Windows 7 Pro "Note this computer" keeps returning an error

I'm loving Windows 7 and games are swell running, but I'm a little confused as to why the program "Note this computer" continues to operate in a mistake.  He tells me the following:

"windows experience index for your system could not be calculated."

"cannot complete assessment."
the assessment or other operation did not completely succeed.  This is due to an error reported from the operating system, driver or any other element. »

I've completely updated windows, I have the latest drivers for my vid card, here's the dxdiag info (thanks in advance to anyone who can help, it's a small thing but his confused me):

  • Windows Setup could not configure Windows on hardware of this computer Installation error on the new hard drive

Okay so if please bear with me and be patient.  I'm not tech savvy.  I know enough to be able to remove an old hard drive and put another one, but when there are errors, I don't know what to do.

    Here's the situation.

I have a Dell Studio XPS with Windows 7 installed.  I started having these notifications that my hard drive could be a failure.  I tried everything that I could find to fix it without having to buy a new HARD drive without success.  The current system has a 1 TB Seagate hard drive.  I installed a memory additional bar thingie right after that I got the computer about 4 years ago.  (If someone tells me how to find the properties of real system, I post them if necessary).  Anyway, I bought a new WD 1 TB black disk hard to install before my old dies and loses all my photos and documents, etc...

I took the old drive yesterday and installed the new hard drive.  I put back the case and turned on the machine.  I put in my Windows 7 installation disc.  He began installing Windows 7... It's completely past the initial screen where it says it to load it and the other... I had accepted the license agreement, but did not have to make a profile and do the work and the reader.  I hope all this makes sense.  Then it pops up this message "installing Windows could not set up Windows on hardware on this computer."  I couldn't figure out what to do from there.  I got the new drive and put the old one back to and here I am. I tried to find solutions to this problem, but I either don't can't make heads or tails out of the responses on the internet or the solution is not exactly my problem.

Please help if you can!  And if you have any suggestions, please dumb them down so I can understand what to do.  I CAN do if loaded, you just have to not talk too irritable.  Laughing out loud

    Thank you in advance!

    Maybe not...

The Windows installation is not happy about something, and since it gets at least started which is a good thing, but your installation problem can not really be with Windows - perhaps something about Dell hardware or your 1 TB HARD drive.

I looked at your system and found this article that you can read to see if it sounds like your original question:

Windows Setup could not configure Windows on hardware on this computer.

    http://www.Dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN293812/en

Since Dell has written an article for help on this subject, it means they've met enough times to take the time to compose the article and put it on their WWW site (but, they say, it is a possible resolution).

Could you take the issue in the Dell online community where experts hang out (especially your amber light).

Another good place for support is www.bleepingcomputer.com where there is a similar topic as your question (except Vista) on a Dell and a new disk of 1 TB (also a Seagate) and Dell ideas did not work, but someone else has found a way to fix it:

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/453378/installation-fails-to-complete-on-new-HDD/

The bleepingcomputer for your error message search reveals other areas and people who have got things to work in different ways, then it is perhaps another place to look for ideas.

If the installation still fails it would not hurt to do the BIOS setting and see if things are getting longer, and since you are going to write the current settings before proceeding with the adjustment you can always cancel the adjustment if things get worse.

  • I tried to open Windows Media Center, but this message keeps popping up "you are connected as a guest. Windows Media Center requires a non-invite account. »

I have problems with my account. I have a laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium, I tried to open Windows Media Center, but this message keeps popping up "you are connected as a guest. Windows Media Center requires a non-invite account. If you change your account type, contact the owner of this system. A similar message appears when I try to install the updates there are no other accounts on my computer and it still says I am admin.

    original title: ownership of account?

    Hello

Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

It seems a problem with missing or damaged system files. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.
    Method 1:
Let flow the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if it helps.
    Microsoft security scanner: http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. During these 10 days, it will remove all the files infected by the virus and records. I suggest you create a backup of your data, and then install Microsoft Safety Scanner.

    Method 2:
Run the scan tool (SFC) System File Checker and check if it helps.
How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista: http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 3:
Try to create a new user account and check if it helps.
    Create a user account: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/Windows-vista/Create-a-user-account
If the problem is resolved in the new user account, this means that the old user profile is damaged. Here is the link to repair a user account damaged: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

    Hope the information is useful.
  • Windows 8 Pro not activated, error code: 0x8007007B

OK, here's the thing so... I bought a Windows 8 PRO (x 86 & x 64) in a local store. This key worked perfectly the last 4 times I installed it (3 times on the same computer... once on a lappy) but when this time, during the installation, when the installation program asks key, I entered that key and it has been accepted... but when it came to the office... There WAS the WATERMARK ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT OF the SCREEN... When I open PC Info... He stated that Windows is not ACTIVATED !

When I click ' see details in Windows Activation', a window pops up,

    When I clicked on ACTIVATE...

    WHAT DO I DO ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?

    o.O o.O o.O o.O o.O o.O o.O

Original title: tried a lot... but Windows 8 Pro NOT ACTIVATE! o.O

I suggest that you use the telephone method to activate. In a command prompt (ADMIN), type Slui 4, choose your country and follow the instructions. When connected to an automatic connection say or do nothing until you are transferred to a technician to live and then explain in detail your problem and it should be able to help to activate your computer. Hope this helps and if you need any additional aid station and we will be happy to help you.

    Hello
I am trying to install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode on my computer toshiba laptop. The compatibility tool h/w PC said that my PC is h/w support, assisted virtualization (BIOS and processor support for virtualization extensions).

    I installed Windows XP Mode.

