The fact that your system works well in Safe Mode (w / network) indicates that a program run as part of your startup that causes this condition.  Safe mode is nothing else than Windows running with a bare minimum of programs and processes required to start your system (that is, all non-essential is cut off).

This problem will be a proposal of chance.  You need start your computer Safe Mode and run a configuration manager (msconfig or autoruns) and disable programs that run automatically at startup, until you find the (s) which is causing your problem in a selective way.  First turn off non-Microsoft and programs that extend if necessary MS programs.  These programs will warn you generally if you try to disable something you shouldn't.  After you turn off some of them, you restart normally and see if the problem persists.  Once you find the program/process disturbed, the procedure is usually obvious as to the difficulty (usually UN-installing then re - install)

When starting my computer will not have right to windows is said by pressing F1 or F2, he also says to look for floppy drive 0 failure

It is a message from the BIOS. You can press F2 and go into BIOS and select "set as default" then save and exit. The PC actually has a floppy drive?

    Hi Pops1148,

    ·         Is the question not confined with updated Microsoft Office?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: You can follow the steps in the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base and check if it works.

Troubleshooting Windows Update or Microsoft Update when you are repeatedly offered an update

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/910339

Method 2: Try the SFC (System File Checker) scan on the computer.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    a. click Startand type cmd in the box start the search .

    b. right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click run as administrator.

    c. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue

    d. at the command prompt, the following line and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

    File system (CFS) Checker

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/system_file_checker.mspx?mfr=true

Method 3: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: While hard disk analysis if bad sectors are found when scanning try to repair this area, all available on which data can be lost.

You can't do an anytime upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit. New ball game. Requires installation not an anytime upgrade.

    Hello Lscherr,

Thank you for your message.  To clarify, you are able to print out your design program?  You can try to perform a clean boot and printing of your design program.  A clean boot will start your computer without any 3rd party applications, you can then start your design software and test the printing functionality.  If you are able to print, the problem may be caused by another application of part 3.  Click HERE for instructions to boot.

  • I can't advocate for windows to start. Have uninstalled and not reinstalled no difference. Error OX 800106ba. Can someone help me please?

Sorry I'm new.  I accidentally deleted windows Defender. So I tried to install just that - it did not work, so I uninstall and then reinstalled and it still does not work.  I'm a great Grandma with no. kids to help hope someone can - thank you.

    Hello

    Here is the Vista Forums.

If you have uninstalled then reinstalled Defender using Vista.

Defender is part of the Vista operating system.

Read this information on the Defender:

If you use Norton, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, etc. the default action is for Windows Defender must be disabled, that these AntiVirus programs have their own Antispyware Applications.

    There is nothing to worry.

Using both programs at the same time can cause system conflicts, etc.

If you are using one of the above AntiVirus programs, this Information from David O - Support Engineer shows you how to manually enable Windows Defender (disregard information from uninstalling; not possible in Vista):

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-security/how-do-i-manually-start-Windows-Defender-in-Vista/dab845b2-9ba5-47F3-9518-c4c6781e7d5b

"Go to start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. Look for Windows Defender.

Right click and select Properties , ensure that Startup Type is automatic.

Once modified, click apply and OK.

Quit and restart your computer. Check the back take the same path to confirm that Windows Defender has started"

    .

If you want to have additional protection against malware using the version FREE of Malwarebytes AntiMalware:

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

And for now, change startup Vista programs without using Defender, use one of these methods:

Or the program Autoruns for FREE:

  • My key Windows VistaTM Starter will not work

My laptop was bought after 3 years... and now I'm fighting through activation problems.

When it is freshly installed by my uncle (in fact it has just changed), a technician was there to set up our component; He saw my notebook and asked if he wants me to degrade to XP because Vista is slow... since I'm naïve at this point, I just said yes, not knowing that my uncle made a lot of changes to the laptop.
For about 1 year, I went through different reformat (after degradation 1 time, I asked him to update back); up to 1 times my license key has stopped working. It's a key Windows VistaTM Starter legitimate , I asked some elderly parents w / knowledge to my problem and said it could be that someone stole my key.
I said 'No' because the key is known only to me and to the technician. I don't know if it uses it or what, but I can't activate it.
My laptop does not now, and he's going to need someone to fix soon... but here is some information that might help:
    • I have the media recovery disk, all the stuff for Windows Vista and the LG drive (where you can install display, sound drivers etc..).
    • The laptop model is LG RD405.
I hope someone could help me. PS; the call of my country cost much so I can't take the phone option especially since I have a bit in hearing deficit... and my position is on the Philippines.

    Windows Vista restore

My phone fell, and I can not get Windows to start.  The repair option will not work. I tried to use an upgrade disc, but the 'upgrade' function has been disabled. It says I have to do it from the office, to which I can not access. The repair disk feature did not work either. Is it possible to restore the system without losing my files?

Have you had your laptop, checked by a technician?

If you use a 32 bit Vista copy then any upgrade must be run from the Vista desktop.

    Hi Garry_x,

    1. were you able to use the DVD burner before with no problems?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer recently?

This can occur when more than one service is defined for a device, if there is a failure at the opening of the service registry entry, or if the driver name cannot be obtained from the service registry entry.

  • I dropped my laptop and now windows starts too slowly or not at all, except in safe mode.

    Hi people out there

I dropped my phone a few days ago and now Windows, when started normally, goes ridiculously slow and then stops before he installed the sidebar.

It still works in safe mode with networking and the other.  Then one of my friends suggested I just get my vista disk and re-install/repair windows.  However, I am currently in Poland, and my drive is in Scotland.  Is there a way I can solve these problems with my windows?  Can I borrow a disc from a friend?  I am really attached to money at the moment then, really, to take it to a store is very much a last resort.

Can anyone offer some (very basic please) advice on what to do?

    Thank you

You can also have problems of material thanks to a fall!

See if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
