan to check if your computer is infected.

A few months ago, I tried to install Linux as a dual boot and had to wipe my drive but have not had any problems in the meantime. I currently have a Boot Camp Windows 10 partition, but it was installed some time ago. This could be my problem or is this something tied to the side Mac?

Thanks for any help you have to offer!

Remove the Wacom software, it is a known problem in 10.11.5

Also check all Wacom is removed from Log-in Items(use the) Sys Preferences > users and groups > login items

If Wacom tablet etc. is vital for your workflow — after remove you and test your machine - try to download the most updated the driver from Wacom.

  • my new Firefox worm 29 always starts maximized how do I set the size of the window and not expanded?

    I reinstall my Windows 7 (win 7 pro 64-bit)
so I had to reinstall firefox as well, installed worm 27 and upgraded to version 29
now when I run firefox it will start maximized and I want to adjust the size of the window when it starts.
Why the size of the window will not change and it will start maximized all the time?

    1. In Firefox, type Subject: support in the address bar and press ENTER.
    2. Click the display folder. A Windows Explorer window opens.
    3. Right-click on the Firefox task bar icon and select close all windows or close this window.
    4. In the window of Windows Explorer which opened earlier, delete the file localstore.rdf .
    5. If you have Firefox pinned to the taskbar, right click on the taskbar icon, then right-click on the Firefox icon in the menu that appears and choose Properties.
      • If you have a shortcut on the desktop, simply, right-click and choose Properties.
    6. Click the shortcut in the Properties window.
    7. Be sure to only run is set to "normal window".
  • Permanetely avoid pop bing upward at the bottom of the page, not just close every time that the page is re-open.

I hate this F * KIN bing pop up at the bottom of the MSN.com page and you want to permanently delete it, not just 'close' every time that the page is re-open. I have Windows 7 and would like to know how to do it. I'm not familiar with how to change the script or procedure to do. I Ad Block more and do not know what line of 'block' in filters. Help!

I use Firefox 21.0 and like MSN.com (except the cursed bing pop up) as home page.