I am trying to install Windows Virtual PC on my Tablet RTM of Windows 7 Enterprise Edition 32 bit and it fails with below:
Windows Update could not be installed due to the error 2149842967 "' (command line:""C:\WINDOWS\system32\wusa.exe" "C:\Users\vishalt\Downloads\Windows6.1-KB958559-x86.msu" ")

I tried several options suggested as
    (a) restarts - did not work
    (b) netstop wuauserv, wicks, rename the softwaredistributionfolder, netstart these services (the two) and try windows complete update - windows update has started but I still couldn't install the KB958559
    (c) try cmdprompt in a high of UAC cmd window.

I was wondering if there is something else that needs to be done to install this package KB.

  • Windows 7 could not search for new updates code error C80003FA

I just activated Windows 7. When I tried to update, I have "Windows 7 could not search for new updates C80003FA error code".

Tried three times with the same result. Could someone, please?

C80003FA ReadVerifyFailure - a read verification error occurred.

    1. What is the suite of security/antivirus installed?
    2 is a 3rd party firewall installed?
3 - is an upgrade to another edition of Windows?

Please click on the round of departure. In the search field type programs and files in wups2.dll

Under programs right click wups2.dll and choose Properties, when the Properties window opens, click the Details tab.
Version of the file and the product should be showing 7.4.7600.226
Now do the same for c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll
He, too, should show file version and product like 7.4.7600.226

If the version is earlier than that, you will need to install the more recent Version of the Windows Update Agent.
The easiest way to do this is therefore download and Save the Fixit found here - How to reset the Windows Update components?
Once the download completes close all open programs and browsers.
Run MicrosoftFixit50202.msi and choose its default mode.

BUT, if the installed firewall antivirus/security suite or a 3rd party is causing the "reading check error" then the Fixit may/does not work.
If this is the case, then Configure the system to boot after download and Save the Fixit.
Then, run the Fixit after the reboot to clean boot state.
Restart and Cancel the clean boot steps, restart again to normal Windows mode.

    NOTE:
in the boot minimum state all the 3rd party firewalls will be disabled. When you run the Fixit either unplug the system from it is the network connection or make sure the native firewall of Windows 7 is now on by opening the control panel > Windows Firewall.

Windows 7 will not be updated. I get error code 800706F7. I removed the update painful KB304394, which of course still blocking updates, earlier. Since then, I find in the history of the update that almost most of the windows update attempt failed.  (A couple for Windows Defender succeeded). Now, when I try to install an update manually, I get the 800706F error code.

Yes, I have same problem of yours, I've finally updated all those win updates, now that I started some bloggers advice what to do to solve these problems. I actually had a problem with a crash suddenly and blackout of screen and other unusual tracks on this desk, until the February MS cannot install updates. what I've done, I've tried the [FSC.exe] System File Checker, see him through YouTube "how to use FSC,"... Solved problems of 100%, but it depends on the number of files that can not be repaired, my results are minor just repair corrupt files... Try it...

    Hey Brian39

If you change the motherboard that you normally have to reinstall vista

your hard drive if you ever reinstalled vista contains the drivers for the old motherboard etc.

and if vista is pre-installed you can not put the motherboard unless you do so in collaboration with the computer manufacturer

If a retail license, you can change the motherboard

but you will normally always reinstall vista for reasons

  • Popup "Windows Activation Technologies", saying "this computer is not running genuine Windows". 0x8004fe22 validation error

I haave had this since 2008 HP Pavilion desktop computer.  It came with Win 7 Home installed, and Office Depot had upgraded to Win 7 Pro.  I ran it without any problem of validation for more than three years now.  Tuesday I'll be back for an appointment and the computer went to sleep.  When he woke up normally, I found a 'Windows Activation Technologies' popup saying "this computer is not running genuine Windows".  I tried the link "pay online now", but he ordered me to have to pay for a new facility.  I do not want to do because my Windows has already been purchased and is valid for more than three years.

Then run Windows Genuine Advantage Diagnostic tool and it came true.

I ran full virus and malware scan with Avast Pro and Malwarebytes Pro and a complete diagnosis with Advanced System Care Pro tools that have always kept this system clean and stable.  As expected, no malware, regular maintenance tasks only were delivered.  It's been several days since the last time that I made no change to the system (I upgraded a utility) and the system has been rebooted at least four times after that without problem.  The only other change was an update of Windows.  Interestingly, after that same Windows Update on my machine Vista, it refused to start (BSOD) and I had to go back to a two days old restore point - that fixed it.  I always had a mysterious problem with Win 7 Pro machine that it creates restore points, but I can never find, so I can't have this option on this computer.

I'm trying to start a new business and cannot afford to be without my computer, or do strange things, or buy a new copy of Windows and take the time to restore a careful configuration of three years.  I when I recently bought a new laptop from Office Depot, I also bought a Windows 7 Pro upgrade kit and installed myself.  When I did, I realized that the update CHANGES THE PRODUCT KEY and I knew not when they improved the office... they give me new product key for the Pro upgrade, so all I have is the original OEM key and apparently going to lose my Pro upgrade if I need to reimage from the disks in the system or the OEM partition.  This is not acceptable, either, and I have no idea how to go about face.  The transaction took place three years ago!

Please help; I'm already running on the razor's edge with the launch of this company.  This error is likely to destroy me financially.  I can't do what I need to do on the laptop - it is a low-cost, minimal machine and specifically, has no office and the ability to perform graphics... things cutting-edge software that I need to be able to do.

    Click Start

    in the search box, type

    System restore

    and press the Enter key

Once the system restore is displayed, click Next

Now put a check mark in the box "Show more restore points.

    What points appear now?

If there is a just before your problem, try this.

If this isn't the case - as I say, CANCEL any act performed by ASC and uninstall it.

Then run another MGADiag report and post it.
