I have Windows 7 reinstalled on my machine.  Now when it boots up, it hangs on drive A, two minutes or more.  The light A drive turns on but the screen is completely blank - nothing.  The machine will start subsequently, but it takes forever.  Is there a way to fix this?

A: drive is almost always a floppy drive, you have a floppy drive?  I ask because most of Windows 7 computers is not these.  I would check the Device Manager to see if a floppy drive is it shows.  Since you say a drive light turns on, it's the floppy drive or maybe your CD/DVD or hard drive fire?  It seems more likely that Windows is suspended to try to identify a USB device, so I would try to unplug all USB devices except the keyboard and mouse and see if the problem persists.  I had this happen with some markets good USB hubs.  You can always add additional USB ports "inside the box" If you have a desktop computer by getting an expansion card - they are not expensive.  They usually cost between $15 and $25.

    Good luck.

I installed Windows 2000 on a virtual machine to another Windows XP computer. I'm under the it on my new computer with Windows xp. In the Device Manager on Windows 2000, it shows a map network intel but on the computer Windows Xp host computer and in the "settings" on the Windows 2000 installation it shows my Realtek card. Is the adapter intel a virtual card? I tried to uninstall the Intel card and then install the Realtek but Windows 2000 installation does not see the Realtek card. On a restart, the Intel card is reinstalled.

  • Windows 7 not recognized as true after reinstalling on one machine virtual Parallels Desktop

    Hi all -

I'm a Mac user running Windows 7 on my virtual machine (Parallels Desktop).  I did for years, even the upgrade to Windows 7 after using XP for a long time.
Recently, I had a problem with the upgrade of Parallels Desktop, which could only be repaired by removing and then reinstalling the Virtual Machine Parallels.  This, of course, obliged me to reinstall all programs (including Windows 7).  Since I bought my Windows 7 and Office 2010 at Staples (Yes... not online or eBay copy here), I know that my copies are authentic and I used Winows 7 for the years leading up to this relocation.  I still have the original case, the disks and the sticker with the product key.  I used this key when I did the re-install and everything worked perfectly... until today when I turned on the virtual machine and he asked for me to enter the product key, say something (I'm sorry I didn't write that down) on the exhale.  I got my key, Windows 7 came out, but it is said that "this copy of Windows is not genuine" I get message "you can be a victim of software counterfeiting".  Once again... I bought full fare at Staples, so I do not know is not the case.
    Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Restore Rman hotback in a different machine with a different database name

    Hi all

I have 11.2.0.3.0 of oracle in 64-bit version of Windows 2003 R2 server, I have my database of production 'Proddb' in archivelog mode, I took the backup hot RMAN at 09:00 and I want to restore this RMAN backup in a new Machine with the new name of the comic "Testdb" at 13:00, between 09:00 to 13:00 many transactions that happened many archivelogs generated...
Can someone tell me how to restore the RMAN backup in a different machine with the new name of the data base and how to apply these logs archiving that generated between 09:00 to 13:00.

    Thank you and best regards,
    John of Vikash

RMAN will go for it, that's the beauty of RMAN that does not require the intervention of the DBA to power each archivelogs per turn. Just to start the recovery and the next is your controlfile which contain information about your archivelogs sequence. The mechanisim of the application of the archivelogs see this link for details

  • Install of OBIEE on two different Machines

    Hello

I try to install OBIEE on two different computers (Oracle server in a display) and Oracle BI Server in others.

I installed Oracle Presentation Server and Oracle Application Server on a machine. When I try to install Oracle BI Server on another machine, it will ask for the location of Server. When Application Oracle I specify the location of the Application installed on the Computer1 server, the installation is not engaged.

What I have to install Oracle Application Server both machines.
And if anyone has any document regarding the installation of OBIEE on two different machines and how to integrate, please forward to me on my mail id [email protected].

Please let me know if you need other information.

    Kind regards
    Vikas

No, the instructions are not the same since Unix uses a custom ODBC driver, but Windows is not. To configure what you want in Windows just to go to your ODBC Data Source Administrator in your server which is installed the presentation server and change the name of the server in your driveway AnalyticsWeb ODBC from localhost to the name of the server where the BI server is installed.

  • How do I reinstall my Time Machine

My time machine seems to be full! How is it, I thought that old data will be removed and make room for new data. The text says; You have a space of 1 t, but only 300 free and you have 405 to race.
Now, I've lost the whole time machine, because I took it away. How do I reinstall my Time Machine?

    I don't understand the question...

I guess that you are talking about Time Capsule (hardware router with hard disk inside) of Time Machine (software backup on the computer).

I thought the old data will be deleted and make room for new data.

When you perform an update of the OS, it gets lost... He really needs wipe the drive and start again.

Now, I've lost the whole time machine, because I took it away. How do I reinstall my Time Machine?

Do you need to recover anything from the old backup? Or you want to preserve the old backup, then use archive... plug a Mac to format USB key into the TC 1 TB or more and it will do a full backup.

If you do not need to backup then simply click on erase and use the quick erase, which will take a few minutes at most.

So just to be clear. Once you clear the disk the old backups are gone... and you can then start a new fresh backup...

If this isn't what you want to do that... so DO NOT CLEAR... Once you clear, you can't recover.

But it's the way to start with a new clean backup.

  • WIndows 7 and Server 2008 machines won't remember preferences of network discovery, needs to set every time you start up or wake up.

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone here could be kind enough to help me solve this situation

I have two machines Windows 7 and Server 2008 machines remember preferences of network discovery.

I use the software on the windows server that collects data and information to two windows 7 machines and discover the network is necessary for this purpose

These machines are set up in an autonomous local network set up as a working group the only other points on the network are none based on PC hardware that fortunately, the server communicates with and reads the data of

Once network discovery is defined for the network, the system works as expected, but on each startup (or wake up) network discovery is lost and need to be authorized. This is the case at the time windows server 20008 r2 and windows 7

How can I make these permanent preferences. for that it restarts and re establish communication its self without intervention

am I missing a setting or if not is there a way I can script the selection preference on each start (/wake) upwards.

the end user must be able to turn on the system / restart and use it with needing to have any IT / networking of knowledge to the outside to get the system running.

Thank you for taking the time to read my request

I've set up another configuration of TCP/IP, but it does not connect. I need to access the 3 different machine networks. Any ideas?

    original title: alternate tcp/ip

If by "alternate TCP/IP configuration" you mean the settings on this screen--> http://tinyurl.com/42kbqqz, then, to quote Inigo Montoya, "you keep using that Word. I don't think it means what you think it means. »

The 'alternative' configuration settings tab, if you select "IP address private auto" (APIPA) or "specified user" is only used IF "obtain an IP address automatically" is set on the tab 'General' (http://tinyurl.com/8p9hn) AND the adapter cannot get an IP from a DHCP server.

Most cable networks use a DHCP server to automatically assign IP addresses.  In this case, just plug your Ethernet cable and you're automatically configured and connected.

If the problem is that your network requires a static IP address (that is, they use a DHCP server to automatically assign IP addresses), you will need a third-party network settings manager.  If you have an IBM (Lenovo) ThinkPad, you can use "Dial-up connections."
